You should have more than 219 subs man! I am glad I stumbled across this video...definitely going Harbor Freight DIY instead of the $800 JD2 hydraulic one!
One comment on leverage: The geometry is such that the ram is nearly square to the ram at the end of the stroke. This gives maximum advantage to the ram where it is weakest. Hydraulic rams are notorious for buckling under load while fully extended.
That Chibby Chibby Nomoo at 1:21. I cried. Dope video man. Off to a seriously good start. I was entertain the whole time. The sub titles killed me. All squids SIP
Okay, you made me giggle. GJ on the bender. Now lets see if it can handle a tube. Bend steel not air. :) I would love to see the vertical in action. Horizontal kinda sucks...hard to see the degree wheel. Grab a die...grab some meat and lets see it in action.....
I can buy a used but like new Jd2 bender Factory complete 20 ton with 1" & 1 1/4" Dies with floor mount tube & mount plate For $550 do you think thats a good price ?
That's the same bender that I just purchased and received. For those of you considering how to power your bender, keep in mind the Air/hydr. units are SSSSSSLLLLLLLOOOOOOWWWWWW and they will burn your compressor to the ground. They will use an 80 gallon tank of air for each swing of the bender arm! Not kidding! I just purchased a BRAND new JDsquared model 32, and right out of the box I knew I was not going to use the mechanical handle so I purchased the air/over unit even before the bender arrived.. Built a nice rolling stand using an old engine stand, got it all together and set up... and HATE the air/hydr. unit.. it's mind-numbingly slow.. and you get to listen to your compressor run for the 6 minutes it takes to do a full extension... Yeah! I just got off the phone with the guy that installed my 2 post car lift. He says he has a good, used, 110 volt hydraulic unit with reservoir set up that will work perfectly. If anybody is looking for a Habor Freight Air over hydraulic unit-I have one for sale-CHEAP.. Never used to bend a piece of pipe.. Just used to extend the bender arm to see how it would work.

Chaps my ass...sold my model 32 a few years ago, I should have kept it and just done this.
Cheers my man. Works quite well, and fits nice in limited garage space.

Can you make 180 degree bends with that setup ?
Yes.
The die determines how far you can bend. The die I use with this setup is made to bend 180, and will actually go a bit further.
