The only reason any progress has been made in the world of Funger is because the Old Gods began losing interest in humanity, their ideal state for humans is one of mindless servitude to carnal instincts, i.e. nothing to distinguish a person from an animal. They consider everything humans value to be a flaw.

In the Old testament Moses who talked to the Burning Bush and been anointed by God later he goes up mount Sinai to receive the commandments he tell the Israelites not to get close else they will die. For instances touching the Ark of the Convenant will result in death save for the priests a Guard upon seeing the Ark is about to tip over ran to hold it which resulted in his soul leaving his body.

@@thiagobustos7499 I don't know what happened with vinushka, but god of the depths didn't truly die. It was defeated, but it still lives on as a part of the ascended god. God of the depths also isn't even as strong or as prevalent as sylvian and grogoroth, since they embody life and death. Nothing could be stronger than them, unless it is the end of the universe.

Fighting Gro Goroth without status effects is probably the hardest fight in all of fear and hunger. Its amazing how much harder he is than fighting the god of fear and hunger.
I think it is because gf&h fight is supposed to be 3 vs 1 i guess. Also girl doesnt even wants to fight untill she fully transforms. Then she insta one shota out of mercy. While gro-goroth kinda tests you

you should try and get the ending A at least, to achieve that you gotta follow the exact same path as the gro-goroth ending but you must have the girl in your party. gro-goroth won't be there but something crazier will happen.
So Sad That this boss is a big Jobber, storywise he lost against -Cahara/D'arce/girl -Ragnvaldr/Moonless(while searching for the others after Enki sat on the throne)
Isn't this boss just the "traces" of gro goroth? If they fought the old god himself they probably would not stand a chance. But this boss is like just footprints, if you will, of the old god. same as the sylvian boss fight, they only fought a fraction of its original power. and these traces are holding back which means they're fighting a fraction OF a fraction of the old god
Cahara and the girl did not fight this thing Tho maybe God of Fear and Hunger did, but she would likely crush it since this is just traces and the God of Fear and Hunger is equal in strength to Old Gods
I am pretty sure gro goroth doesnt fight anyone lore wise because otherwise they would be immediately lobotomized except nash'rah who is crispy in termina. Cahara likely fought the god of fear and hunger (likely died) and ragnavaldr never goes into the god of depths in the first place he wipes out all the new gods but never bothers with any of the old gods.

with any character including ragnvaldr if you reach le'garde within 30 minutes (any longer and he is executed when you find him) you can recruit him (killing him is optional).
It was disappointing how easy this fight is. Have one person use pyromancy trick and another throw a poison dart at the torso and have whoever is holding the eastern sword slash at one of the arms. It doesn’t help that Moonless with jagged jaw is broken.
i suppose winning the boss fight and dying anyways because of some philosophical reason can equate to an ending... nah, game dumb. this ending has the worst exposition imo.
The whole point of the ending was meant to make you reflect, you could've become a new god, escaped the dungeon, fulfilled a prophecy or helped usher a god and era. This ending is pretty much "you avoided all that and now you're left with nothing, bro wtf were you doing?"
I still question if we could've beaten this gro-goroth lore wise. Provided this was a mere shadow or whatever of the real one, in the harder difficulty in the ending c route you fight the figment of Sylvain, who's a shadow of the real one like this one is; you fight that one to the fullest and kill it, so with that in mind, I question if lore wise you couldve killed this one since ue is the polar opposite of Sylvain- commonly stated, the two are complete opposites of one another in terms of ability, creation and destruction. But with that in mind, they would likewise have to share the same amount of power to compensate with one another. So if you ask me, yes, you could've killed gro-goroth, or at least this version of him. Sure it would've been harder since you're dealing with destruction magic here, but all the same I don't find it impossible to imagine.
You never actually kill the traces of Sylvian in her boss fight, she simply stops fighting you and leaves. I doubt the traces are still able to be killed, at least not through conventional means.
@@plumpo4047 well yeah but the thing is- we're just going by what the bosses refer to as "losing interest" and whatever; we have no idea if they were truly concepts all along or if they were actual people at one point who became the first/old gods, cause dont forget, a lot of things happened thousands if not perhaps hundreds of thousands of years ago, and a lot of thing in religion is based around personal impressions and details that have been lost to time and whatnot. I'm just saying, trace or not, god or not, i think with enough manpower we could easily kill the gods. I mean look at termina 2- either by yourself, or with just 4 people, they managed to overpower a god and ruin their plans. Imagine what a hundred people would be capable of, if not even a simple dozen ^^

Isn't this boss just the "traces" of gro goroth? If they fought the old god himself they probably would not stand a chance. But this boss is like just footprints, if you will, of the old god. same as the sylvian boss fight, they only fought a fraction of its original power. and these traces are holding back which means they're fighting a fraction OF a fraction of the old god

I still question if we could've beaten this gro-goroth lore wise. Provided this was a mere shadow or whatever of the real one, in the harder difficulty in the ending c route you fight the figment of Sylvain, who's a shadow of the real one like this one is; you fight that one to the fullest and kill it, so with that in mind, I question if lore wise you couldve killed this one since ue is the polar opposite of Sylvain- commonly stated, the two are complete opposites of one another in terms of ability, creation and destruction. But with that in mind, they would likewise have to share the same amount of power to compensate with one another. So if you ask me, yes, you could've killed gro-goroth, or at least this version of him. Sure it would've been harder since you're dealing with destruction magic here, but all the same I don't find it impossible to imagine.
You never actually kill the traces of Sylvian in her boss fight, she simply stops fighting you and leaves. I doubt the traces are still able to be killed, at least not through conventional means.
@@plumpo4047 well yeah but the thing is- we're just going by what the bosses refer to as "losing interest" and whatever; we have no idea if they were truly concepts all along or if they were actual people at one point who became the first/old gods, cause dont forget, a lot of things happened thousands if not perhaps hundreds of thousands of years ago, and a lot of thing in religion is based around personal impressions and details that have been lost to time and whatnot.
I'm just saying, trace or not, god or not, i think with enough manpower we could easily kill the gods. I mean look at termina 2- either by yourself, or with just 4 people, they managed to overpower a god and ruin their plans. Imagine what a hundred people would be capable of, if not even a simple dozen ^^
