@@worstcase519 mossberg didn't make the rail. The receiver pin get replaced with a threaded one that the rail screws into. The rail is heavy as fuck and those screws work loose under recoil, then the holes in the rail get turned into fuckin ovals. No more zero on your optics. I tried the quad rail, it looks tough as fuck, but if you actually run a couple hundred rounds, it'll fail. Almost every fucking thing you can bolt or clamp on a shotgun fails.
Owned my 500 for fifteen years now. Dropped the trigger assembly for the first time a month ago. I'll drop it again in another fifteen years.
@@crispybottoms I got a trigger and hammer spring kit from mcarbo that lightened up the trigger, and there actually is an adjustment that can be made to make the wall alot closer. Vast improvement, cause the 590a1s have like a double- nested hammer spring that's like a garage door spring. Strong as fuck for hard primers I guess. I got an extended action bar release you can operate with your middle finger without breaking your grip. Super handy. That's why I removed the trigger pack. Magnaport lengthened the forcing cone and ported it for me. These were awesome mods. The rail just sucked. Even under its own weight, no optic, it's clamp slid on the barrel and magazine tube and sheared the screws in the receiver pins. After they ovaled out the holes in the aluminum rail. I don't know, I just discourage it.
That looks awesome the only other thing I would do is throw on a sbm tactical brace for the function and extra tactical look
Quad rail looks dope but the weight would be the biggest concern especially after adding optics and tactical gear , I can’t justify getting this only for looks alone , 200 would be better spent in high quality ammo

How’s the breakdown and cleaning with the rail on there? Gotta remove it every time to take off barrel and all?
I’ve seen a few complains about the quad rails screws wearing down thru recoil, I am getting a shockwave soon and would like to get one of those rails, how has yours held up?

What brand mini shells are those?
I had mine exactly with that rail. The end of it always hurt my hand with the recoil. How do you do it?
The hand you use to pump the gun keep it more centered on the forend and try to keep it there. The first time i used the rail i did the same thing you described. Also maybe wear a tactical glove i usually do but this video i didn’t because i found the angle that worked for me. Best of luck and be stay safe.
Would that Quad Rail kit fit the 590 shockwave spx? Tx
I see that the 590 spx has a mount rail already attached if that’s on it the rail won’t fit. If it can come off then it’ll fit as long as the barrel is 14in.
@pistolpump4766 The top rail is described as "removable top rail" Appreciated. I was somewhat concerned about the barrel heatshield. Tx
@@MrX-nh4zl the heat shield will probably prevent the rail from fitting. Give mounting solution Plus a call and ask before buying this is the place i ordered mine.

These firearms are used for self defense, so I don't get your point. As for the rail and sight, I was thinking more in line with a small rail and a laser on top to detect the object 10 to 15 yrds out only.
Take that quad rail off that’s too much shit on that simple gun
