- Come spend the day with the San Joaquin County Sheriff's Office Animal Services Officer, Officer Aldine. Calls to service range from aggressive stray dogs and missing animals to injured birds of prey. Jump in and let's go!
I really enjoy these. Nice change of pace from the normal police videos.
Officer Aldine is awesome! We found an injured dog roaming the street by our house, my buddy and his wife took the dog to the vet and they refused to do anything, saying the dog wasn’t injured enough, dog had mange, it’s nails were super long and it was limping, so they brought him back to the house and we gave him some water and some treats, officer Aldine showed up and she said the owner called her on her way over and was coming to get the dog, the owner was a little old lady and the dog was 18 years old. But officer Aldine was so nice and professional and we chatted for a while. Great officer, wish they all took a page out of her playbook
I wish they would come out, I was told that if the dog is mobile they won't come out, this Husky has been in our front yard for 2 days, and can barely walk, I was also told NOT to feed/water it.
Thank you and your Friend for keeping him safe 🙏🏼 ❤️
If what you noted is true it further proves my point they refuse to do any kind of actual work and investigation, which is a normal part, should be a normal part of their job. It was with me! I gave all 100% of myself for the benefit of all animals. They’re too concerned about looking like cops and doing the jobs that are easy, open and shut.
What ended up happening with the dog…?
That's awesome! I love how you guys are being gentle with this confused dog. Hopefully, it’ll be returned to its owner soon. I also love how you rescued a red-tailed hawk and released it back into the wild.
🔥🔥🔥

How hard is it to chip your pet?
It’s super easy, they have a drive thru in Modesto, you can make an appt and your dog can get its shots, or chipped without having to leave your vehicle. I took my dog for her rabies shot and got her chipped at the same time. I was in and out in a few minutes and my dog sat right there in the front seat while they did both.
Is she a cop or animal control?
Exactly! I’m a retired animal control officer and the agency I came from prohibited us from looking like police officers/sheriff’s deputies. She looks ridiculous with that duty vest on and the job requires a plethora of physical activities, but not with that on. We wanted our uniforms and gear to look official, but not to the point the public would think we were sworn officers because we were not. When I was on the job the state did not permit ACO’s to be sworn, only non-sworn meaning we were prohibited from carrying a firearm.
This group will do simple calls, but when it comes to doing a call that requires due diligence…nope. Zero effort made.
How come animal control officers aren't armed?
They are armed. I saw a taser on their holsters.
