I love this game so much! As a girl growing up in the 90s, the Metroid series and Final Fantasy games were my favorite because I could play as kick ass girls. Seeing this game previewed in game magazines, I was so psyched to have it ported to the SNES. When I rented X from blockbuster I played it over and over trying to “unlock” Maria, I thought my game was broken. Rondo is the best Castlevania.

While using Maria, press up, down, downforward forward and attack. Like doing a hadoken in Street Fighter.

This was the best difficult castlevania, SoTN and Castlevania 4 could get unusually easy. The soundtrack in this game is great, and SoTN is it's sequel.
