    Friendly tip for anyone new to 3D printing. The layer lines are the biggest weakness of any print. So long as you make sure your layer lines are at 90° to however your print is going to be stressed you can make some amazingly durable stuff. Failing that, experiment with different angles or layer adhesion. And don't be afraid of supports sometimes the extra work is worth it.

      Yeah. I run 3d printed tent pegs in my backpacking kit, and I'll be exploring 3d printing polypropylene for ultralight 3d printed gear soon (polypropylene is the lightest 3d printable plastic by mass)

      Mike In The Woods There is a ven diagram of hiking and 3D printing. My interests now occupy those. I’ve printed for a year now and am just getting into hiking. Do you like PETG? My ender 3 has loved it

      Mike In The Woods same material as Nalgene bottles, will work on ender 3 at 240, 60 bed. You’ll have to mess with retraction for stringing and adjust z offset a little higher. It is perfect for outdoor use and is as food safe as you can get with 3D printing. It is springier than pla or others. Many colors.

    I'd love to see what decks this guy runs. Doesn't seem like edh from the size of em.
    But I did get myself one of those Senseis Divining Top life counters tho that was 3d printed. Awesome purchase and I get compliments on it all the time. But I love the sd card holder you made here. I'm looking at possibly getting a creality printer

    I was in the middle of deciding when I should buy a 3d printer. This video just decided it for me; I'm buying one tomorrow!
    I'm thinking the Ender 5 pro. Just curious, anyone got any objections on that as a first printer choice?

    • @certified-forklifter
      @certified-forklifter 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      well, i prefer all-metal hotends, but i know someone with a ender 5 pro, he is quite happy :D all the best.

      I'm not personally familiar with the Ender 5, but I use the Ender 3. It's pretty good for an entry-level printer
