These cars are the latest ones to be refurbished from CD. The unfortunate thing is that I found the beds to be super uncomfortable. How did you sleep on that rock hard mattress?
@@Europe-By-Train interesting. When you say comfortable you're referring to overall experience or softness of the bed? I never tried WLABmz so I cannot really compare the two
@CalinFR The bed mostly. I sleep better on those, but the 6 hours long break might also help :). But overall experience is good, more sockets, better lighting, more spacious shared shower. I was recently on WLABmz to Zurich, the bed feels to be harder. And also, the compartments are kind of smaller. Deluxe compartment felt a bit claustrophobic due to a shower in it, and also the standard units next to Deluxe are made a bit smaller to give more space to Deluxe.
@@Europe-By-Train thanks for your response , so i have to buy tickets (2200CZK) and add reservation for double sleeper (1800CZK) ? or is there a way to book it together? sorry as it will be our first night train in europe
Check whichever is cheaper, CD or MAV. On which site you are trying? Usually, the price is shown separately on CD, first seat price and then additionally for bed, there it gives option to select Double for private room. MAV works in similar way.
@@Europe-By-Train thank you i can see it working through CD. for example EN 476 MEtropol / IC 576. last question: i see in the train detail that its stopping in Breclav until 5am and says "to train IC 576", does it means we have to transfer? Thank you very much for your answer :)
@@karnadyjuan Hi, just remembered - with CD, when you do a mixed booking (man and woman), it is important to tick mark, that you want to sleep in the same compartment. EN 476 stays for 6 hours in Breclav not to arrive to Prague at 3am :) It has only couchettes and beds carriages from Budapest to Prague, no direct seating ones. So if you book a couchette or sleeper, you don't have to change. Only the train is technically renamed to IC 576 as it runs as a daytime train with more seating carriages connected in Breclav, together with those few from Budapest. Does it specify any interchange times when you book, or only shows the connection as "EN 476 Metropol /IC 576"?
Best is to check Czech railways website for the actual prices. Link is in the video description. In February, I paid 43 EUR for second class ticket + 84 EUR upgrade for the private cabin.
Hi, if you mean 2nd class in a seating carriage, then there is no direct one from Prague to Budapest, but there are seating carriages from Prague to Breclav as IC577 (part of this train), and then several seating carriages being connected in Breclav from other directions to this train - 1 Hungarian from Berlin, one Polish one from Warsaw and 2 more Hungarian ones from Breclav. Part from Prague gets to Breclav after 1am, and then in a new set up, train leaves before 5am. I never tried, but you might be able to buy the seats separately either from PKP or MAV. Also the waiting time is smaller - the one from Warsaw arrives at 3:38 to Breclav. Possible, but not ideal.
Hello, I booked it on cd.cz, but I think you are trying to early. Ticket purchase seems to be possible only 90 days in advance. Today I see tickets only until 11th August.
Big up bro for doing this!
Thanks so much for sharing.
Thanks for watching!
7:00 I had no idea that MAV still had coaches in that livery (blue with orange doors). I thought it disappeared in the 90's

Actually, I find these (WLABmee units) quite comfortable :D, more than the WLABmz on the Prague-Zurich route.

When you get the company of a young Hungarian lady the bed quality doesn't matter 😂😂😂
Beds are the same
What's the most scenic train thus far?
From my ones Belgrade to Bar.
is it possible to have 2 person 1 female and 1 male in 1 compartment? (me and my wife)
I am sure it is possible when you book the whole compartment. If not booking the whole, then they separate men and women.

How did you book this train? Which website please? I’m having a hard time finding the website to book the same train for August. Thanks in advance!

When did you film that trip ?
At the end of February.
