As someone who just watched the movie, I'll say that while I had big expectations, this movie fell way short of what it could have been and missed the mark. Visuals were great, but poor storyline and having to take many quotes & character representations from the other sequels trashed it. Sometimes non-stop action deters from actually having real back-stories. It is gimmicky at best and unoriginal.
But how was the audio?
@@FURognar Decent 5.1 surround, but lacking noticable Atmos ... like so many movies, the Atmos was not mixed well IMHO. I have a 5.1.4 setup and no noticeable height channels were heard... for me at least. They get lost with the bed-level channels.
@@csimet if you look at the object activity in this video, its showing quite a bit of activity, some of it at significant SPL. I was planning to watch this soon. On my day off I'll rent it and check it out. I have 7.2.6 Atmos setup.
@@FURognar I just couldn't hear it. I need to rerun my Dirac room correction again... perhaps my heights are a bit off and need some boost. Let me know how it is for you and your setup. BTW, I plan to uplift my system to 7.2.4 down the road (I run an Onkyo TX-RZ50).
