we came to edinburg 50 years ago. it was home for 20 years. it sure didn't look like this back then. 281 ran right through town. the only 4 lane was the incomplete expressway e-w across the valley. i miss the median between edinburg and pharr, with the palm trees. i think edinburg had about 18,000 people. now its closer to 100,000. same for all the cities around. never thought there would be a traffic jam on the freeway in the valley :) i miss the old days.
