I always hate negative comments about people.
I thought the shakiness was purposefully done to release extra emotion and I felt a lot of it. Seriously at the end of the day feeling strong emotion from a song is the most important thing.

This is probably a weird thing to point out, but I like that Christina actually opens her mouth up when she sings. Because that's what I have to do when I sing high notes. And I feel stupid. But she's pulling it off. :D
That is the proper way to sing :) When you go for those high notes or any loud/powerful notes open wide! You're doing it right. :)

I actually saw Christina live and was absolutely phenomenal. If you haven't noticed, my principle comment has received a lot of likes as in meaning some people agree with it. You, however were quick to judge me behind-oh- another screen? Therefor you are a hypocrite. I have the right to an opinion just as much as you do and if you don't like it, move along to something else and ignore me. Simple. You know nothing about my life so you have no say in what I do or don't do.

The "freaks" (in a good way) that produced this song.. are smart enough to pause the music and let a piano covered by Christina's amazing voice at 0:44 trip you away and shiver yourself. Simply, amazing.

i think maybe the reason so many people dislike the backup is because the harmony is slightly dissonant, something you don't find very often anymore. i personally love it but everyone's entitled to their own opinion
What I would not GIVE to be her. She's so talented, so beautiful, and so amazing! But, is it just me, or did her backup singer TOTALLY ruin this performance for anyone else? Wow... so flat! Christina was RIGHT ON (except at the very very beginning... I think she was just a little nervous or excited but when she got into her "happy place"- my GOD did her voice soar, just as much as it did in the music video!) Anyway, I... am in love with her... like LITERALLY. Too bad she's straight, and... so far out of my league she's not even aware of a whatever league I am apparently IN! Oh well. At least I can listen to her phenomenal voice and exquisite writing talent!
I know that. How appropriate of this INSANELY amazing song! I guess, though, it's just the norm for live performances to not add up to the expectations edited recordings give us. I mean, it's like airbrushing the CRAP out of a "slightly-above-average" looking woman and turning her into the impossibly untouchable "standard" of beauty that actually can't possibly exist.
Case in point- Demi Lovato- on her Cosmo cover she looked like thee most impossibly stunning Goddess ever... but in real life, she's a little on the shorter side, and also... what "show business" calls "plus-sized", which, is like MAYBE a size 8, which makes her look human and freaking FAR MORE GORGEOUS THAN THAT FAKE COSMO COVER, but... we still look at people and artists and expect them to always look and sound and perform perfectly, even under live pressure. My bad. It wasn't meant to be a total cut-down, even though it came out that way. Fact: My all-time favorite band- Evanescence does NOT perform well live. Amy's voice is just too delicate to be THAT POWERFUL for an entire live show. She's CONSISTENTLY flat on her higher notes and longer holds.
About the ONLY exception to that rule- that I've seen, ok, well maybe two (that I've seen live as well as have heard recorded)- Lea Michele and Naya Rivera... not ironic they are the two lead stars of the hit musical show Glee... but live, they STILL both absolutely KILL! I don't know how they do it. Anyway...

I still don’t know what she’s getting criticized for, she sounds amazing. And that too being able to sing this good live is crazy. Y’all gotta realize only few artists can sing really good live and she’s one of them. Singers always have a fear of voice cracks, or not being able to hit the notes but she slayed it.

You guys keep dissing the back up singer, I get it, because anyone may come here and comment bad about her voice, but that is what makes her beautiful , she's real. you guys feel the pain she's singing that is why it sounds good. But when you do this with music, lets listen to the lyrics instead of focusing on trying to prove to others what the music meant. You Don't have to explain. we all know we are here ,seeing her as vulnarable as can be because only that way do you really become able to say I'm only human. we all look up to God. we say we are human because we get weak. But we shouldn't make it an excuse. We know her message and why don't we just do this individually.

The things that I looked for in the voice of the singers that sings live is how similar their voice are to the audio edited and I think she's one of them. It's not the background singers, not the music but the pure raw voice. That's the beauty of a true singer. And I love her songs. After all we're all just a human (:
