japanese has go and kan readings on chinese characters, each like its own screenshot on the chinese language during the time it was conceived of. it's not an accurate reading of mandarin, but it does make do in the japanese language

She didnt really read chinese 出入平安 is read as "chu ru ping an" but instead she read it in kanji form.
