The main difference between them is their operating model.
Crowd Cow focuses on giving consumers the choice of monthly subscription boxes and also letting one buy individual cuts separately for a one-time fee. These meats include Japanese Wagyu, premium steak, grass-fed beef, lamb, and Wild Alaskan Red King crabs, and their availability depends on the season.
On the other hand, ButcherBox focuses on only offering consumers subscription box options without the flexibility of adding or removing cuts of meat from each package. Customers cannot choose individual cuts either - the company instead sends various meat cuts depending on the box one orders. Crowd Cow wins offers greater flexibility in meat package options.

I felt there was bias against BB. I do like that you can buy however many cuts from CC, but BB also allows you to choose what variety of specific cuts as well in the custom box. Which this one forgot to mention lol just that there was no option for it. 🤦🏻‍♂️

Crowd Cow more affordable? You must be joking... I used to buy from them for 2 years, their stock was going down and prices going up, when I quit them, most of the stock was Wagyu beef starting at 100 dollars per pound, their fish, pork and what was left of the beef were prices outrageously. And frankly, there was nothing to buy anymore, the specials that used to be decent now include only Wagyu and very little of anything else. The chicken I was going was never super fresh and the skin smelled rancid, steaks had a lot of gristle.
I am getting my Butcher Box in a few days (I get it every 3 months) and for 350 dollars I am getting 47 pounds of meat which includes steaks, pork roasts, fish, scallops, ground beef, beef chunks for stew, sausages, shrimp and bacon
