This is actually a rare video recording from when she was writing the song. It is in a house because Tobias Jesso Jr (the guy playing the piano) who co-wrote it prefers to write in that house instead of a studio, so she had to record everything on her laptop, and this is where this video is from.
She recently said in an interview that she later went back to that house to properly record the song for the album because she wasn’t feeling it at the studio.
The song is gorgeous.
In the Zane Lowe interview she said they went back to the place where they recorded when we were young. I didn't think that was at her house. She said she used photo book in her laptop to record it.

This is exactly the most psychic part. Sit on a couch and just sing. Even though it's the simplest photo and a regular microphone it does a psychic performance. Even in the parts where the microphone is jarring it is still delightful. There are not many singers who sound like a microphone and still enjoy the performance and feel the amazing emotions and vocals. Every time Adele sings it is kind of a miracle because she went through a lot of problematic things with her voice and she lost weight and still sings amazing because it is simply impossible to know what other results would have happened that would have affected her ability to sing.

Wow, I am so glad you caught this! She is one in a million. There have been many amazing women singers but there is something so different about her. She can sing for sure but she has such a way of pulling you into the emotion that it makes her so special. Watched it all Adogg, thanks!

She was singing this for the recording of the album, but they were in a room that didn’t have recording equipment so she recorded on her computer. It’s basically the demo and the online live version because we’ll get she said she only sang it twice during the album recording and probably won’t sing it again live.
Here in the UK we have a treat this Sunday the 21st as Adele is doing a one woman show called 'An audience with' on TV. The format for this show is the artist appears in front of an invited audience usually lots of celebrities and answers questions and sings. Can't wait to watch it you will most likely be able to watch on TH-cam at some point later.

I think Adele will have to change her mind and sing "To Be Loved" live because it is just too stunningly beautiful! I think her fans will demand it when she tours. I hope she can work though her emotional triggers and somehow perform it live. It is the best song on her new album imo.

Anyone that doesn't believe that delivering that kind of stunning performance is effortless for Adele needs to watch this video. *I* was exhausted at the end of that song, but not Adele. She wasn't the slightest bit out of breath and she did not have one bead of sweat. She turned and spoke to that camera all calm, quiet and composed as if her voice was not soaring above the earth just seconds earlier.

This album is dedicated to her young son for when he is older, for him to understand why she chose to divorce, and explain how she was feeling during this life changing event that has affected her son. She also, bought a multi-million dollar home in LA for her ex husband, across the road from her so they can co-parent their son together. She never smears her ex either. Not only is she one of the most talented singers in the world, she has a great sense of humor, and all class!
