    couple questions, with United do you guys lock the windows on the dreamliner for long haul flights? and when you say show time is that when you have to be at the plane by?

    • @damnimloomin
      @damnimloomin ปีที่แล้ว

      Such a good question I absolutely hate the window locking it should only be used on the ground in between flights in very hot weather to keep the cabin cool in my opinion.

    • @MichelleHayashida
      @MichelleHayashida  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Usually not, but it is up to the international purser. They are the ones who control the windows!

      For show time I sometimes mean the time for check in at the plane and sometimes mean van time 😂 I should probably start differentiating them because I am sure it can be confusing to those watching!

    I forgot to add that, if you ever miss eating pão de queijo, there is a place in AZ that sells it. It’s called Açaí Republic and it’s owed by a Brazilian. They also have coxinha (read côsheeña), guaraná (a Brazilian soda) and , off course açaí bowls. The place is in Goodyear, so a bit of a drive from Scottsdale, though.

      I will have to check that place out the next time I'm near Goodyear. Thanks for the suggestion 🥰

    This is so cool. I know you do a lot of domestic trips, but when one of these come up it's true gold. You are right on on the having your camera or cell phone out in Brazil, better safe than sorry. You do an Amazing job editing your videos. Could you possibly do a starter video for us who would like to post videos on youtube as well? As always.....travel safe my friend!

      Oh man, I feel like I am not the right person to do editing videos since I still have so much to learn haha! I'm always googling things or looking for tutorials 😂 But thank you so much. I'm happy to answer any questions

    Hi I am glad you finally made the trip. Just a question, when flying to some where like SÃO PAULO do you get a security briefing from your air line or is it part of your training?

    • @MichelleHayashida
      @MichelleHayashida  ปีที่แล้ว

      We do not get an official security briefing about our layover, but we do briefings for the flight which often include some safety & security information!

  • @vanessaruiz4705
    @vanessaruiz4705 ปีที่แล้ว

    OH, i saw there is a Daiso Japan shop in that shopping centre! It's a super cute store. And how do you communicate with your crew while on the layover? do you exchange phone numbers...? or is it through the work ipod/phone?

    • @MichelleHayashida
      @MichelleHayashida  ปีที่แล้ว

      Usually we exchange personal phone numbers but sometimes room numbers to call each other's rooms!

    • @vanessaruiz4705
      @vanessaruiz4705 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@MichelleHayashida oh, actually room numbers might be even simpler :) thanks for replying.

  • @damnimloomin

    is it different when you get a layover in base from a delay? Like are you guys more autonomous instead of going to and from the airport as a group? I just noticed you said you wanted to get there early and it made me wonder how that works instead of a normal layover.

    • @MichelleHayashida
      @MichelleHayashida  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Usually if we are taking a van to the airport, we go in the same one so we meet at the hotel at the same time & all go to the airport together. Often times our vans are pre-planned for us so we don't have flexibility of when we can leave. For this hotel, we could walk to & from the airport, so we decided to meet at the gate!

    Damn, the engineer should fix the plane, before it's time to board the plane, instead of delay until the next day, which suck, they miss their connecting flight. On your 2nd flight, how many hours did you sleep on the plane?
