I'm so amazed how everytime they manage to add very specific bugs to items or even locations yet they think they can add multiple star systems when they can't even keep one stable. Just take a look at the patch notes, there's invisible geometry in a hangar again somewhere. Off to play some Eve.
That massive explosion from the main turret, but no splash damage is hilarious, plus 0 reaction from the guard, like he knew he was immune to the tank. Nothing like multiple bugs working together to get the kill on you.
To my knowledge The Outposts used to be the only means of obtaining artifact items. For unknown reasons, CIG decided to remove artifacts from the loot tables. For a long time these outposts also had loads of Dolivine which was where the real money was at. Back then I came for the dolivine and took the artifacts as a little side bonus. CIG went on to nerf the amounts that spawned in. Now there is literally zero purpose to the outposts except for the chance at snagging some low-mid tier subscriber gear.
So I defended a small outpost spawn from npc pirate yesterday using the nova tank. A drake cutter and anvil pisces. It was pure luck they spawned while I was playing with the nova. Anyway, I had to hit both many time to destroy them. Like five times for the cutter and more for the pisces. Like I'm amazed they took more than two hits from the ground tank. It seems the nova is just pure explosive power with no penetration or splash damage. I wouldnt mind seeing a video showing how uneffective the nova is against ships.
@@MikePhilbin1966 interesting way you worded it. In art they say that parameters or constraints and what the artist creates WITHIN those constraints is often amazing. Conversely, when you take away constraints *a space sim where you can do everything* and *no time limit or time table to complete goals* fosters an unfocused, unfinished outcome.
this makes me want them to update the higher rep bunkers and ground missions to include vehicle enemies starting with a tumbril and moving up to a tank at the highest
Zim Zimmerman I am using energy guns, those wouldn't move anything :). (Clarification: light has a pressure too but it is very very very weak, can work with solar sails, but even 1000 of the strongest lasers we have on Earth don't even move a piece of paper)
@@Camural while i dont necessarily disagree with you here, I will note that if these were lasers you wouldnt see them moving slowly through space, imo they would have to be some physical projectile to look like that but I also havent looked at what the law is claiming
they have shown quite a bit on the new NPCs being able to traget and fire missles at vehicles, so hopefully that will include ground vehicles and wont be 10 years down the road
I mean no one responsible for the Nova actually played or searched anything about tanks, that's impossible, or they're just the dumbest persons alives. You're telling me that the UEE fought the Tevarin War with this ? Really ?
Ursa is really all you need to do this. even a cyclone, with a guy on teh gun will handle this well (thanks to magic defenses preveting you from getting shot in the driver seat)
Joel Ellis yes light has a pressure too but it is very very very weak, can work with solar sails, but even 1000 of the strongest lasers we have on Earth don't even move a piece of paper.
Its been 10 yeas and I still cant tell if this game is suppose to be realistic space sim or arcade. A lot of their vehicles and tech wouldn't even be accepted in modern times. They really needed to hire a couple people that could consult with them on military, racing and civilian designs instead of the Chris likes that concept art make that one approach.
will moore Chris doesn't care. Just look for example at Atlas chassis (Ballista, Centurion, Spartan). Those vehicles are way too tall still have very little ground clearance, because CIG insists on standing walk-able interiors and Michelin man. I never understood, why CIG doesn't look at real world examples, for example real 8x8 military trucks and goes form there. Instead CIG always goes their own flawed way. It would even save time and be quicker to start with real vehicles.
I guess that NPC took revenge for your "shooting fish in the barrel" 🙂. At least the pirates were clever enough to use the Cutty Black instead of the Steel. But seriously, so many issues are still open for such a long time. I have a Conny and with 3.19 the snub is still not usable. And often things that got fixed are broken with the next patch again. To me, this looks like there are serious issues with the underlying engine/architecture. Typically Devs love to fix things - especially in their own code - and certainly when it is an easy fix. But if there are too many hacks and fixes in the code, this can be a time consuming task - and so this gets delayed, hoping it will be more easy to fix in the future. (or management has different priorities).
They keep that tank as is Design another brand/ another tank fixing a bit of today's issues, sell it, make millions to be tank of the patch. Few months later, complete drop & nerfed, and then start design another cycle. Do you really think nova will end up the only one tank? I am sure we'll get hover tanks, multi target tanks, tanks do it all, monoseat tank, emp tank and so on!!!!
S R once again CIG has no common sense. Gun depression is very important for a tank (does anyone at CIG play World of Tanks?) Only reason to go with less than -10 degrees of gun depression is you want to keep your tank low, you are more of an attacker than defender (e.g. Russian tanks, but even the new Russian Tank Armata has good gun depression.). Some "genius" put a flashlight/gun sight under the barrel to limit gun depression to only -5 degrees. Is no one at CIG supervising anything? Cherry on top, the mini turret has the same low gun depression. I talked about all of this years ago in my videos when Nova tank was introduced but CIG doesn't care. Good to see that this is a real problem, I couldn't hit the NPC.,
@Camural dude, everything is studied to the T. They knew or had strong sense of issues when designing nova. They use those issues to propel design sells. Next tank might have better depression but... won't hit as hard or has less armor, or is slower etc... Slipping through design mistakes are meant to be. It eases sells "Me I prefer"... and creates balancing solution. Only 2015 and earlier ships might have unintended drawback. Rest is 100% volontary.
New "tank" is coming in a few days. Tumbril Storm. Not sure what the weapon is, but seems to have a double barreled something on top. Supposed to be faster and more nimble than the tonk. It should easily be more nimble I mean it has 4 tracks instead of just 2. Quite surprised that modern tank companies are not doubling the complexity of the drive system to provide no real discernable improvements.
I'm so amazed how everytime they manage to add very specific bugs to items or even locations yet they think they can add multiple star systems when they can't even keep one stable.

The game that developers lied about adding features to?

derpty derp last time I checked Nova tank vs vehicles, the Nova Tank gun actually had a bit of splash.
The guy who shrugged off tank shells must have been Superman. Anyone got kryptonite shells?
CI: We give you 15 new settlements!
Player: Is there any purpose in any of those new settlements?
CI: We don't need this!

Another classic! Have a good day my friend. They didn’t have time to fix the tank bug because they were to busy making the Fury
550 millions year 11, terrible AI, no gun depression, useless outposts, what is going on Mr. Roberts?
No IDENTITY of what it is, as a game. No alpha short-list of features. Nothing to develop, and enhance.

It's a scam.
The game gives me regular depression now. Does that count?
@@Velthus I think it does. Yes. Good job. Big boat with no captain this project is.

@Camural current technology. SC is 930 years in the future, where handheld beam technology is used to lift objects much larger than a human!
😁😁😁
Did you know that, on a general by-date search of 'star citizen' on youtube, your videos do not show. Have you been search banned?
Mike Philbin "Star Citizen" is always the first entry in my video tags.
I don't think my channel is search banned, but it is a small channel.
I second this and I'm subbed.
The bugs on year 11 are very embarrassing.

Nein,nur der rechte Sitz.
Achso, eigentlich schade... 😐
