Doug Wilson did fine for a new believer. I would hate to think what I would have sounded like on a national stage after coming to faith those many years ago. A person's faith walk is a long journey, and it can take a very long time to be able to articulate the experience and to have the answers for your faith. It takes diligence to do the research to get to a place where you can fully understand enough about God and faith to then be able to accurately share it with the world. The basic message of the Gospel is simple, and often that is enough for some believers. But for others, the pursuit of deeper meanings and knowledge is a lifetime of work.
Trying to be better is what reprentance is and is what John 14:15-16 and chapter 16 tell us is required for Jesus to represent our reprentance to the Father as a mediator; the mentally young who don't appreciate right and wrong with respect to God, that is to say, who don't appreciate logic logically don't have their sins counted. We need Jesus as a mediator but our reprentance is logically valued as a reason for the mediation and the mediation is where Jesus asks the Father to logically send the Holy Spirit to inspire purified consciences which is evidently not how the Holy Spirit interacted before; which means that the initial reprentance is not a product of inspiration but a participation in Christ's memorial perfection through faith in His activity. That young Christian has a better soteriology than lots of folk in the Church. Grace is the gift of a logical implication. I currently think that claims that are made about God that are prophetic towards a third party are not God and subsequently do not exercise the logos kritikos power that God exercises that is described in Hebrews 4. God wants us to consider prophetic claims about God as a consequence of His logos kritikos judgement that also logically judges our response to the prophetic claim. Everything is made through the Logos God bless, peace

I'm guessing that Joe would say that he can't accept Noah and Jonah, and other sections of Scripture, (so he just rejects it all rather than studying it to find the answers.).
I've also heard him say that it's nonsensical that a man can walk on water or raise from the dead, which is absolutely true. But, of course, we believe Jesus was God and not just a man.

It's always a good thing when the Shepherd finds a lost sheep. That goes for all of us. I hope his seed finds good soil, not shallow, and that it doesn't end up strangled by the thorns or taken by the birds. My advice to him would be the same I have taken to heart, it's one thing to believe in Jesus, even to admire him, but it's quite another to pick up your cross and follow him. Make that your focus. For now, I will rejoice that another soul has found his way back home. God always keeps the light on for us, even though we don't deserve it.
The fundamental issue with the simulation theory is that you are using your experience of the world around you from you senses to come up with a conclusion that requires you to deny the reliability of your senses. Your senses are literally all you have to utilise to discover truth and so it is a self undermining position.
That's just the world being the world. Gotta prepare them for it somehow, canon plus just as good as any. They're gonna hear it eventually, just explain why it's wrong and move forward. I did find it weird they bleeped the first one and not the latter though.
Adam's understanding of repentance and forgiveness is the way that all parents practice repentance and forgiveness and makes perfectly good sense. Interesting that Doug has decided he is immature in his understanding and will ultimately come to Doug's narrow interpretation of grace, repentance, forgiveness, atonement when he is enlightened. Reminds me of the encouragement of Jesus to return to child-like-ness. If Adam's understanding of Christianity remains fixed to "works" like 70% of the Christian-world, but he remains in love with Christ then I have no caveats to add to his beliefs.
Yep. That's the way to do it. I'm sure he has tons of Christians who request to be on the show. You gotta give him some details that will peak his interest. "Christian Nationalist from Idaho who is frequently protested, particularly for his book on southern slavery. Was also a good friend of Christopher Hitchens"

Be great to get Doug on his show, I don’t think it’s deliberate, it’s just that I don’t think he knows who would be a good advocate of Christianity, maybe write to him?
@@AlienPsyTing1 Apologia has written to Joe quite a few times to get Jeff on (for the past couple of years), but to no avail…however, as the expression goes: “squeaky wheel gets the oil.” Also, we might Be inching closer to having a sound theologian (such as Doug), since Jordan Peterson has been talking more Bible with Joe. So, he’s listening. Need to pray for the end. Love to see Joe saved.
I didn’t realize such a thing existed. It’s not like gods existence has been proven.
Even the "best minds" in traditional Christianity wouldn't be able to adequately explain the faith because they really don't believe what the Bible teaches. Despite whatever doctorates or ministerial positions they may possess, i can guarantee for a fact that literally none of them actually knows what the Bible teaches enough to be trying to educate anybody on Christianity.
@theeternalsbeliever1779 that’s a bold statement: you guarantee “for a fact that literally none of them knows what the Bible teaches…” welcome to Doug’s channel.
This will come out of left field, but what are the settings on your Shure SM7b? I can usual see, but I can't make out yours. (You and I have a similar voice tonal quality.)
3:26 that is weird how he blow smoke at that point.
Hoping for a stephen myer JRE response video!
Just really wish Rogan would consider putting this man on the show.
Great news about Adam Curry. For someone is still on milk and not solid food he did fantastic. I love the humility too at the end of the clip in the tone and candor that he states 'and I'm just new to this...'
I believe that God is using Jordan to soften Joe's heart towards the scriptures and ultimately to Jesus.
How many Christians have been on Rogan?
I love to hear guys like Adam stand up for their new found faith in Christ. I hope he grows in Christ. Brethren pray for his sound upbringing in Christ Many are propagating false doctrines. Adam, Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not to your own understanding. God bless.
The editors missed that last f bomb, but great video nonetheless
This was a great moment on the podcast. Love that we can dial up the volume on these moments and create good dialogue. If you are interested in my take you can check out the video I did as well.
That’s our Pod Father
The fundamental issue with the simulation theory is that you are using your experience of the world around you from you senses to come up with a conclusion that requires you to deny the reliability of your senses. Your senses are literally all you have to utilise to discover truth and so it is a self undermining position.
Would pay to see Doug talk with Joe Rogan.
I think affirmational smoke should become a fixture of the sharing of the Gospel
Listened in the car with my kids, until he dropped the f bomb that wasn’t bleeped. “Dad he said a cuss, turn it off!” 🤦♂️
That's just the world being the world. Gotta prepare them for it somehow, canon plus just as good as any. They're gonna hear it eventually, just explain why it's wrong and move forward.
I did find it weird they bleeped the first one and not the latter though.
@@jaihummel5057 just an editing mishap
Probably best not to put Rogan on when the kids are around. Even with censors.
I feel like Doug could get on Joe Rogan's podcast. The "Christian nationalist from Idaho" or something to make it sound interesting.
Yep. That's the way to do it. I'm sure he has tons of Christians who request to be on the show. You gotta give him some details that will peak his interest. "Christian Nationalist from Idaho who is frequently protested, particularly for his book on southern slavery. Was also a good friend of Christopher Hitchens"
@@TyranBatten Up until your comment, all I knew of Doug was that he was Christian 🤷♂️☺️. What part of Idaho?
@@truthbebold4009 hes from Moscow Idaho.
@@TyranBatten Oh yea. That's good. That could work!
When will Joe put his faith in Christ?? I am praying. 🙏
