I would LOVE this but I never see Sig and a PPC bolt face happening. There are too many AR tinker toys they will be flooding out for the next 2 years of this election cycle
@@Shadx27the spear LT needs to evolve into its own design. It needs to trim the weight by not being a ar18 / ar15 cludge, not by making parts like the barrel and bendy handguard too thin.
I really like his thoughts on shooting Valkyrie out of shorter barrel (14.5) suppressed platforms. I'd love to hear more about more effective caliber options from 14.5" suppressed gas guns.
I wanted to go with 224 V but it never took off and very few things were available when i looked earlier on. I only shoot 9mm in handguns, 556 and 300BO in ARs. I always wanted to stay stream line with ammunition, but 6arc was introduced at the right time and i managed to pick up a Noveske 6arc in 18" and 12.5" follwed by a BCB 18". Never shot any of them because i was buying parts and loading up on factory ammo. I have about 600 rounds of the 108, 400 of the 105. I skipped on the hunting because i didnt plan on hunting but now learning theres not much of a difference with its match ammo. Interested to see what the TAP and Berger line do (when i eventually start shooting it). Availability fpr me has been great
I got the geissele GFR in 6 arc, 18” barrel. Gun is unobtainable right now. Got lucky. It’s an absolute tac driver. Run it to 500 yards non stop. About 300 rounds in it. Phenomenal cartridge and weapon system.
I love my Valkyrie, I don't understand why it has such a bad wrap. Mine is a nail driver and I haven't even had to load my own pills yet. I was just shooting for brass and it's amazingly accurate with box ammo.
The guy that made the 22dpc tried the 22 grendel for a while but was having issues with powder capacity vs burn rate. He necked down the 6 arc can't remember if he bumped the shoulder, but had much better performance load wise
It felt like a 6mm ARC didn't have enough energy, but it's very fun to shoot. Got 6mm Creedmoor but it's too much of a kick for target shooting. I want 6mm ARC in tikka. LOL
Damn you Wade! I thought I had every AR I wanted, including a Uintah 6 ARC. Every time I watch one of your videos that you talk about the 6 ARC gas gun, it pushes me a little further down the path of, I gotta have one. Especially, with the realization that a 16" barrel will preform as you talk about. It's like having ice cream in the freezer, it keeps calling my name.
What mags have you had best luck with 6 arc and 224 valkyrie? My 224 valkyrie functioned flawlessly for roughly 400 rds before i started having issues i bought a brand new pri mag and the follower is tilting most the time every now and then i can get it to run.
Love my 20" 6 arc, I put together, 1/7.5 twist, Liberty/Saturn barrel, and bolt. It loves the 108s. I would be interested in a 22 arc setup for lower cost purposes!!
I built an 18" Faxon 6.5 Grendel in early 2021 because that's what I could get ammo for. I wanted 6arc bad, and waited as long as I could hoping for ammo or brass or really any 6arc components to be available and it just never materialized. Im just recently starting to see 6arc ammo around here. We have a. 23cal minimum for deer so The only interest I have in 224Val is for high velocity varmint loads.
You should look Into a guy named Mark who owns samuraifirearms and precision firearms. He builds killer ar and bolt guns. He does a great job on the 224 valkyrie in an ar. He makes his own barrels. Just a suggestion. Love and listen to the podcast all the time while drivin!! Keep doing what you guys are doing. But for real, check into samurai firearms, he builds damn good 224 valkyrie barrels.
I have actually seen 1 box of 6 ARC ammo, in all the stores I shop for ammo. 6.5 grendel has been a huge pain in the ass to find in the last 3 years. I love the idea of a 22 ARC and the 6 ARC, but until I start seeing more ammo available for them, I won't be building them. I hope they do come out with both calibers and their successful with the ammo manufacturing. Thanks for the video and can't wait to see the next one on the ARC builds and shooting.
I see little on the shelves too. But, ive stopped buyimg from walk in stores due to price/avail. During covid online retailers sold waaayyy more ammo than ever before, and still have the largest apportionment of ammo from distributers. Granted you gotta watch shipping, but many places offer free shipping w 1-2-3 hundred dollar orders. Since covid startedive bought exclusoveky online and have yet to pay too much. I tend to buy bulk when i buy so i get free shippimg and great prices. Scooped up 6 arc right outta the gate with no issues and grear price, also already a while ago grabbed up 500rds of 22 arc in the various offerings as im building one. If youll shop online, and patient enough to really look, you can find almost whatever you want on good quantities at great prices. When i see upwards of 15 bucks a box savings over my lgs im gonna jump.why by 5 boxes for 35 when i can get 10 for 23 and free shipping online? Money aint fallin of my trees outside.
Great video thanks just wondering im been thinking about building a 6mm arc for my son he Manley deer hunts and hog hunting im wondering what your thoughts on 6mm arc or 300 hamr or 224 valkerie i reload so that's not a problem for any one of them thanks for your time
I wanted to build a 6 arc bolt gun so bad. But here in Tennessee you can't find 6 arc ammo anywhere and I like the heavier bullets for 200 yards and in hunting. So I went with the 6.5 grendel and absolutely love it. Maybe one day I'll get me a 6 arc AR
I have ended up with 4 ARC rifles and have worked up a really decent 75gr predator load that works well on hogs and dogs . . . and I find that lately I will still grab my 18” Valk 80% of the time I am chasing dogs. Now I am really perking up on the 22ARC 💡 💡
Ar with a carbon barrel from proof 18 in Nomad 30 muffler Question is that I have taken four deer so far with it but bullet destroying itself and not creating any blood trail which wasn’t needed for any of these deer because they dropped where they stood when shot with 108 eldm What bullet would you suggest or a 10 minute talk please
Amen. I found a dealer who had a dozen contoured blanks and I almost had him spin all of them up for that exact rig. I was planning on keeping a couple and selling the others on forums but then some health stuff got in the way. TPH should do it!
I got an early cmmg endeavor in 6 arc, it is awful 2" groups at best. I just purchased a carbon six replacement barrel to fix it. I guess thats what I get for early adopting it. Cmmg doesn't even make that caliber rifle anymore.
I ordered three boxes of factory second "105 tipped match bullets"from Midway USA. Turns out they are 109gr with a heat shield tip and longer than the 108. 🤔
I got on the Valkyrie train when it came out,for coyote hunting and 1,000 yard plinking with my son.Lots of load development ended at 6-.5 twist.Decent fun at 1000 and coyotes,my son was 12.The 6 ARC was way easier to develop loads for,90 grains shot the best. But we made good loads at 80.5…103…105…108.On that note,I had my old 22-250 rebarreled to 22 Creed.Because of what I learned from your channel. Can’t wait to shoot that one.I should have it back in a few months🍻
I just wanted the pros and cons between 224 Valkyrie and 6 ARC. Can't you give a short answer to anything without a hundred side stories? I feel like I've lost a month of my life on all your posts.
I built a 6 ARC on a Christensen receiver, 22 inch 7.5 twist IBI barrel, in an MDT HNT26, triggertech 2 stage diamond and it bug holes everything i try in it. Mulies on down to varmints with this gun.
6ARC out penetrating M855A1 is kind of a laugh. 6 Arc with a similarly manufactured bullet, or 224 Valkyrie with the same bullet and pressures, THAT would be interesting.
I know you hate reloading, but do you, or have you thought about a sort of subscription service (or prescription >addicts) for your premium ammo line? Customers can buy it, shoot, return the premium brass, and y’all reload that dudes brass. That would be consistency for there rifle performance. Slightly cheaper for brass, and if y’all just bumped shoulders, they get the warm fuzzies about it being fireformed. Maybe a retarded idea, but seems like mostly wins. Really it’s my hoarding ass losing sleep thinking people are trashing or giving that brass to a range.
Why rag on those who can't shoot as well as you? Funny how the level of skill always seems to be based on just about the level of the guy doing the talking... regardless of the topic.
Great episode Wade. Thanks for speaking highly of the Valkyrie. It took me a while to figure mine out, but I'm a fan now.
Took me a minute to
Love 224 Valkyrie. Wish it was more popular.
I love my 18” Valkyrie fit coyotes and wife uses it for deer here in Nebraska

@@Shadx27 it would be nice considering the 16” 7.62x39 is a thing already

This is great! Thank you! Seriously considering the 6 arc for second upper now as a do all rifle.
