set DB_CONNECTION=sqlite in .env ,uncomment the sqlite database in phpunit.xml file and run composer dump-autoload

What about unit tests can you give me an example please ?? I see almost everyone only writes feature tests for Laravel. Is this the convention ?

2 years later I came up with the conclusion no one really know what testing really is :) it's this sort of very philosophical concept developers like to debate about and delve into sophisms. The more you go down the rabbit hole the more you get trapped. I never really found a satisfying way to write tests for my use case where the laravel app serves as an api only.
