Back in 1979, I bought a 1976 CB550F from a fellow Airman that was heading over seas. It needed a couple of items (a front tire and a new speedometer), which I fixed, then rode it for a few months and then had to trade it in for a car. :( It was a fun bike.
I bought an orange 1976 F1 from my elderly neighbor a few years ago. It was original with only 3000 miles on it. I asked him if I could push it over and wax it, then start and later I bought it for $1000. I told him it was worth much more but he wouldn't take it.
