Let's see what cloverleaf has to say...maybe I'll finally test INFJ because I think this channel is subliminally turning us all into INFJs. 💖 Edit: Nope, still an ENFP.
I would try out this test as well www.16personalities.com/free-personality-test It doesnt take too long, it is very accurate, as long as you answer truthfully. I know so many people who have done it and is 100% true, it gives you a detailed and entirely free report and there is discussions and serveys that you can do, so you can talk with other people from both the same and different mbti types as you. I did it, and am an Entp, a debater, and the report was so accurate it was almost creepy how muchthey knew about my thought process. If you find it inaccurate, i would suggest doing it again, try to be as truthfull as possible, don't be too dramatic in your choices and don't leave too many neutrals :) I hope it works for everyone else as much as it did for me
For real though, first I was like „oh that sounds like a quiet night out“, but the longer he kept going, the more I went „YESS LET‘S DO THIS“. Boom. ENFP.
If that keeps you up at night, you could always distract yourself by remembering one day we will all reach the end of our life and be dragged into the depths of the dark unknown by the cold hand of death. That’s what keeps me up at night. : 0
INFP, this is literally why we try not to be too confident because once we are someday, we will make mistakes that we will regret everytime we go to sleep.
Lol. This was a sweet one. Endearing. Reminds me of that guy who said when he was given anesthesia before surgery, they said he would fall asleep and wake up after. He said "OK, sweet dreams honey!" and the staff was laughing. It's cute and makes everyone smile
Lol. This was a sweet one. Endearing. Reminds me of that guy who said when he was given anesthesia before surgery, they said he would fall asleep and wake up after. He said "OK, sweet dreams honey!" and the staff was laughing. It's cute and makes everyone smile
INTP HERE and this was so accurate "It's my birthday Mom ? And how old I am now ? " Adding " Is it really needed to celebrate ? How did time pass so soon ?"
ikr.. my isfp mom wants to celebrate my birthday extravagantly and invite all my friends and... order cake...and more while me planning to put my phone on flight mode
I'm an INTJ who hates surprises and birthday parties and my friends know this. So they arrange a surprise birthday party for me every year just to annoy me. At this point I'm okay with it only because it doesn't surprise me anymore. I'll be very pissed if they stop surprising though, that'll be surprising.
@@serencaner5701 And they believe you? Maybe I lost my credibility over the years for using "visiting my gradma" as an excuse but my friends never believe when I tell them I'm sick to cancel something
INFP’s is so accurate....then they’ll be thinking about how they messed up ALL DAY/week/month/year. **update: I had an encounter today with someone who said “excuse me”, to which I replied “you’re welcome”.....I didn’t have the heart to correct myself 😂
I'm an INFP, and the truth is, when I try to comment, I retype and delete about 10 times because either I think what I want to say is sooo weird and awkward, or it might sound mean, and maybe it's just too boring. 😄
Check any comments left by infps you'll never find any spelling mistakes😆 (I think this goes for all introverts but especially infps) -an infp who retyped this I'm not saying how many times and cant decide if she should post it
And honesty I do not need alcohol to regret the texts sent by me after so much editing and judging it nearly for a hundred times from the other person's view☺
My other favourite INFP slip up... Person who works in the airport: Have a safe/great flight! My idiot self: You too! My idiot self 3 months later: *relives trauma in the shower*
Child Me - "TOMORROW'S MY BIRTHDAY!! :D :D" Pre-Teen Me - "Hey my birthday's coming up! :) " Teen Me - "Birthday again!" Young Adult Me - "21st Birthday's finally here. " Adult Me - "birthday." Current Me - "day." Future Me - "Family's gonna make a big deal about this upcoming birthday, aren't they? 9_9"
Hey enfp here(I feel like it's a must to say your type when you go to comment section but that's not important) HAPPY LATE, EARLY OR NOW BIRTHDAY WOOOOOOOOO🎉💐🎊🎂🎁🍧✨🎉🧸hahaha I just wanted to say that to a random person I pick in the comment section... SOOOOOO 🎉CONGRATULATIONS🎊 Goood bye 😄
INFP: once I met a nun. She then wished my mum a happy mother's day. And then I said :you too! It happened two years ago. I still remeber it every night.
As an INFP one time someone went beside me while they where walking to class. Out of habit I said “Ow!” They didn’t even touch me either. They were like “Ah! Sorry!” And I said, “you too.” IT WAS SO AKWARD
I feel that. I say "Ow" out of habit when I do something that would hurt if I did it stronger (like "hitting" something accidentally), even if it doesn't hurt at all. And then I bump into the wall and say "Sorry"
I'm an INFP and I never want my coworkers to know it's my birthday because I don't want them to feel obligated to get me something or guilty if they don't or, worse, actually get me something because then I'd feel obligated to get them something on THEIR birthday. lol
I am an ENFP and I tell start telling everyone that it's my birthday month at the 1st of september and then get sad on my birthday because the wishes are less than expected. It's my birthday month JBTW wohoo feel free to wish me on 24th september
ENFP here-- "let's just go have dinner somewhere" is ABSOLUTELY code for "I want a giant birthday bash, but I'm trying to seem kinda casual, kinda not."
Another INFP here. Many years ago, I had an opportunity to meet a musician that I admired and get his autograph-- he greeted me with, "Hi! How are you?", and I said, "Thank you..... I mean, I'm fine!" 😅 We both had a laugh because of my "thank you!" though, so that was nice! 😄🎶💖
INFJ: don't want a birthday-party INFJ: I hope people remember my birthday INFJ: please don't give me something stupid for my birthday...I can't fake a big smile today 😣
Dear INFP: I’m an INFP, and once a stranger said “Hello” to me and I said “Thank you” Also please keep working on your self-esteem! You’re doing great INFP, love you 💘💖💝💓💞💕💗
A stranger asked me to take a picture of him with his phone and when i gave him back the phone i've said "Thank you" .. Well xD what the fuck is happening in my head when i say that
Guys don't think being an INFP is bad. I Luv y'all. Everyone is different and every type is nice in a way or other. Y'all ain't awkward instead have a nice heart. Sincerely, An INFJ
INFP- that’s not a joke, that’s an accidental tradition. And everyone loves it....except me. But you know it’s the thought that counts...or you know...the complete absence of one.
Ah the frustration when I have to explain I don't like surprises and I don't want to share my birthday day or have a party with random people or family I don't normally see.
infp is so accurate i had the same thing happen to me once: me: *tries to walk into a store with CONFIDENCE for the first time* the guard: “welcome ma’am” me, confidently: “welcome” the guard: ???? me:??¿? me, realizing my mistake: AH NO I MEAN, THANK YOU *walks away faster without looking back bcos is embarrassed af*
It is soooo accurate, for the first nearly a year my istp friend refused to tell me her birth day AND didn't come to school on her birthday so we couldn't make a big fuss of it
omg ikr! I just had my 18th birthday and everybody was singing I don't know how it happened but the fucking plastic knife brokee while cutting the cake lmaoooo
Me removing my birth date on fb bc I don't know how to respond to a lot of people greeting me but then got slightly(or maybe not slightly) sad that some of my friends did not remember lol
I worked for a travel agency that sold flight tickets. I had to tell customers to "Have a safe flight" or something like that. Many of them responded with "Thanks, you too". So yeah, it's fine, many people do that. :)
I do it on purpose now because it's funny. And if I'm doing it on purpose, it's no longer me saying it because I'm a moron so completely distracted by my own thoughts it makes me say stupid things. Now it's me saying it because I'm smart and funny. ;-)
INTJ at surprise party: "I'm sorry to inform you that I was not surprised. I detected you planning this ruse two weeks ago. I didn't want to ruin it for you however. Thank you though.(damn I hate this. How did these people learn my birthday and get into my house.)
Right?? I suspect my family has something up their sleeve for my 30th next month. I told them I just wanted dinner with immediate family since I work and go to school but I bet I'll get ignored. My plan is to grin and bear it, and hope that they only invite people I like.
I admit, that I actually don't remember birthdays well, and I'd forget almost everyone's. It just tends to be a very hard thing for me, since I usually don't care about anyone enough.
I actually had a hilarious situation where I receive "Happy Birthday" from every schoolmates I met that day. But my birthday is the next day 😂 I don't bother telling them the truth though.
INTJ here, this is so accurate. My classmates + parents-teacher collab threw a birthday party for me at school (2nd grade or was it 3rd...) They saw the look on my face, and have never tried to throw a second one since. I'm eternally thankfull.
honestly, as an infp, that's my secret dream on my birthday. I pretend it isn't but I always half-hope for some surprise party when I walk into class on my birthday. It doesn't happen, of course. Stupid need to feel appreciated lol
*INTJ: "More than anything, I'm surprised you ding-dongs thought this would make me happy"* *I'm getting more of a kick out of that line than any healthy individual should* 😂😅
Honestly, as an April-born INTJ, the videoconference birthday was best part of the quarantine, because I didn't had to deal with anything except setting up a few devices. I'll probably miss that next year :'D
Ikr, idk why surprised party suppose to makes me happy. I rather makes my own party so I know what makes me happy and had a plan about it. I'm glad I celebrated it with karaoke (since I was in mood foe that) before this whole covid hit.
Me, an INFP: "I don't want anyone to know it's my birthday and pay attention to me. But, also, I want everyone to know it's my birthday and give me acknowledgment and special treatment. But I can't tell them it's my birthday myself because that would because that would be selfish and needy. But hopefully someone else realizes and tells people or the topic somehow arises naturally on this specific day." Or alternatively back in school I've done: "It was my birthday over the weekend with no one around. And I didn't bring it up yesterday when it was more recent. But I am going to bring a bunch of cupcakes to class today to celebrate. Maybe then people will like me. And even if they don't, I want a cupcake"
The first part is so me. I don't even tell anyone it's my birthday though. It makes me anxious that people will just be annoyed or something stupid like that. I sometimes out of the blue label myself as "selfish" when I think of telling people things. Godammit
Oh god I always feel like that (the first half). Like when I do something brag worthy, I want to feel the validation for doing that, but I don't want the attention, so I just hope that someone somehow makes me bring it up. Or, on the other side of the spectrum, when my grandma died, I wanted to talk about it and feel the warmth of my friends being there for me, but I felt like saying that would be selfish and attention seeking, so I'd hope that a teacher asks how my winter break was, so I could talk about it
So freaking true! In college (before the covid) I’d bring pizza for the class, if it falls on my B-day. But nobody knew I had Bday that day until I bring pizza)
I’m an ENFP, and may I just say that last birthday started off with breakfast at iHop and ended with me getting kicked out of Walmart with a flare gun. ‘Twas a blast.
Yeah, I'm an ENFP as well and on my last birthday I ended up sabering strangers with big foam sticks in the central park and earning a 100$ by just randomly playing guitar on the street, lol
Well doesn't everyone celebrate their birthday in the woods performing ancient rituals with a Shaman? I mean, come on! Happy Birthday Frank and the Ponies!
INFP - 2:27 DO NOT ATTACK ME LIKE THIS Edit: sjsjos thank you for all these likes?? 🥺 Y'all beautiful beans, keep being your awkward selves BC you're all perfect the way you are 💛
At first I thought you were responding to the INFP skit, as in the "happy birthday" could be taken as an attack in itself, which honestly I've known INFPS who have had this response. Like A LOT.
Ah no, ever since I said that in high school, I always keep myself in check to not say that. It's really first hand embarrassment. Every year, I resist the urge to say, 'Same to you.'
As an ISTP, once my friend told the class that it was my birthday. We didn't talk for 2 weeks. She's my neighbor. My classmate. And my friend, so it was actually an enjoyable lonely 2 weeks
Inner monologue of an INFJ 1 week before birthday: OMG. My life is passing so quickly. What have I accomplished? Who am I supposed to be?? Is there time to save humanity from ruin??? Day after birthday: Whatever, I do what I want.
I dont get why everyone is into surprise. This the most INTJ-ish scene of me as an INTJ. Just. Don't. Give. Me. A. Surprise. I'd love anything but a surprise.
It's like cause it mixes Se (surprise, change, chaos) and Fe (warm communal/friendly surprise, human non-spoken communication), which are INTJ's inferior and blindspot functions, and which INTJ is very bad at
I absolutely loathe the attention that comes with birthdays 😤 I don't even want the congratulations and much less a surprise party! The person that would throw me one of those doesn't know me at all 🤬
As an INFJ I can tell you that technically you are not wrong. You had graduated and soon after started "contributing" to society and your community. "You're welcome" was somewhat of a subtle celebratory faux-pas on your part. But I can tell you, you are acknowledged, live on and prosper. -INFP
What ISFP hasn't purposely bought a wildly inapplicable greeting card to artfully repurpose as a hilarious joke card to accompany a comically impersonal gift to illustrate a significant level of camaraderie with a fellow ISFP?
Me every birthday as a INFP: over analysing how long it takes each of my friends and family to message me happy birthday (My friends did all forget one year which is kind of awful but also so typically INFP)
I love how the end of what INFJ says emphasizes his optimistic side by pointing the subtle difference that makes the depressing situation better than usual. This is pathetically funny and classic INFJ 😂.
@@solar0wind I was school president at my school,so I can handle attention. It's just than I don't like to be sorrounded by all those ppl in b-day just becuase someone says this is the way to celebrate my b-day.
How I felt this yr or like ENFP, something simple, but not cont planning. I'm INFP or INFJ. I have yet to take a true thorough test to know where I fit/stand.
I'm INTJ, two years ago party was disaster because... They come out of nowhere and I looked like a mess. Okay, celebration is fine (I'm celebrating because I one day closer to death tho), but no surprise. I might hate the surprise.
My mom is an INTJ, and we threw a surprise bday party once. She seemed to enjoy seeing all her friends and family, but when everyone left, she basically gave us the “I’m surprised you ding-dongs thought this would make me happy” line 🤣 EDIT: To anyone thinking that we were being mean by throwing a surprise party for someone who hates surprises, we were just kids at the time! We were still in the headspace of "If I would like a surprise party, than mommy would like one too". As adults, we understand why my mother wasn't pleased.
This makes no sense, how come you didn't know she hates surprises? This is very obvious for any INTJ, we are seen as grumpy because of things like that
Mario Bros Sorry, just saw this! Let me explain. We weren’t being malicious. We were just kids at the time. My 3 siblings and I were between the ages of 9 and 16, so we weren’t good at understanding personality traits (kids that age can still be in the mindset of “if this would make me happy, than they will be happy too”). Also, my mom does have some INFJ traits, so she is more chill/forgiving than a true INTJ. I think that’s why my dad probably thought she’d have fun after the initial shock wore off. Anyway, there were no more surprise parties. And we, as adults, have apologized for all the stress we caused her as oblivious, but well meaning children. We love her dearly 😊
As an INFP I can fully agree with the thanks you too response, it’s my natural response 😂. I got pulled over by a cop one night and when he was walking away he said drive safely now and I said thanks, you too and he just laughed at me… I’m pretty sure he also heard me say oh wait immediately after saying thanks you too 😂😂
INFP - accurate. I thought it would be about how people never know what to get us for our birthdays so we end up with some generic gift and feel depressed because people don’t “get” us
same, i'd rather do something i'd like to do, like eat pocky sticks and play league of legends all day, than anxiously go through a party with way too many people
i thought the INFP would be devasteted by the fact everyone forgot his birthday, because you know, it happened to me so many times ha ha i'm ok.. am i?
@@raynebow8072 that's bc they are. No to be mean but hardcore honest. I'm not certain if I'm INFP or INFJ as I relate equally to both, but I've met INFP ppl.
Infp here, That’s happened to me more than once. At this point it doesn’t surprise me. My own mother forgot my birthday and hers is 2 days before mine. Plus it makes me feel awkward when people sing to me. Nothing like “happy anniversary of being pushed out of a vagina!!!” Just appreciate me with what I provide your lives every other day of the year.
Am I the only INFJ who's too shy to make a birthday party and call her 'friends',, specially because they care if people get bored or what should they do first or watever...
Omg same. I am an infj and I stopped holding parties because of this. It's like I don't know what to do, it will just get awkward and people will get bored and I will start panicking. Ughh
No, definitely not. I tried that -- throwing a "big" party by over planning and making gift baskets -- once when I was young and literally only one person (out of 15) came. Learned my lesson that day, decided not to waste my time with prepping a 'party', unless 'party' equals going to dinner with family.
"This is really the best birthday ever" Wow, this is amazing because today is my birthday! Lol. Thanks for this video, Frank. It's a wonderful coincidence and a beautiful gift. ❤️
I was disappointed by the lack of depth for the INFP one this time. How does an INFP really feel on their birthday? Somewhere between the romanticized excitement of an ENFP and the perpetual existential crisis of an INFJ. And of course you'll probably spend most of the day writing a reflection of the past year of your life, feeling once again how the real lived year of say, 22, was somehow a letdown and you've now lost your chance forever to live this idealized version of 22, which doesn't even really exist. But you're an INFP and you can think about the concept of birthdays logically, but it can never change how you feel about them, which is that they are a day of both deep loss and great potential. Idk though that's just me 🤷🏼♀️
Finally someone understands! I usually get really depressed on my birthday for some reason. And other people's birthday's too. I think it's odd but I can't help the feeling than to be like that.
INTP walks into surprise party... Everyone: "SURPRISE!!!" INTP takes a second to try and uncover the meaning of the surprise, before giving up and checking the date on their phone. INTP: "That's TODAY?! Too bad I couldn't plan to avoid this..."
I always forget about my birthday also and i'm INTP. Once my grandma and grandpa travelled from Poland to Belgium for my birthday. I did return home and still did not realise it's my birthday. When i saw surprise party ia was happiest person on earth... But after like 10 minutes i started thinking that i'm getting older too fast
@@kaze217 about being rude i had recently a situation when worker at the bar forgot to open my bottle (it was a glass one) i did try to sound as kind as possible and told her she forgot to open it and asked if she could do that for me. After i left the place my mother told me that i sounded ultra rude and it did sound like i was ranting about that bottle lmao
@@kacperschmidtke5632 im an intp but tbh i dont think that its rude if i forget to open a bottle in a bar i wouldn't have any problem if someone said what you said. Your right but i guess people are very sensitive 💁
That is sooo true!! My friends tooks me for a walk, to find food one day.. it was about 3pm I was very hangry.. and I didn't wanted to spend to much time outside, knowing that I had a Nethack game paused at my friend's appartment for a LAN. They made me walk though the entire city, It took's like 2 hours to get just a snack, I was soo pissed off.. And when we came back to my friends appartment, as grumpy as I could.. after opening the door.. I saw confetti floating in front of me.. and I heared my friends yelling "HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!" at me.. tooks a few seconds to realised that a) it was my birthday, and that b) my friends were actually keeping me away till the cake was ready.. I felt so ashamed! (I got a mlp game cube, Zelda ocarina, and SoulCalibur 4, so they were totally forgiven!)
As an INTJ I must say, birthdays can be good, when you actually get something valuable. That's the moment when you can use the commercialization for yourself.
Me literally last week on my bday (INFJ): Haha I should be happy but another year has passed and I am one year older, closer to death, time waits for no man. When will I fulfill my purpose in life and become who I am meant to be? Every year feels shorter than the last Also me: haha cake yum :)
I'm like this in a regular day but I don't arrange things for my birthday thinking it's just like any other day. Now I realize that I'm stupid and it's because my f and t is balanced maybe. Idk
My sister is a INTJ but if this happened to her she would act happy whist dying inside because most people on our family are introverts.. By most I mean only 2 so about half of us not the majority though. 🙃
As a female INTJ-T: I'd probably do that: -Open the door; -See everyone; -Scream something like: "Everyone out. Guys, c'mon. You know. I don't like you, and you has probably forced to be here. Soooo"; -"But" *point to my only friends* "You, me, a lot of food, anime"
me as infp... only my fam remember my bday and I'll be like, "it's okay! I hate getting old anyway" but hours later "do my friends really forget my bday or they just dont care about me? :( well it's okay, I'm not that important anyway... ha.. ha.." when suddenly one friend of mine texted me a happy birthday me, who's easily touched by things like this: "oh my god!!! thank you, you remember!!! you really are my bestest friend!!! I love you!!! let's be together for a long time!!!"
I am also an INFJ. It helps when your birthday is also a holiday. I just focus on that so that I can muster some joy for it. It gets demished by my existantial dread but still doable that way.
@@sameerapatel8172 I am also the hostess for the event so I can be busy serving people instead of having to hear people talk about my age etc. Also works.
Me too! I love birthday parties, 'cause I love doing it for other people, but when it comes to me? I just pretend I don't even know what day is it... And let's not talk about how weird is to be the center of the attention while everyone sings "happy birthday to yoou" so loudly and excited while you're just like... Sorry, I don't care about my birthday, sorry... 😂😂😂
I'm INFJ but I related to INFP so much.... I've said 'you too' to so many things in the past. I think someone told me good luck in my exams and I said 'you too'... I think I've said it in response to 'thank you' before as well.
@@bananabreadloaf and what might the palace interior indicate? Perhaps that an INTP has developed a time machine and traveled back 2-3 centuries, but how did their mom manage to reach them on the phone? This rabbit hole might be endless!
Thats me. I had on Saturday this year and because i dont have many friends i reminded them that my birthday was on Saturday. Only two from five people congratulated me :')
The ISTP (my husband) was SO accurate. He complains so much when his mom says Happy Birthday on Facebook, alerting everyone to it's existence, and diverting unnecessary attention towards him, and socially obligating him to feign sincere thanks to people he'd rather forget exist.
When I saw the title, as an INFJ I thought “he’s going to mention the fact we reflect so much on our past years and how we are just going towards our inevitable death.” I feel a slither of accomplishment knowing that was the case.
ISTP and at work I got wished a happy birthday by two people quietly. They otherwise kept it quiet. Best birthday present ever. In school, I was so happy my birthday fell during summer vacation.
I'm an ISTP I want my immediate family to know, because it's an awkward conversation to have if they don't and I want to milk the day. But I'd hate lots of people outside of that coming over to say happy birthday, I'd be happy with it if I didn't have to respond. Also then if they get you something you have to remember to get them something and, oh mai, the pressure.
The INTP is so on the spot. I never really cared about my bday even when I was a kid. Infact one time I didn't even realize it was my bday the next day until my sister reminded me.
INFJ here. I hate my birthday. Have always hated my birthday. Best thing that happened was I had a son on my birthday now everyone forgets it is my birthday and we just celebrate him. It is awesome
Same! I don’t tell anyone and hate a big “to do” revolving around me - it’s like “why should we celebrate the day I was brought into the world by my mother? I didn’t do anything!” It’s kind of a relief when it’s the day after.
It's odd, I used to LUV my b-day being celebrated. As I get older, I just want to be w my fam to do something very simple &/or have happy b-day told to me, which is pretty much it. But IDK if I'm INFP or INFJ for certain yet.
Loved the ENFP ongoing birthday saga! Every year I try to come up with something unique and adventurous to do for my birthday.... really it’s just an excuse to be as weird and fun as possible 😁🥳
Throwing a party for an INTJ is possible if: 1. We're involved in the planning. We need heads up to mentally prepare for extended social interaction. 2. It doesn't happen in our home. We need to be able to leave. 3. It is not used as a time for family+friends experimentation. Sometimes, family and friends need to stay separate. 4. People involved all understand that INTJs are relatively lowkey individuals. This means that we won't necessarily have a party worthy of an ENFP. This does not mean that we have low self esteem, have no friends, are shy, have social anxiety, whatever... Stop trying to FIX us. What might be uneventful to you might still be taxing on our energy reserves. If you get bored, please, feel free to leave.
Buddy, I am an ENFP and parties at my place exhaust me too. I like to be able to leave as well! There are always those people who just don't take a hint when I'm tired and want to go to bed!
my birthday celebration is lunch with friends and one or two family members I'm good with, the rest of the family and acquaintances can send messages, I go back home and blast classical music while I'm high. Good stuff.
The first one is really spot on. I'd like a heads up if I have to interact to people thank you very much, or else I'm just gonna be uncomfortable and just shut down along the way
@@yelitzagalan5670 yet still we want it to be like we have imagined it - like I shouldn't have to explain to my friends why going to an abandoned hobuse would be the best thing ever xd It's also the reason why I do most of the things alone - less explaining 😁
INFJ confirmed. I love having a birthday. But when it's over, yeah. Back to reflecting on how much I didn't accomplish. The older I get the worse it feels.
Yes, INTJ spot on! I hate surprises. Don't put me on the spot like that. I wouldn't know how to react. It'll stress me out more than ever and I just want to enjoy my birthday holed up in my room catching up on hobbies or something.
Yeah, I might have plans, going behind my back isn't great. If I trust friends and want something they should say hey we are going to throw you a party and that's all you need to know. That actually sounds fun. No freak out, but good friends, and a fun mystery.
@@sketchyAnalogies yeah, I'm fine as long as I know time and date. I actually prefer celebrations to not be on my precise birthday. I need heads up more than anything so I can mentally prepare to socialize.

Oh god I always feel like that (the first half). Or, on the other side of the spectrum, when my grandma died, I wanted to talk about it and feel the warmth of my friends being there for me, but I felt like saying that would be selfish and attention seeking, so I'd hope that a teacher asks how my winter break was, so I could talk about it

lmfao i'm jewish myself and for my 26th birthday my friends (who are also jewish) gave me a 'happy quinceañera' card 😭
Me every birthday as a INFP: over analysing how long it takes each of my friends and family to message me happy birthday
(My friends did all forget one year which is kind of awful but also so typically INFP)
I love how the end of what INFJ says emphasizes his optimistic side by pointing the subtle difference that makes the depressing situation better than usual. This is pathetically funny and classic INFJ 😂.
I'm an INFJ too and I relate so much . 😅🥲
Am I the only person who doesn't like to throw parties for my birthday? Like I just want to be on my own on this day.
Yeah I’m an ENTP and I hate birthdays... I also hate Christmas but that’s totally different
exactly what i did this birthday and let me tell you, i thoroughly enjoyed it

Maybe your self esteem is too low to handle the attention?
@@solar0wind I was school president at my school,so I can handle attention. It's just than I don't like to be sorrounded by all those ppl in b-day just becuase someone says this is the way to celebrate my b-day.
*ntj - don't surprise me. Don't celebrate, but I'm accepting gifts 😂
Yesssss
My mom is an INTJ, and we threw a surprise bday party once. She seemed to enjoy seeing all her friends and family, but when everyone left, she basically gave us the “I’m surprised you ding-dongs thought this would make me happy” line 🤣
EDIT: To anyone thinking that we were being mean by throwing a surprise party for someone who hates surprises, we were just kids at the time! We were still in the headspace of "If I would like a surprise party, than mommy would like one too". As adults, we understand why my mother wasn't pleased.
This makes no sense, how come you didn't know she hates surprises? This is very obvious for any INTJ, we are seen as grumpy because of things like that
LMAO
I love your mom. I have said the same thing.
We love her dearly 😊
my family once gave me a surprise birthday party... I was so pissed LOL
As an INFP I can fully agree with the thanks you too response, it’s my natural response 😂. I got pulled over by a cop one night and when he was walking away he said drive safely now and I said thanks, you too and he just laughed at me… I’m pretty sure he also heard me say oh wait immediately after saying thanks you too 😂😂
Cops drive too.
😂👌🏻
INFP - accurate. I thought it would be about how people never know what to get us for our birthdays so we end up with some generic gift and feel depressed because people don’t “get” us
INTJ: i really hate surprise partys like if i get to have my own birthday party why i cant organize it myself??
Yet another reason why I don't tell ppl my birth date nor ever celebrate it

As an INTJ my birthday parties are organized by myself, and get invited the people only who I like. All the 5.
i thought the INFP would be devasteted by the fact everyone forgot his birthday, because you know, it happened to me so many times

Ughh
Its why i just invite over a few close friends and have some drinks. Its pretty much what id do on any other night drinking with friends. Its save :)
Yeah, it's usually just a small family thing for me
yes
No, definitely not. I tried that -- throwing a "big" party by over planning and making gift baskets -- once when I was young and literally only one person (out of 15) came.
Learned my lesson that day, decided not to waste my time with prepping a 'party', unless 'party' equals going to dinner with family.
“Thanks, you too” is an everyday occurrence for me. Not just my birthday lol. INFP

As an ENFP I thank you for giving me a full plan for my upcoming birthday 😄
Idk though that's just me 🤷🏼♀️
OMG you described it perfectly
This! Oh! I thought something's amiss when I can relate more to the INFJ xD oohh...
Finally someone understands!
I usually get really depressed on my birthday for some reason. And other people's birthday's too. I think it's odd but I can't help the feeling than to be like that.
This is screamingly accurate
oh Jesús, you just read me
#INFP would be more like:
: jeez, I don't wanna get all that awkward greetings from everybody today
: jeez, nobody remembers I exist

Everyone gets mad at me because I don't wanna celebrate 😂

INTP walks into surprise party...
Everyone: "SURPRISE!!!"
INTP takes a second to try and uncover the meaning of the surprise, before giving up and checking the date on their phone.
(thinking about that happening to me...)

Couldn't be more correct.
Me literally last week on my bday (INFJ): Haha I should be happy but another year has passed and I am one year older, closer to death, time waits for no man. When will I fulfill my purpose in life and become who I am meant to be? Every year feels shorter than the last
Also me: haha cake yum :)
me last week too!

I think only INTJ-A will react like that. INTJ-T open the door, see their friends, and close it immediately.
Yes
Female INTJ-T here HAHAHAHAHA
Guess I know which type I am. Though my friends know me well enough to know I would just leave if they tried something like this.
My sister is a INTJ but if this happened to her she would act happy whist dying inside because most people on our family are introverts..
By most I mean only 2 so about half of us not the majority though. 🙃
As a female INTJ-T: I'd probably do that:
-Open the door;
-See everyone;
-Scream something like: "Everyone out. Guys, c'mon. You know. I don't like you, and you has probably forced to be here. Soooo";
-"But" *point to my only friends* "You, me, a lot of food, anime"
The ENFP birthday adventure actually sounds amazing to me-as long as I’m doing it with a small group of really closes friends.

Pepsi used to send an animated song on your birthday. I always looked forward to that email.
When I saw the title, as an INFJ I thought “he’s going to mention the fact we reflect so much on our past years and how we are just going towards our inevitable death.”
I feel a slither of accomplishment knowing that was the case.
As an ISTP, my colleagues found out my birthday once.
I quit within the month.
ISTP and at work I got wished a happy birthday by two people quietly. They otherwise kept it quiet. Best birthday present ever. In school, I was so happy my birthday fell during summer vacation.
My friend is an istp, and once i wrote on the class group chat "happy birthday", and he said to me in private "why the f**k you did that"??
I'm an ISTP I want my immediate family to know, because it's an awkward conversation to have if they don't and I want to milk the day. But I'd hate lots of people outside of that coming over to say happy birthday, I'd be happy with it if I didn't have to respond. Also then if they get you something you have to remember to get them something and, oh mai, the pressure.

Same! I don’t tell anyone and hate a big “to do” revolving around me - it’s like “why should we celebrate the day I was brought into the world by my mother? I didn’t do anything!” It’s kind of a relief when it’s the day after.
Brilliant.
Throwing a party for an INTJ is possible if:
I am an INTJ and most of the reunions I liked the most were in my own house. But I had full control over it. That is a big difference.
my birthday celebration is lunch with friends and one or two family members I'm good with, the rest of the family and acquaintances can send messages, I go back home and blast classical music while I'm high. Good stuff.
I need to show this to my extroverted husband.
The first one is really spot on. I'd like a heads up if I have to interact to people thank you very much, or else I'm just gonna be uncomfortable and just shut down along the way
