That statement is an oxymoron. If Scotland becomes part of the EU it is not independent it does not make its own Laws and cannot vote out the people who do. Also if Scotland wants to rejoin the EU after Brexit it does not automatically have the right to rejoin. The EU may very well say no because Scotland outside the UK does not not meet the criteria of EU membership and would be a net beneficiary to the EU.

He said that a nationalist will always be searching and believing in the things which make their nation united while a separatist minded person will always search for things which make them different from the rest of the nation. This sentiment led to the creation of nations like that of Pakistan and look where they are. There are many situations where divide becomes the only solution for survival like the case of bangladesh where the bengalis were raped and slaughtered .this scotland situation is entirely different from the Indian sub continent and its comparison though very indirect just shows the agenda of this guy. I would say Scotland might be right in leaving UK. I mean if we are talking about Scotland’s independence we should see the pros and cons for Scotland. And i see it’s mostly a win-win situation for Scotland. The separation certainly would hit UK hard but we are talking about Scotland right now. And the majority now might be in favour of independence as there was only a 5% difference earlier.
