The curls may not grow back as he is mixed race. Those were his baby curls that were cut off. As mixed race kids get older, their hair also gets corser. You could see the literal hair change when the child was shaved. I just hope that was the mother and not a grandmother because some parents want to enjoy the curls before the kids get older. Second, the barber didn't have to cut all the child's hair off. He could have did a fade out with the curls longer on top. It shows the laziness of the barber who may not know how to cut mixed kids hair and simply go for that buzz cut. In Germany many mixed kids go to Turkish barbers because Turks' texture is the closet to mixed race kids. Their barbers know how to keep it long on top and short around the ears.

Cut is nice. I would have kept a little more curls on top and back. But for the summer it’s great. My son was born with that same cow lick. He’s an adult now and evidently he trained it .
Don't worry! The way he did it, they will grow back in, and he will still have a clean cut, but if this cut is in the spring, all those curls will be back by July, TRUST ME. Little boys that age grow hair for a living 😂😂😂😂
I have a three year old with curly hair (2b, 2c) It's so hard to keep them still enough for a scissor cut. When he gets his hair cut, it's cut very low and it last him 6 months. I would love to keep some curls on him. He'll have to be older for that.

I have 2 sons and my little one has hair similar to this. We go back and forth sometimes he does curls for a while then other times he gets scalped. He’s only 4 and doesn’t really care as a matter of fact he gets so many compliments when he has that fresh lining, I’m sure he feels like a big boy and cheeses so hard. It’s just hair….

The top of the head with somebody with that grade of hair SHOULD NEVER BE CUT FIRST. ESPECIALLY ON A NEW CLIENT. That's why his hair ended up so low. Also, scissors were not involved. This boy is just happy that he won't be getting picked on for a while but he did not want his hair cut that low.
