I honestly thought the collectibles would get annoying, I WAS FOOKIN WRONG. Every single field page, butterfly painting, etc encourages you to explore. It's not a simple go here & pick it up, sometimes it requires a puzzle, sometimes just a spell. ENCOURAGING EXPLORATION WILL ALWAYS BE KING
Couldn't disagree more. There is a single round of discovery that usually just involves throwing every spell you have at a new interactable until it spits out a collectible. Then theres no more thought. These moons, the floating pages, the statues, the lore pages, the chests, the trials. Its all braindead busywork checking things off a list, and due to it being your main source of xp you're borderline forced to partake in these lazy collectathons. It's a shame. It feels like they spent so much time creating this world but then ran out of time and were told the game needed to be x hours long so they just stuffed it full of this crap.
When it comes to unidentified gear. You need to identify it as soon as possible. If you find something at level 1 and wait till level 40 to identify it. It will be level 1 gear. The only thing that does not change is the selling price. Legendary gear will always sell for 200g.
Main Point that should have been pointed out, this Quest is Added _Automatically_ at the start of *Autumn/Fall,* don't think you have to talk to the guy to trigger the quest. I spent an hour trying to find the guy just to read comments saying the quest becomes available after some story quests.
Spent 2 minutes looking for something like this, my quest hasn’t popped up or the dude isn’t where he should be so I’m like yeah I’m fucked and just kept pushing
Even more than that. You got the butterfly frames. The braziers you have to ignite to get field pages. Also there is a bridge with a puzzle and there is a room below with loot
There is soooo much collectible content it's insane. But what I love is how is allows you to explore and find things at your own pace. Plus using magic to find these items feels super satisfying.

EDIT: found it - South Wing out-of-service toilets: Entering Gryffindor Tower from the Defense Against the Dark Arts block, walk along the corridor and past the unlocked bathroom to find a locked prefect's bathroom with an out-of-order sign on the doorknob. EDIT: An extra 20 seconds of video from each FOO showing exactly where to go would have made this a great video.

I don't see any bathrooms =/ ughh *** -- NEVERMIND -- found it. I agree completely. Exploring Hogsmeade I found level 1, 2, and 3 locks. Didn't know how to open them. After I got the Alohamora quest for 2 statues, I did that immediately and then started looking for statues until I got level 2 unlocked. Since the only place I had ever seen level 3 locks was Hogsmeade and Hogwarts and I could open those whenever I want later in game, I decided not to spend time on level 3 right away. After some time I went on a quest into a dungeon and found 2 level 3 locks in there that I could not open. When that quest was finished, I knew I was never going back in there. Now that I found level 3 locks that I only had one chance to open, I put all questing on hold and hunted down 13 statues to get the ability to unlock level 3. Totally worth it. Never had to walk past an unlockable door or chest again.
Tip for the initial quest: if you get caught, quit to the main menu then just continue your game and it’ll bring you close to where you were when you got caught, with everything you collected already done.

Whats the prerequisite for Gladwyn Moon to spawn there? I've been all around the castle (except for hospital wing) collecting house chest tokens, and various other things, but still can't find him to learn how to pick locks :(
Likely at some point in the story. (slight spoiler) I have already been to the one eyed witch for a quest reason and never saw him. That being said the game doesn't point these people out to you very well. the easiest way to look for sidequests is to deep dive into a location on the map the same way you would for fast travel and look for a kinda black/white shield or crest icon. That denotes a sidequest available. Currently I am finishing some Herbology/Potions extra curricular spell learning in the story and have not spotted him.
@@jvaughan6992 Thanks for the insight. I'm just beyond those two class quests - but not extra curricula ones. Im doing some exploring of the world at the same time. Really enjoying this.
So I followed a guide yesterday for the 10 in Hogwarts and the ones in Hogsmeade. It’s sayin go only have 9 out of ten in Hogwarts, I went back through the quite and went to all ten locations in Hogwarts but I had already collected them. Still showing 9/10 on the map in Hogwarts…any suggestions??

Anyone have any idea where the closest blue flame is to the demiguise in the bathroom? It's the first Emmy guy is that they show us where to get it but not enough info. Thanks in advance!
Any way to track which one you are missing? Ended up following the guide and still missing 1 going back to each location is going to be really tedious. :/
When does this happen? Because I've finished the library quest for Fig and still don't see this guy anywhere around that statue (I'm checking over by the puzzle door that your video shows him next to)
I have a question, maybe i am missing something, i am level 13, and still have yet to earn any talent points, it keeps saying i need to finish more of the main story, how much of the main story do i need to complete? This is worrysome since the level cap is 40.
Q: Does all legendary items scale with character level, let say, if you find it on level 12, will that legendary items go up the same level as the character from 12 to 16 to 40 (yes, they all identified), for example?
Make sure you have room in your inventory for the gear before you open the chest!! I opened 2 whilst full and the item disappeared. I was unable to come back for it, nor clear a space, it was just gone. Pretty dumb imo.
Destiny 2 player here. This is like fun easy grinding. I'm very happy. Bungie could take some pointers, and like every other developer. This game is great. The trans are pissed.

How do you wait until night? When I started doing to quest I was starting to give up because night feels so fast but day feels so long and I either missed where it told you or I didn’t pay attention.
Go to your map, on the bottom there is a WAIT command. The button is different based on your platform
@@LegacyGamingUS ok cool thanks. Yeah I guess just being use to maps in video games I don’t actually tend to look at anything else but where I want to go. Now I can feel free to do these quests thanks again.
About 10 main story missions in and the side quest mission will show up. It is not early in the game. After the first trial.
@@jvaughan6992 Thanks for the insight. I'm just beyond those two class quests - but not extra curricula ones.
Im doing some exploring of the world at the same time. Really enjoying this.
It's locked behind storyline, just keep playing through the story
So I followed a guide yesterday for the 10 in Hogwarts and the ones in Hogsmeade. It’s sayin go only have 9 out of ten in Hogwarts, I went back through the quite and went to all ten locations in Hogwarts but I had already collected them. Still showing 9/10 on the map in Hogwarts…any suggestions??
If your sure u picked all of them just go to the guy and it will work
@@rejectdiorr I figured it out. 👍🏼
Can you turn in the statues as you get them or do you have to turn them in all at once? Thank you
You can turn them in as you get them
Where/from who do we get Alohamora I? I'm lvl 14 currently, haven't came across it yet.
Keep advancing your main story. You'll get owl post after fall transitions.
Using my headphones, I find it hard to trace the 'ping' sound when using revelio. I hear it but can't tell what direction it is coming from.
There is an accessibility option to turn on "visual indicator" highly recommend that!
Yes this is extremely tedious but as you say it’s totally necessary to do this quest.
Story was pretty cool how to twist at the end didn’t see coming going to go to my second play through.
Second play through!?!
Why fly thru the game that fast
@@jayreese4832 I feel the same, but I’m excited to get around to my second play through tbh. I did not make my wand the way I should have. I wasn’t sure we could change the handle and didn’t make my first wand accordingly. My second wand will be 100% mine
Professor fig is a bad guy huh ?
@Jay Reese if i had to guess, it's probably so he could make a comment like this one and think people would be impressed.
I’ve found so many of these just exploring and playing the game. Sucks you can’t actually collect them until you talk to the main guy for the quest.
Anyone have any idea where the closest blue flame is to the demiguise in the bathroom? It's the first Emmy guy is that they show us where to get it but not enough info. Thanks in advance!
Caution! Don’t play while high.
I picked up all the ones on this list but I still need one more to unlock lvl 3 but when I pick up another one it's not counting
what about those locks that don't show Level I or Level II or Level III lock? can those locks just not be unlocked?
Any way to track which one you are missing?
Ended up following the guide and still missing 1 going back to each location is going to be really tedious. :/
I'm in the same boat. Got all but one. You have any luck?
@@ryguyone Nope, but turns out there is 33 or something so i just grabbed another one to finish the quest.
Thank you
Are there any missable quests?
I like how in god of war 2018/ragnarok I can just finish up the game after the story.
What location is Demiguise 01 in? The video didn’t show the name of the location
Where is the one near the transfiguration courtyard? The video only shows the door and not the route to get there
When does this happen? Because I've finished the library quest for Fig and still don't see this guy anywhere around that statue (I'm checking over by the puzzle door that your video shows him next to)
The guy that gives the mission/quest will send you mail to meet him that will start
@@NathanKN Okay, thank you!
Thanks.
I’ve seen so many of them 😂 I was wondering what purpose they served 😅
I just started playing and can’t get down to Poidsear Coast. Plus I don’t have level 3 lock picking unlocked.
You gotta keep progressing the story to unlock that part of the world
I have a question, maybe i am missing something, i am level 13, and still have yet to earn any talent points, it keeps saying i need to finish more of the main story, how much of the main story do i need to complete? This is worrysome since the level cap is 40.
You'll be around 15 or 16 when you unlock it
@@LegacyGamingUS ok thank you, people were saying talents unlock at lvl 5 so i have been worried that i am doing something wrong.
@supaflyrvguy2768 you'll get the points from level 5 but won't unlock until 15, you should get 11 points to use when you do
@@Tekkaz82 thank you fpr that update.
Q: Does all legendary items scale with character level, let say, if you find it on level 12, will that legendary items go up the same level as the character from 12 to 16 to 40 (yes, they all identified), for example?
They don’t scale in real time, no. They scale based on your current level when you acquire them
@@LegacyGamingUS Got it, thanks.
Make sure you have room in your inventory for the gear before you open the chest!! I opened 2 whilst full and the item disappeared. I was unable to come back for it, nor clear a space, it was just gone. Pretty dumb imo.
Thats not supposed to happen. If I run out of room, i just destroy a cheap piece of gear. It's a shame one doesn't get any materials from doing that.
Destiny 2 player here. This is like fun easy grinding. I'm very happy. Bungie could take some pointers, and like every other developer. This game is great. The trans are pissed.
Isn't it better to wait until you get to level 40 to collect these? So you can get the best gear for a max level character?
Yes, getting legendaries at lvl 10 is stupid
I can’t find the one that’s supposed to be near the transfiguration courtyard… anyone have any tips? I’ve looked all around the area and thru all the doors and haven’t come across the area in the vid yet
im stuck here to.. the guy starts the video right at the damn door not telling you where it is.. Ive been looking for hours
