Oh Linda that comment from Blonde Jam had me spitting out my Monday morning coffee and choke chuckling for a couple of minutes.
I purchased a small vacation condo here on Vancouver Island which my husband and I visited every chance we got before we actually retired and bought a house out here. One morning I was going to the central mailbox area to pick up my mail, newspaper, and my neighbour who lived below our suite was also there, and asked me why I felt it was necessary to put make up on everyday? Luckily, I was on my A game that day, and said "because I can't look as pretty as you without a little help". I thought she was going to drop dead on the spot. lol The moral of the story is, if nasty people come at you, kill them with kindness. I don't think she ever spoke to me again other than in passing to say Hi.

My wife and I made our reservations for a Lifestyle visit, and at that time they asked us what kinds of things we were interested in seeing. I told them we just want to get a feel for the neighborhoods, and squares, and I think we can do that ourselves. They said ok, and we didn't hear from The Villages at all. Absolutely no pressure. That being said, The Villages personnel don't really need to do anything. People are buying places left and right without any sales effort at all.
Linda, you are beautiful without all that makeup. I’m 67 and I don’t wear makeup. I believe it keeps you looking younger. What you do is perfect😉My hubby and I watch all your videos and love them. You are both very down to earth and we love that😍

From long island NY, just signed contract in April 2024. Having new home built in Eastport. For the gas stove question. Our new home is gas. Also our visit was great, absolutely no pressure to buy. But now that we have each process is explained very well. From sales, designer, closing staff everyone is so happy to help & answer all questions & if they don't know the answer They will direct you to someone who does.

We'd be there in a heartbeat if we could afford it. We did a lifestyle visit in 2022 and absolutely loved it. No pressure at all. It was our choice to see properties. Unfortunately, the housing market has priced us right out of living there. I still love watching the two of you though. I live vicariously thru your video's!

I don't personally know Jerry and Linda but I like them and really enjoy this channel. I am a 55 year old female over-the-road truck driver not planning to ever move to Florida but I do find it interesting.

I haven’t worn makeup in years! I did wear makeup for my son’s wedding and couldn’t wait to wash it off that night! 😂 My makeup now is moisturizer with spf 50.
The makeover was fun but I wouldn’t wear that much makeup every day either! Now, I have always wanted to have my colors done - I think that does make a big difference! Your plane ride looks like it was great fun and a special memory for sure. Informative show this week as usual!

Here’s another downside to keeping too much and to getting rid of too much.
I ended up moving back to Maryland to help my daughter with her kids during Covid. She works and needed me to stay home with my grands.
I sold my Florida home and put so many things in storage.
Here are the negatives:
1. Storage is expensive
2. I can never find anything
3. When I need/want anything it’s usually in storage and I end up buying another “whatever” that I am looking for.
4. I decided that I needed a storage unit in Maryland too.
5. I’m a mess!
That was so cool, flying to the Sox game and picking up your son and grandson! That’s a great friend! 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

Hi Jerry and Linda. Just watched your Monday (March 20) show and have to make a correction. Jerry was talking about someone getting a ticket for crossing a white line in a golf car. This is false. I got this information directly from Capt. Siemers, the head of The Villages Sumter County Sheriff's Office, last Thursday. He heard the story and went directly to the officer who issued the ticket. The woman was not truthful in her posting. The woman was ticketed because she attempted to pass a golf car which was going the speed limit of 20 mph. The passing golf car was going approximately 28 mph, so she was speeding. In addition, when she attempted to pass, she came out in front of a car, which had to slam on its brakes to avoid hitting her. So speeding and reckless driving were what she was ticketed for. She made up the part about being ticketed for going over a white line. Love your show. Never miss an episode. Keep up the good work.

Linda, I prefer the ‘before’ Linda. I’m not into heavy makeup and find natural looks to be the most authentic. Looking forward to living out my natural days in the Villages once my kids are off at college!

You are so right about building enough infrastructure as TV grows. Linda mentioned going to SS area for shopping. One of the reasons we choose to buy/live north of 466 was because of the ease of going shopping or eating out using our golf cart. We can be in Brownwood in thirty minutes by GC. I like the bag for trash, we came from two large containers mandatory which took up space in the garage because it was an HOA violation to keep out front or on the side.
When we did our lifestyle visit last year our agent took us to the house and made arrangements to show a few houses the next day - I think we spent 2-3 hrs with him then didn't see him again until the day we left. We did talk with a relocation expert there and she assisted us with finding a realtor in our area. Hopefully not much longer and we'll be there.
Boozy bingo? Our residents would love it! We play "singo" where we play snippets of songs, but with candy bars as prizes. 😂😂

Totally agree about TV needing more shopping. Especially for us down south. Hopefully once Eastport is up and running it will change. It's like a day outing to drive up to Spanish Springs to hit all the stores you need only to get home and notice your forgot one thing. We learned that lesson so we make sure we make a list of everything we need. Very cool police golf cart. Much needed. There are folks out there that juiced up their MPH on their carts to 25-30 MPH which is VERY dangerous. I had one encounter with a guy not stopping under a tunnel coming from a "road closed" area and he was flying. Passed all 4 golf carts in front of me at a high rate of speed and I thought for sure he was going to tip over. Not cool. So be careful out there everyone! Great show as usual. 👍

I live in the Village of De Luna and the houses in my neighborhood came with gas tankless water heater and there is a hook up for a gas dryer. No gas furnace, but that's OK in our mild climate as using heat pump is economical here.
I started watching your videos a few weeks ago and I absolutely enjoy them. You three are fun to watch and listen to. I'm coming for a lifestyle visit the week of July 4. Maybe I'll get to meet y'all in person. Have a wonderful week.

It was fun to be featured on the shoutouts. I didn't mind getting my head chopped off. We love that picture of us. We were in Germany in the town of Cochem along the Mosel River. You can kind of see the castle behind us. Our oldest daughter spent a semester there to complete her German studies.

I watched the make over video - pretty glamourous and perfect for an evening out - but I wish she would have done a more casual look for day to day. About the vegetable garden, the sticking point may be the raised garden part vs planting straight in the ground. I don't have to worry about that because I can only grow silk plants :)

Just hilarious about $10 buying some catsup!! About downsizing...I moved just across town, not a major move and downsized way too much, thinking it would be easier. I also have a few regrets. Hopefully, people will follow your advice on that. Such a great opportunity for you, your son and grandson to go to spring training! What a blast!!

Cute little shops would be nice
They don't have to pressure because they know the homes will sell. No problem selling out. We loved our agent (many, many years ago) and the tour she gave us, going from home to home was instructive. Don't skip it and ASK LOTS OF QUESTIONS and take notes.
It is true, no pressure at all. I took a Lifestyle and my agent sort of disappeared. I had to call her to appear LOL. On your First Lifestyle, the agent wants you enjoy the experience as if you were living there. If you decide to buy a house then your 2nd trip the agent will be with all the way until the end. My agent was Great and we became close friends.

Well, there's the old joke about The Villagers having Disney access by golf cart down in Orlando. Ha. I had large nice looking pots of vegetables on the patio and up against the attached shed. Grew tomato, lettuce, garlic, and even a pot of ginger (we sold the home before the ginger got mature but it was on the way to being full-sized). No complaints about the veggies as they were all in pots. We used to live in Silver Lake Village.
We live in the Springdale area and we have a gas stove. And I love cooking with gas.

The Brown Family- it's not a Timeshare truly no pressure and you don't have to listen to anything. Just come and enjoy! It's fabulous! We are going in June! Can't wait we love it! Come and enjoy!

Hi Jerry and Linda, I`m enjoying today`s show…just had to stop quickly and comment on something. You were talking about bringing things with you to TV when you move and then, if you decide you don`t want them after all, set them out on the curb and surely one of your neighbor`s would love to have it. As strict as TV is with what can and can`t be don on a property(which it seems comes up every week from viewer questions), I am surprised that TV would allow you to „clutter“ the curb with stuff you want to get rid of. I`ve seen it done here at our apartment in Switzerland, but luckily it happens rarely, as I honestly don`t want to start seeing, daily, people`s junk being disposed of on the curb instead of them making the effort to take it to the flea market.
