  • The Eastonmade 37D with attached conveyor is a log splitter like no other. In this video I take a closer look at one of the main features, the attached conveyor. @EastonmadeWoodSplitters

    Easton made sure are nice splitters but dang a attached conveyor makes it twice as nice for moving around in the wood yard

      The conveyor is really handy...didn't realize how much it changes things and adds to the workflow. 👍🍻

    It is like nothing else. Smooth, Fast, and Powerful all wrapped into one (big) package. Couldn't be happier with my 37D.

      You my friend on on the same thought process that I had...and amusement park in the woodyard. Set up a trampoline at the right angle under the conveyor at the highest setting and see how far I can bounce the splits! lol 👍🍻

    Nice overview of the 37D with the attached conveyor. Knotty pieces are difficult on any splitter. Stay Hydrated and Have a Safe

      Yes, I do...have only run both the box wedges so far. This 5 way box wedge works great and will be using the 7 way this week for a big job. 👍🍻

    Do I understand correctly that there is a dedicated pump for the hydraulics of the conveyor? Do you know if there’s any power loss using the attached conveyor versus a standalone?

  • @williamellis8993
    @williamellis8993 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Looks like a well thought out design. Isn't that a two stage hydraulic system?
    Bill

    • @Back40Firewood
      @Back40Firewood  ปีที่แล้ว

      I think the pump is, but again I'm not up to speed on all those specs like that. 👍🍻

  • @RobAllround
    @RobAllround ปีที่แล้ว +1

    I thought, the chain speed is adjustable by turning the wheel on the right side of the conveyor controls?! Isn't it?

    • @Back40Firewood
      @Back40Firewood  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Nope, that knob is the throttle control for the engine...so in a sense it does slow down the conveyor, but only because the RPMs of the engine are lower.

  • @TANGO22222222

    How much? Got to be at least $2500

    • @Back40Firewood
      @Back40Firewood  ปีที่แล้ว

      Might need to add another zero...$2500 doesn't buy much of a commercial grade splitter nowadays.

  • @mattbrown8299
    @mattbrown8299 ปีที่แล้ว

    I love my 12-22 and almost ordered a larger splitter with the attached conveyor, but folded up it stands 10' and would not fit in my garage. However, after watching this video I wonder if i could store it not fully folded up? My garage is deep enough, just not that tall. You should take the time to sharpen that box wedge. Once I did mine it cut right through most of the knots and that's with the limited pushing power of the 12-22 . That 37D wont slow down at all if you sharpen that wedge and will be able to handle almost anything. Just be careful as that steal sharpens razor sharp and holds it for a while. Good Luck, have fun, and stay safe.

    • @Back40Firewood

    I can see it now. Create an opening/door in the roof of the boiler room wood stacking area, and you can fill it directly with the conveyor. No touching the wood after the splitting. Won't be stacked, but talk about easy.

    They are impressive with arb waste but when you have straight logs why not go down the processor side of thing

    • @Back40Firewood
      @Back40Firewood  ปีที่แล้ว

      The main thing would be size limitations with a processor...I get all my wood from my buddy's tree service company so being able to handle pretty much any size is what I need. Granted it also means I have to buck the logs up...lol...a processor eliminates that. 👍🍻
