Tracks like Vault -Voyager - No one knows - Submarine - Masochist - distress signal - Spiral - Trail of sevens - Kingston Vampires - 8ball and other should be on an album of their own. They are songs like no other!
The track that never dies. That drop at 1.48..... Please bring out a new album in 2014 Pendulum. You don't have to be live - just go back to the three of you on your decks. xx
This is the song that started their popularity and got them some recognition back in 2003. They were originally under DJ Fresh's record label Break-beat Kaos.
Truly the second wave of absolutely sick D&B when crews started pushing new bountries with the intregration of increbible new music workstations and programming out there like never before.
Takes me back to a time when i didnt give a f*@# about nothing but music- to this day i still take moment, crank this, releases all the negativity = then give my kids the same puzzled stare they're giving me & say: you wernt fortunate enough to be there when that dropped. Be thankful your here now to hear that 😜
I've spent the last 17 years of my life learning how to make "hold your colour" style tracks. I've held out from releasing anything falling short of the mark and can gladly say, i've been making staggering progress in the last half year. Feels like i'm getting close to the point of singularity now. So with that being said, there will be a revival mark my words.
@@jganaut soundcloud.com/c-d-j-burton/erratas This is my latest workings.. It's just the first half as I never finish them, because by the time i'm half way through i've learned so much more I want to start a fresh. It's a never ending cycle. You gotta bare with the volume for the first 30 seconds too as it doesn't start at the intended volume. (basically resist the urge to turn it up, as when it comes it it will sound a bit too high and you'll be immediately be turning it down again) The other thing to consider is that soundcloud compresses you tracks the way it seems fit and so (irrespective of whether it's something i'm doing wrong or not, I can guarantee you from the person that made it, souncloud has done a horrible job. and that the 70Mb wav file that went it to it sounds twice as good (in my opinion). The SC version has a harshness about it and the bass sounded a bit too muddy and "un-tame" at the beginning. Havind said all That the while thing could sound shit on your speakers, as that's another issue altogether. As i've never officially released anything in the 17 years i've been doing it, I tend to recycle a lot, and so what you hear despite being started about 7 years ago - has reall been a manifestation of everything i've been doing over the last 17 years. You could say it took me 17 years to make rather than the 3-4 solid years worth actually sat at the PC working on it per se. I'm not really happy with the first sound mid-base sound that comes in but happy with the rest of it.
@@jganaut So from doing a quick test on my laptop speakers. My track sounds worse than it does on my headphones and "Vault" sounds a bit better than it does on my headphones. I have reason to believe my headphones lack in the cymbal and high hat range and suspect that the lead synth and hi-hats might sound bad on other peoples speakers.
Another planet was legit THE track that introduced me to electronic music in general. I guess that's why after cycling through countless sub genres DnB is still my home!
21 people ain't got a clue about the real dnb before everyone sold out including pendulum n made everything go to shit for 5 years , can't beat these classics , this was when dnb was at its best
Can't believe this track is 20 years old
100% early 2000's dnb is being called "golden era' feel old yet? lol

@@willbeacon4789 thats what I'm saying! damn and this comment is only 1 month old, good to see this song getting love
Also Metropolis by Adam F dude
Still fully holds its weight in 2020!! It goes hard!!
proper banger
Pendulums tracks always have drums which could hold the energy of a track by themselves
This tune is one of the reasons i began to love Drum&Bass at the age of about 11, still to this day it gives me that same feeling.
Its so freaking unique. Its like Rob said, he strives to create apocalyptic music, and he delivers so well
Same as me!!!!
Anyone here in 2023? This never fails to give me that adrenaline kick.
Is 2024 fine?😋
2024 🎉
24!
2024
Nearly 2025 😂
so the first song from pendulum.. damn it still sounds so good even after 17 years.
DnB is timeless
Truer words never been spoken on the subject. Much respect for seeing it too.

Now this comment aged well
This is one of the greatest DnB groups I have ever heard
too bad they didnt make dnb music anymore
R.I.P Pendulum
They came back lol
@@MertCalkan yeah but now they just make generic ukf-core stuff
From :20 to about :38 is so nostalgia inducing, it's like the acid is kicking in
I remember when this one dropped. Still hits MEGA hard to this day. The way they simulate that tempo change. Blows my mind every single time.
This song opened my way to Pendulum and to DnB. Ill never have enough of it =)
from this to arch angel, pendulum have never missed. not one fucking time.
The track that never dies. That drop at 1.48..... Please bring out a new album in 2014 Pendulum. You don't have to be live - just go back to the three of you on your decks. xx
This song hurts to hear. It takes me back to a time where life was better and it only lasts 5 minutes.
R.I.P. Pendulum
May your music live on forever.
Peace :)

Valt esse hip fez um tremendo sucesso aqui no Brasil em todas as baladas Drum and Bass do estado de são Paulo
this is still one of my fave d&b tracks in my vinyl. such a sexy tune. never gets old x
I really miss that "chopper" percussion in modern DNB! This is a heavy hitter!
same man
the main ingredient for proper roller
and 2 - 3 years back, producers started to add again the chopper.... including myself xd
@@VicJOfficial actual drum breaks? what the fuck is the chopper

In 2022 rocking this in Los Angeles....back when released rocking it in Amsterdam. Thx for uploading
13 years later and better than the pop garbage we get now by farrrrrr

wish the boys put 'knife party' to rest and returned to basics. this track is genre defining and ahead of its time.
Where it all began, for me this is the tune that sunk its hooks deep in my soul
all time favourite dnb song ever!
Just absolutely timeless. That intro, goosebumps… Simon DJ Getaway

Evelyn Kharrat Possibly my fav DnB song of all time , make me tingle and fizz then explode
Evelyn Kharrat Track, not song. You don't hear anybody singing in here.

If gta 6 gets a dnb station i pray they add this track.
Ima have to agree with The Prototypes here, that drop was insane

It sucks that people these days forget that pendulum weren't just a rock type band. Before that there was this banger
Hopefully, so we all can sit back and relax to the beautifull tones of Pendulum.
