Meddlesome Beverly Hills high school student Cher gets more than she bargained for when she gives a fashion-challenged student a makeover.
I love Cher, she is spoiled, but she doesn’t abuse it and she actually cares about her health and future
and others...
@@steflondon88 Kind of. She didn’t have any malice in her, but as the film name suggests she was just “clueless”.
Ty
She's actually pretty sweet. She was willing to help.
Haha that’s cute indeed😂
"You divorce wives, not children!" If that wasn't an amazing father, idk who is. Talk about a sense of morality and care. I always really appreciate him for that line.
And the fact that josh isnt even his own biological kid which makes it cooler
@@ma_ky Exactly!! I think it's such an important part of his character. That he wouldn't just disappear from Josh's life and sever a parental bond. He's a great parent role model.
it's exactly why eventho cher is coddled and "clueless" she's not a piece of shit.
you shouldn’t appreciate him for that he didn’t write the script he was literally paid thousands of dollars for saying that
@@addie3147 Way to miss the point of it being an amazing fatherly portrayal and representation. Doesnt matter if it's on screen or real life. I appreciate how good a fatherly role model he is. Really important to see.
I'm still waiting for an app like Cher's closet.
A tiktoker is in the making of one, he included a thing that generates an outfit, I wish I could tell you if he has finished it or not, but I don’t have tiktok.

Clueless is one of those few movies in which the rich protagonist isn't a bully.

💀💀💀💀
Dude😨
🤯
Whaaat, I didn't know this, going to go back and watch now!
Oh my gosh, she is too!!!!!
I never saw her
I actually understood what Cher was trying to say hahaha. She basically said that if the Government rearrange the resources they can welcome the immigrants
"The more the merrier"
yes she did make a valid point and you need to listen to understand her pov
I mean, it’s still pretty basic. You can’t just turn a country into an economic dictatorship and force the populace to shift to producing bare necessities just to accommodate newcomers.
They are not newcomers, that are people trying to survive in a poor country with no opportunities. I’m sure they don’t want to come and live their whole life. Is a matter of luck were we are born, we need more compassion
@@Daniela-zs1ij Compassion gets exploited. It’s best to reserve compassion for the people you know, and to refrain from manipulating compassion out of other people.
“Keep watching on Netflix” made my blood boil. You take away every good show and movie, but you still have trash like the kissing booth on there? Just awful.

@@rotyler2177 hahaha haven’t seen that one. But i will def not now.
Can someone tell me what's the title of her movie where she played two roles? A nerdy One and a model. I can't find it on her wiki
classic movie that still stands the test of time. it will never get old and can be rewatched many times
So true.
That's because it was based on a classic! :) It's a 90's adaptation of Jane Austen's 1815 novel "Emma".
@@catarinaf3261 Yes, but it's a classic on it's own merits
One of my favourites
I think the reason Cher's dad never got rid of Josh was because he wanted Josh in Cher's orbit because he thought the two would make a good match, that's why I think he was pleased when Josh went after Cher to go to that party. I also like this theory because it shows how similar Cher and her father are. The daughter spent the whole movie playing match maker and the father was playing match maker the whole time too.
You're right! I also think Cher became an awesome lawyer just like her dad!
That sounds nice, but no Josh played the ex step brother to fit the script since it's adapted from Jane Austen's Emma. Josh is the novel's Mr. Knightley.
@@Peechiness What are the differences between the novel and the movie?
thats messed up
Funny fact! Cher married Sunny Bono at the age of 16 and he was in his late 30s
i so love her voice and the way her mouth moves when she talks
It's so cool how closely similar your name is to Cher Horowitz!
I think living as a teenager during 90's look so amazing. ❤
It was ok.
It was the best of times.
@@theseattlegreen1871 yeah i think theres no such thing called dress code during those days but the people back looks like fashionista. Kinda miss L.A tho.
Yeah but then you’d be in your 40s now
@@user-qe9jl4xw4u yeah sad time is so fast but i do still want to experience living in 90's era as a teenager.
Whoever came up with the idea to do this deserves a raise because it's such a good advertising tactic. It is cruel of Netflix to leave the video up when the movie has left the library though.
That "customize your own clothes on a tablet and your wardrobe will make it for you" technology has been in soo many movies and cartoons but is yet to be made even though its 2021
And it’s almost 2025!
I always thought this opening was one of the best in film. Just pure bliss..what a way to introduce these iconic ppl to the masses.
"You divorce wives not children" that's kinda sweet
"I totally paused" in that calm ass voice gets me every time
😅!
This movie is actually insanely brilliant. There's so much stuff you miss at first and then catch on to later. Like the maid hiding behind a door when Cher's arguing with her dad about the orange juice in the kitchen, and you just see her pinafore and apron sticking out. And the delayed, off-camera crash into some bikes or garbage cans or something after Cher pushes a dude off her. Shakespeare references. The girl who appears to be using a marker on her lips, another with a bandage on her nose in reference to the popularity of nose jobs in California. Love this movie!
It's loosely based on Emma, the Austen novel
"Can't find my Cranberries CD!" 😆 love them
😅🎶🎶!!
I love how literally every line is iconic af.
I just love that Alicia Silverstone is in every.single.scene of this movie and it works and we don’t tire of her.
Right? She is so friggin' awesome and hilarious!
“Don’t tell me those brain-dead lowlifes have been calling again.”
“They are your parents.”
😅!
Despite the old school lingo and way of how teens talked back then, you can see how the mannerism and dialogue are still timeless! The scriptwriter did an amazing job with this movie and still hold up to this day! Everything is so quotable and super accurate on teen dynamic; they really capture that dramatisation of everything about life
That nine inch nail line has aged so perfectly
This probably one of the few films from this genre where the black character is not just a token.
Yes, I like it too, I'm not even black. The casting seemed always so clichéd. But thankfully not in this movie.
She's my friend because we both know what it's like to have ppl jealous of us....
That's like the best way to find a bff
I need one lol or maybe I hv one lol Jesus is my best friend❤!
Paris and Nicole bond was because of this 😂
5:01 Cher's voice is so satisfying I keep replaying that part
Cher is such a good daughter 🥺
"I don't have a license, but I need something to learn on." LMAO 😂
Don't laugh, but that's the stupid world we live in. She's actually right. How does one learn? From practice, but the institutes want you to take classes, fill their pockets, so you get this so called license/certificate. Well, some just want to learn by themselves. If they cause an accident, they'll take the responsibility.

One thing that I absolutely love about clueless is the outfits! 👗
This movie aged like fine wine. Classic 90s teen comedy.
No one going to mention that Cher got 98 in Geometry.
That’s impressive

The fashion! The soundtrack! The dialogue! Iconic!
I love Alicia Silverstone! Clueless is so good. 😍

@@aishatayomidela as her father said, you can divorce the wife but never the children
HAHA
I don’t know. It’s awkward
I mean they are not related by blood.
There’s celebrities that are married that are related by blood. Meghan and Harry are seventeenth cousins, and share an ancestor. To me that’s more weird but okay because it’s a distant ancestor.
Clueless, Cruel Intentions and The Craft all really captured the 90's teen vibe brilliantly.
really think about it......Cher's argument was genius~
I love this movie so much.. Although Cher is spoiled kind of daughter but she has a heart of gold.. She cares for others❤️
Yea she is is actually kind and doesn’t bully people that’s why her character is so likeable 😊
"It does not say RSVP on the Statue of Liberty!" An epic line.
"And quit the suicide atempts, please"
Said teacher, CASUALLY, grabing student out of the window
"Ugh! As if!" The most iconic line in the whole movie
The famous line
"Oh AS IF" qq
It was this year I learned that Clueless is a version of Emma by Jane Austen in a modern setting
Reading this and wow, I totally see the similarities between the characters and plot
and to this day, it's the best Jane Austen book adaptaion ever made
Lol I'm actually writing an essay on this
I started reading it a few weeks ago and all I can imagine is Cher, Tai and Josh talking in old-fashioned English 😂
I LOVE HER HAIRRR
0:14 The dream team 💛🖤❤️ within the first minute of the film. The Clueless series really fleshed this trio out💗. Iconic 90s.
“Shopping with dr suess” 😭😭 that hat def gave green eggs ham vibes!

An iconic film 👏.
as a European kid in the 90s, America was producing the greatest cultural propaganda. It was mind-blowing to think any kid could live like Cher, even Kevin in Home Alone lived in a literal mansion 😂
I love this movie. It is one of my favorites. It never gets old for me…. ❤️

Dione’s voice tho.
When I was younger I watched this movie countless times and I don’t know why but I always loved the way she was eating the asparagus 😂😂
I’ve watched this movie many many times since I was a teenager but only now i realized at 1:40 their maid is hiding behind the door LOL
Such a cool teacher. He gets his students on their level without seeming like he’s trying
so this is what Dr Sturgis did before becoming a professor 😂
😭😭
7:31 It's an irony that her articulation during the class debate is kindergaten level, but in other parts of the movie her vocabulary is very sophisticated.
What is the point of paying when netflix is not stable and takes away the shows? I remember that it was on netflix, so I decided to watch it and suddenly it was gone.
This is in my top 3 favorite films and I ONLY NOW noticed Lucy hiding behind the door @1:38 🤯🤯🤯

josh and cher are so cute I wish people like them more like they are even related at all her dad and his mom aren't together anymore so
why does her age matter
@@fatoumatacisse3796 It doesn’t matter if they aren’t related anymore. That’s like a daughter dating their mothers ex boyfriend. If someone has taken the role as a brother in the past then it’s weird as hell to date them.
4:55 I quote this all the time when I can't answer a question.
If u listen to her she actually did have a good analogy to it.
cher's jeep was so iconic. the original white jeep wrangler girl!
"I have a 45 and a shovel. I doubt anyone will miss you." LOL! 🤣
2:57 2000s was indeed a year of fashion man😅🤣🤣🤣
This film was set in the 90s.
I knew this was 1995. There is a huge difference between 1994 and 1995. Those songs from No Doubt and the super baggie clothes and styles reminded me of college first year.
While this great movie has aged staggeringly well, I'm always a little sad that what was once the most memorable gag in it, the dinner table cellphones, is no longer a joke.
That joke was prophetic, for sure.
They were both so beautiful and natural, no plastic of any kind!
This is the only time I noticed the maid was hiding in the kitchen lol at 1:29 hahaha
I rlly wish this was on Netflix
It was on Netflix ,but the contract ended and it’s on hbo now
