This vid was actually enjoyable. The vintage collection was really nice, especially the Heuer two-register chrono, two Dirty Dozen JLCs, and a Pepsi. Grand Seiko has that nice dial but I hate Spring Drive. Great work, Big Boi!
@@MadMan-cp6tn Typical Tag, the new execution less impressive than the old. Just like the new Monaco, full millimeter thicker than model from 45 years ago.
Vintage Heuer are fantastic otherwise I wouldn't touch tag Heuer or reissued "heuers" full stop New ones are too expensive retail plus they lose too much aswell
95% of luxury watches lose a ton value once they are used. You have to be a fool to pay sticker price. Go to ebay or check forums and you will find bargains from IWC, BREITLING, TagHeuer and Panerai in mint condition w/box and papers. Sports steel Rolex and a few Omegas are a different beast , though.
@@cdm386 agree but you take a big risk with Frankenstein watches etc are you are a good enough watch expert to spot fakes and fake movements etc Bought my omega ,po 43.5 white dial/orange bevel with 20%discount brand new
@@pumaadidas Yes, you gotta be careful. If the purchase is $2000 and up, ebay sends the timepiece for authentication and once that multi point inspection passes they send you the watch. I’ve bought preowned watches in mint condition and with some warranty left from ebay and chrono24 ( if seller is willing to provide warranty cards and I also take it to my local watchmaker). I’ve also bought grey market brand new watches that ended up being knockoffs. Returned them in a heatbeat. Ad is good too... as long as you get a decent discount. Love omega .....Have a good day.
As far as tag heuer goes....I’d get rid of the TAG and keep it as HEUER. Also i’d get rid of their smart watches, quartz, formula 1 and link series .. all the low end carreras with valjoux and eta crap... OUT!. I’d re do the aquaracer from scratch and put it to a seamaster/ superocean level. Inhouse and no plastic garbage. Their carreras, autavias and monacos with inhouse movements are nice. Cut the garbage.
@@highwaystar3780 im torn on tag. They came up with some nice stuff like the carrera hodinkee and monaco heuer 02 but at the same time more overpriced quartz garbage and a mario bros smart watch lol…. gimme a break.
@cdm386 Your trying to Get me into watch Small talk and I'm Not sure I'm up to it? It seems you're Against a Company making watches for Peasants and Snobs at the same time? Are you Also Torn about Mercedes making Mass-produced Shit boxes and Minivans? Because that's where most of their revenue comes from !
@@highwaystar3780 You are confusing mass production with quality and affordability. Rolex make 2 million watches per year. Are they cheap or lousy? lol. As for selling to peasants and snobs…. well, guess what? You can’t please everyone. Omega, Rolex, Patek and others sell expensive shit. Can’t afford it? too bad. It’s gonna hurt one way or the other. On the other hand you have brands like Tissot, Victorinox and Seiko that offer decent watches for a good price. You don’t see them coming up with $7000 watches. A lack of identity is what got tag in trouble to begin with. Last but not least, tag is not affordable in any way….paying $2000+ for a quarts or $3000+ usd for a basic eta is a crime.
Arch you are neither a “dude or star”. A “DUD” definitely
@4:07 ........I think there is a very Oxley aroma
Thats much better Arch! Adding the image of the watch to look at. You deserved a LIKE for this!
Yeah it only took him like 10 years to understand that a watch review needs a photo of said watch.
The Pontiff doesn’t hate Tag Heuer because they gave him a colouring book

Nice watch but least desirable model of the camaro line (2 subdials, no tachymetre scale, valjoux 7733). I would have chosen a 7720.

Prices are dropping...seeing offers at 3k now...8 months ago was 4000 =minimum...Same with Heuer Montreal. Both watches are so nice. 2k is my bid.

Nice one Archie, great paid review!
That Heuer looks amazing. Why can't Heuer today copy these designs? It's so simple and yet they fail each time.
they copied it already, look for "heuer monza" ;)
