- John Deere displayed their 950K with a six way blade at Conexpo 2017 in the North hall of the Las Vegas convention center. I managed to grab this video of it moving out a couple of days after the end of the show.

People are such know it alls it's the largest with a SIX WAY BLADE...half of you probably don't know what that means...that fellow did a fine job chaining it down he had two chains on each corner..got it out of there with out a scratch...thanks for these videos they are awesome

Ive operated a 950 K Its a Pushing Monster. It just weighs too much for some Environments. The 850 K is aGreat Dozer. At least the ones Ive operated for the last 5 years ..Hill climbing FOOLS.They would climb a Tree if you could get her to stick... Though the 950K is a sharp looking machine. The 850 K is an all around better Dozer. This is just my Opinion...

The largest SUPER DOZER is produced by KOMATSU. The D575A-3SD weights in at 153 tons and makes 1160bhp . Its used for work in the Australian mines
This is not the largest six way dozer... the Cat D11T has a third function, which allows twin tilts, to actuate in reverse, allowing the blade pitch to pull the blade back and actually carry dirt - thereby having the 5th and 6th way. In a true 6 way(power/angle/tilt), Komatsu, Cat and Lieberr all have programs in the works to manufacture a D8 size(85k lb class), however, the whole blade structure must be redesigned, as the corner loading on an 85klb dozer can be significant!
SummitAggregates I new someone would mention pitch control which technically makes it 6 way...we just got a cat d3k that has this feature not so much for carrying dirt but for fine grading I guess it makes it an 8 way lol

The 950 series and 1050 series JD bulldozers (over 300 HP dozers) are made by Liebherr Construction Equipment. They are marketed in Europe as Liebherr products.

maybe for large jobs? Have you ever tried painting the side of a barn with a toothbrush? No, you use the tool that is appropriate for the job
If I needed to level something that large, I would not select my dozer to do the the job. I would also challenge anyone that I can level a job with my semi-u blade as well as they can with a straight blade. U just can't use the straight blade for much else. That was my point. U have all that horsepower to move dirt but u can't bcuz the blade isn't made to push.
U want to smooth something out, use a grader, box blade, skid steer or find an operator that can do it with a semi-u blade. Something that can b used to push, carry or level ground.

This is definitely not the biggest bulldozer built. The JD 950K is 265HP and 35.5 tons in weight and fails to make the list for the 10 largest bulldozers. The Acco bulldozer, a one of a kind unit, is 1301hp and 183 tons is in fact the largest and most powerful ever built but it only has a standard blade. In number 2 position is the Komatsu D575A - 3SD, the largest production unit, with 1167HP and 153 tons and can be ordered with a 6 way blade.

And the largest dozer with a six way blade, is in fact a D11T, with the carry dozer option, where both tilts actually pivot backwards to allow the blade pitch to actually carry dirt, thereby utilizing a third function, or 5th and 6th way.
Dozers on this kind of narrow low-boy drag will slide to the side very easily! This thing IS NOT chained down very well!
Herb Houston and you know how? I have 10 chains total on the machine. 2 on each corner of the tracks. Then one chain per blade and ripped. This machine will not go anywhere. It is perfectly legal and chained down properly.

deer should get real operators input from real world experience and then build something that track tor has no bogies for bottom rollers and blade angle pitch is Mabey 25 percent come to utah, wyoming, Colorado, etc. come hog dirt with a u dozer east has to his own. great idea but no weight factor given thought????????????
Dusty Wilson you can order it with push beams. 6 way blade is an option. ive ran several of these deere dozers. Theyre hydrostatic and will push and rip like no other machine in their class.

Oswald Cobblepot don't take my word for it. It was written on the blade that it was the World's largest with that type of blade. If you google the model and Conexpo 2017 you should be able to find it. I can't remember the exact wording.
Awesome Earthmovers no man you're right I'm only fuckin with you. A true 6-way is one that angles and that indeed is the biggest 6-way blade on a dozer. That being said technically the blades on the d10-11 and maybe the 9s (can't remember) have a pitch option for carrying material. So they do move 6 ways although are not considered 6 way blades. This one has a neat ram set-up for lifting the blade. Kinda like the D6t set up rather than the D6n (lighter trim version). Great video as always and thanks for posting. Always love watching them👍🏻

That lowbed driver needs to learn how to load a dozer with a ripper. The right side of the blade is way to high for transport. I wouldn't haul it like that.

I was the driver in this video, I loaded it that way because the blade is 15'5" wide perfectly straight and level. I angled the way I did because I brought the width of the blade down to 13'11". It's considered a reducible load. You obviously don't know shit and I'm sure that you are the keyboard hero. Thanks.
They're hauling it like that to minimize the impact out of Vegas - since it's new, you can't paint the corner bits and leaving it down without the corner bits painted is a pain - plus, being up, allows the angle and tilt combine so that machine is under pilot car restrictions. To each their own, but personally, I'd have loaded it backwards, for two reasons, not only the blade issue, but, with the blade further back in relation to the load you can see more around the blade, but, without a turbosock on the exhaust, with it loaded backwards, there's less chance to have air turbulence down the exhaust pipe causing the turbo to spin without oil. They probably don't have to go very far so the exhaust isn't an issue, but I'd think having it loaded backwards would have allowed better visibility coming out of the strip.
