These are really good alternatives to welding. Useful for people who either don’t know how or who can but don’t have one handy. That last method that doesn’t require any fixings left me stunned. And the angle grinder control on display here is noteworthy. I consider this video instructional grade.
Thing is folks, maybe his home shop or someone's home shop won't support a welder or they are not that good a welding. This is a decent alternative for many home projects / prototyping. Great video with good ideas
Thanks so much for putting out these ingenious ideas for joining metal non weld. Although I would love a welder I have no where to do it, so this is the only way to go. I would add that I think a bench drill is a must when drilling metal or wood for that matter.
I love this idea. I as looking for a way of getting my 40x40mm square tubing to connect without having to try and weld them really badly. I'm not technically proficient at the game as yet so I need a better way of connecting my tubing together. How strong is that connection though. Could I suggest making the bolts connecting the 2nd length to the 1st after u have added that small brackets with the bolt in it by using smaller bolts to connect the 2 longer pieces?? Would that make the connection stronger do u think my friend..?
Good idea po.. I was thinking if i can DIY the railings of our terrace without welding now i have an idea and i don't know how to use the welding...hehehe maybe i can use the fist and second idea..thanks po for the idea
i am thinking since last summer to buy or not to buy welding machine to make my own gate instead of pay to someone to do for me. but i could not figure out how i should do it without that machine for one use. so now these ways are a great way of making it.
Gawd dayum that ingenious! Thanks for sharing. As a survivalist one of my biggest fears is how will we bind metal we find without commercial power. The whole world should see this.
Nice ideas. How much load can this joint take? It depends upon rivet strength. In days of mass production how can we execute large joints seems to be a challenge. If any idea is there must be welcomed.
Great video. Was thinking of buying a welder and teaching myself how to weld to build a lid for a trailer. Now it think your way will be safer with tools I already have and know how to use. 👍
If you're like me & don't own a welder or know how to weld or risk damage to your eyes & lungs welding then this is a much safer method to join square tubing together.
Are you implying that a $9 angle grinder from Harbor Freight is as much as a large expense, requiring separate shop space and 220v power like a welder? Cause for someone that needs strong-ish joints in metal, and does not have access to a welder but is handy with an angle grinder this is awesome.
This method is ok only if you don't have the welding option...the problem is, it will wobble and over the time, become loose.. welded joints are strongest and wobble- free and also looks tidy...
Before 6o yrs our elders used revet for joints wituout welding .Titanic ship also self made rivete were used .weakness of rivet joints may bev caused ship immerse And accident before 130yrs .
The first idea is the most practical idea anyone can use and This is the first time i got a idea that I can do without cutting machines
Молодец! Приятно посмотреть когда человек выкладывает что то толковое и полезное.
Blessed are you, who can drill straight without a drill press and/or a drill guide!

This is fine If there's no available welding machine. Nice Vid.
I have been looking for a way to build a frame that I can drop off for welding without a 4 hours conversation about how I want it to look. Great idea!
Sounds great!
How do you hire a welder and how expensive is it?
Exactly
Very good tips.
Just hit my finger using my center punch today .I will be welding a bar to it tomorrow.
Thank you .
I love youtube! Thank you so much!
Last 1 was AWESOME!!!.. Thnx man!!...😎👍👍
Good, this is really useful for knockdown table, which is easy to assembly and dissambly
Good!! My pulse for welding is awful (by medical stuff) so this is a great alternative.
This is Very Nice to know specially when you don't have a welding machine. Your are clever.

Idea is good & can be used in light weight applications.

Very good work brother
You are a genius 👏
for heavy duty structures this will not be dependent, but it might do the job for small frames..
Saludos desde ECUADOR...muy interesante...👍👍👍
Great. professional.
Thats v.good for the ideas of knockdown furnitures
Good job.
This guy is a genius!! Particularly with the 2nd and 3rd method; the 1st method doesn't seem to result into a strong joint, though
Ide bagus dan kreatif , perlu dicontoh tanpa las
Awesome job very smart ideas
Thank you! 😊
Thank you very much for this work.it's very good work.
So nice of you
At 4:51 we can see that join is not perpendicular enough. But the technic is very appreciated. 👍.

Brilliant ideas, Thank you 🙏
Maybe now after one million plus views, he's earned enough to get himself a little Lincoln welder from Home Depot.
According to his channel he has 22 million plus views in less than 3 years so he should have made about $22,000 so far.
Or perhaps 2 spanners lol

The last one was easily the best! The rivet concept may not last as long as the other two- depends on the load though!
Very very good
Great idea

@@danl.4743 those who have grinder can do this if they do not have budget for welding machine
