@Daniel McBride yeah. It’s implying they have a good relationship and she’s been in detention quite a bit so they swap lunches . “Hello Hanna, what do you have for me today?” That was so friendly
It's funny some people find Anna a rotten teen at the beginning of the film but her situation is actually real and sympathetic. She's not a villain or brat, people are not getting to the root of the problem.
And her mom now knows how it feels like when she is in her daughter’s body. She had to go back to high school as her daughter and see how things have changed
Not to mention anyone would get beyond annoyed that their younger sibling is invading their personal space with zero consequences. Yeah Anna’s perspective changes when she finds out how much he looks up to her but Tess is seriously dropping the ball as a parent for letting that kind of favoritism happen
This movie is a prime example of a remake done right! Gosh I miss the days of my youth. Throwing this on on a Friday afternoon and jamming out to that house of blues number at the end. This movie is one of Lohan's best imo, such a talent.
Especially experiencing teachers like the teacher here. I found out the reason he gave me a hard times because he's peophiles and probably pissed I wasn't into him.
I was 7 when this movie came out and I never found her rude. She's bullied so much and no one cares, and punished so much when she didn't even do anything wrong. You don't even have to have ever been a teenager to understand her behavior.
He has a Chip on his shoulder since he had a crush on her(Anna’s Mother), in HS & never made a move & is a Bitter sack of beans bout it thus taking it out on Anna.
🤨 I'm more surprised the school finally called about her failing English because I'm pretty sure the asshole teacher has been giving her failing/maybe mediocre grades on a daily basis.
Me too! Because in Mean Girls her character was an exaggerated perfectly innocent Mary Sue, while her character here is more like a real teenager with flaws and genuine issues.
@@michelleh.5225I mean I still kinda understand why Cady is like that! She has spent most of her childhood being homeschooled, and has never been socially active. She was very inexperienced, but was slowly becoming what wrong the more she got involved with the popular girls
I think I was 20 or 21 when this movie came out, so I was beyond identifying with high school, but I always felt for Anna. I know it's considered popular and funny to smirk and roll one's eyes at teens at the things they get upset about, but life really is hard when you're that age. Sure, you don't have to worry about bills, inflation, home prices, etc., but still, life can be hard to navigate when you're a teen.

Lindsay really channeled her inner Avril Lavigne in this film and I love it 🤟🏼🎸🥁 still the best and only Freaky Friday film
she said she was inspired by her for this character
@codezero7981 OMG I did NOT know that! No WONDER why they made her have brown hair. Because 2003 was the time that avril’s hair was still like that!

I read 1984 and chose to pause Anna’s essay. From the little cut I can see of it, she is definitely intelligent like her mother.
