ROCK FISHING FOR SNAPPER AND KINGFISH AT THE NOISES, HAURAKI GULF NZ. Had always wanted to have a go at rock fishing off the Noises, the perfect day came along so we made the 20km trek out to the group of islands and rocks stacks known as The Noises. The big ones showed up and we came home with a feed.

DRONE FISHING ACTION - WEST COAST NZ. Headed out to the West Coast to experiment with a new drone called the Splash drone. The drone is waterproof and able to drag a long line and hooks out into the surf. Beautiful day and amazing part of New Zealand.

There's some shallow water fishing for snapper up at Sailors grave, the rock ledge at the south end of the beach at Pauanui is ok, or if you have a head for heights, drive up to the North East corner of Mt Paku and there is a track down the other side to a ledge that produces ok. The wharf at Pauanui is ok - change of light on an incoming can produce trevally and at night other fish like ky and kings and barracoutta come in. You can collect pipis at dead low tide behind the wharf then use them as bait. If you are on the Tairua side, at dead low tide you can walk around the rocks of Mt Paku inside the harbour and fish into the channel for snapper best fishing into the evening.... need calm conditions.... hope that helps...
