Dear Bhavana Devineni, you might try majoring in a closely-related field which is a STEM major. The SEVIS list of designated STEM majors includes Data Analytics, General CIP Code 30.7101 and Business Analytics, CIP Code 30.7102, or some other related field. Good luck!
Dear Harshavardhan, you can contact your advisor, and ask to slightly change your major. There are many CIP codes in the area of Agriscience that are STEM degrees.

Dear Vineetha Kadiyala, thank you for your question. Fashion merchandising is a wonderful major and field, if that is your career plan. No, it is not a STEM degree. Whether or not a major is STEM should not be your only consideration. If this is the major that gets you into the fashion industry, then by all means continue with it. The only STEM degree anywhere close is "Management sciences and quantitative methods", which is not close to Fashion Merchandising.
