Derided when new, and many succomed to rust, but the little ADO 16 ( code for the model ) are now immensely rare and being appreciated by a new generation for the fun they offer at a reasonable cost and easy to maintain.
This was a brilliant car road holding fantastic seated position just right and performance really excellent front wheel drive test in winter as well loved them glad some still around a design that could come back any time!?
Saludos.
Very nice. :) I am rebuilding one of these myself at the moment, but it is right-hand-drive. Out of interest(and as your car is left-hand-drive), which country are you in?
I had one of these from new in 1972, loved it, in Teal Blue, wish I could get hold of one today, love the Rev counter on this video 😃😃
Beautiful as this eager little engine sings it's way to speed, love this car & the sound of the a series engine
Just love the sound of this little machine!
Ah yes, the sound of my youth when me and all my friends had mini's in various states of tune! Everything from an 850cc to a 1380cc monster lol
The 1300GT was my first car and I loved it - thanks for sharing the video, the transfer box whine sounds great on the overrun!
This is Enschede area of Holland he's driving around.
Wonderful noise! Thanks for loading. Reminds me of my old 1330 mini with K&N and LCB exhaust

They're not that rare really. Right now there are 4 on Ebay UK.

This sounds AMAZING, the first gear whine and the growling exhaust are perfection.
now that sounds beautiful and goes well too
Sounds awesome, I've got one of these engines in my garage and your vid's convinced me to put it in something instead of selling it.
nice hear the gear change, my mate had one, we went every where in it,
Glorious! Certainly a LOT more power than my 1973 Austin 1100... hehe!
this car sound awesome.....proper old school engineering.....better than any modern car
An absolute classic!
Nice video!! Sounds just like my 1300 Austin too haha!
Simplemente maravilloso... saludos desde CHILE

Lovely car. If you're in The Netherlands have you picked up a few speeding tickets? I understand they're very strict over there on speeding lol.

Does anyone know where I could find one of these in the U.S.? I'd love to buy one.
You have to import one from Europe, I don't think that they were sold in the U.S., but maybe someone did this before and you find a cheap one. ;)
