She is weirdly in front of the beat here the whole time, wonder why that is

Probably mic placement. With a live show like this it is very challenging to capture the sounds of everything at the same time. She has a dedicated mic that goes straight into the mix. The rest is captured by area microphones which will not get the sound as quickly. Should usually be fixed when it is mixed in the studio by adjusting the tracks for the different sources to sync.

I think it might be the composer's intention. It's technically called "anticipating the beat" and is part of a "jazzy" style Quote:

More showmanship than craft. Very weak upper register which isn't even considered high. A very adequate performance.
