Invaders are other Tarnished that invade Tarnished in order to kill them. There are npc invaders scattered throughout the land, but also players that invade as well.
That invader was Edgar from Castle Mourne After you help him clear out castle Mourne earlier, he finds his daughter (who gave you the letter for him) dead and starts carving out a bloody warpath looking for revenge. You just encounter him while he's on his warpath and he mistakes you for an enemy.
10:42 "Find the Albinauric woman. She hides in a cave to the west of the Laskyar Ruins which jut from the mist-shrouded lake of Liurnia, She knows the location of the medallion's counterpart, I am sure.
My jaw DROPPED when you opened your inventory and you had *several* altered commoner's circlets, most enemies in the game have a chance to drop their armour sets and weapons upon being killed and that specific headpiece is an ESPECIALLY rare drop!!! So just so you're aware at times it's worth to 'farm' enemies if you're interested on acquiring their weapons or looks!
Edgar was that captain of the guard at Castle Morne. You know, the guy who's daughter asked you to give him a message, then found her dead....the girl that Hyetta, the girl asking for shabriri grapes kinda looks like....oh and read the description of the shabriri grape.
BTW: As you probably figured out jump attacks are very good. Since this is not something you will figure out while playing the game I feel like it's fair if I mention this: Every enemy has a hidden poise bar that slowly regenerates. Depending on how you hit them the poise bar is depleted and when it's empty their stance is broken. Jump attacks, especially with dual wield, deal the most poise damage and that is what makes them even stronger. There are also items scattered around the game that buff the damage of jump attacks. One of which you already missed but I'm not gonna go into detail since that could make the run very broken and not as close to a blind experience. Maybe you'll find the other one :)

I would recommend going to “greyoll’s dragon barrow” again and try to get to greyoll a big sleeping dragon that gives a lot of runes but also behind it u can get half of the dectus medallion and an op talisman
I would also recommend getting 2 spells like flame grant me strength and blood flame blade for your bloodhound’s fang and it will boost your damage into crazy levels
Elden ring tips and things: 1. If you don’t want to only rely on the bloodhound’s fang ash of war then I recommend you just put a good ash of war that can’t be spammed on the dismounter and use that in your right hand 2. Your weapons scale best with dex, but there’s this little thing called infusions. You can switch the infusions of most weapons to give them different scalings (strength, dex, int, faith, etc) and it is very strong. Your dismounter only has the standard infusion so you need to switch it 3. Never get greedy and wait everything out, take a sip or something 4. Certain enemies are weak to certain elements, the erdtree avatars and everything plant related is weak to fire (and this works for most enemies, if they use a certain element or are made of that element then they are strong against it)
Invaders are a PvP mechanic (when you summon another player, you're open to be invaded. you can also invade others by using one of several multiplayer items) but the game also has NPCs invade you at specific, scripted locations. Edgar is the father of the maiden that died after castle morne btw - the narrative reason is that he went mad in his quest for revenge.
The singing is from one of the bat boys. Theres even a translation of what theyre singing about lore wise. Its pretty cool so check it out if you have time
So to explain invasions there are two types npc invasions that are story driven and real player invasions. The way it works is that they get summoned to your world/save to fight you. The one you experienced was an npc invasion, the guy that invaded you was edgar from castle morne which is a follow up to irina's quest. I ma not gonna explain why he invades you because it's kinda of a spoiler in the story of the game. The other posiibility is a real player invading you from their world, if you play the game offline you're not gonna be able to experience the real player invasions which i recommend because you're gonna get rolled from experienced players while this is your first playthrough in a souls game. Either way i really like your narrative in this series and i hope you keep enjoying the game. Edit: If you're interested for the lore of the game when you finish it. I recommend you to watch a channel in youtube called Vaatividya he's basically the loremaster of the souls community and you'll get all your answers about the story of the game.
tip for finding stuff in the game, the map is actually full of info but its stylized so can be hard to make out, but any ruins or any interesting markings on the map you should check out.
Edgar the Revenger is the guy from Castle Morne way down south in Limgrave! His daughter, Irina, got killed at the end of her storyline and he swore vengeance upon the misbegotten (the creepy boys with the wings and tails).
The erdtree avatar is one of my favorite repeat bosses, because you can get better and better at the fight even in the span of your first playthrough. It just demonstrates the best part of elden ring bosses - getting better at them and the feeling of satisfaction from feeling like you learned the fight.
Just a quick tip, because I saw you have your flasks at +2. You can upgrade how much HP and FP your flasks regenerate by using Sacred Tears on them, found in Churches across the Lands Between. Three of them are in Weeping Peninsula, one at the beginning of Liurnia where Thops (the bald sorcerer) is sitting on his bench, and another in Limgrave at the church where you picked up the Flask of Wondrous Physic. You already have 2 out of the 5 currently available, so you should go get the other 3 as well. It helps massively. Good luck on the journey!
Bloodhound fang and dismounter is what I used for the entire game and DLC. May not be best, but can be acquired early and certainly gets the job done with all enemies
Hey to find the key to the magic school you have look around the swamp to find a island where theres a dragon that is sleeping and you have sneak around it theres the key
Minor Erdtrees are where you can fin crystal tears to alter the effects of your wondrous physick. Sit at a site of grass and you will have an option to mix wondrous physick.
Good to see you making these again. You should two hand your weapon sometimes. Its a bit faster and does more damage. If you want to use it one handed pair it with a shield and guard counter.
If you ever want to trx out spells, the mervhant at the start of liurnia sells a staff for sorceries, and in limgrave a small ruins to the right of the lake has a sorvery teacher in the basement! For incantations you can simply buy a seal to cast them at round table hold.
Loving your playthrough, loving your humour, loving how you describe seeing and experiencing these things for the first time, these beginning parts are beyond amazing! Looking forward to your story both in Elden Ring and on your channel! I wish the best for you, you’ve certainly gotten another sub! Enjoy the game Young Tarnished 😁
Another 10/10 video! That Flame Mace is gorgeous and pretty rare, actually a 1 or 2% drop chance, so it's pretty wild you got it on your first time killing that type of enemy. It's nothing special in combat, but in this game you can use any weapon you like as long as you keep it upgraded and learn its moves well. There's a rare variant of that Flame Monk which wields a Flame Curved Greatsword, he's only in 2 locations in the game and I farmed him for hours to get it. It's actually the worst Curved Greatsword in damage, but I used it anyway because it's beautiful and it fits perfectly with fire Ashes of War. I don't know why they make these rare weapons worst them the easy-to-find ones, I guess they take appearance into the balancing as well. 😆
Since you died at the minor erdtree you probably haven't seen it, but defeating the boss grants you new ingredients for your wondrous physick. Look out for more minor erdtrees out there in the lands between. You can adjust the composition of your physick at a site of grace.
small help: those enemy camps usually have one or two really good or unique pieces of loot at them, and that one where you got the monk's flame mace is no different, try looking around the tents. that specific thing is very useful later on.
also I'm glad that you just found the haligtree secret medallion organically, i totally missed the albinauric village on my playthrough and had to look it up

Most NPC bosses have 1 flask of crimson tears. When they try to heal a 2nd time, they'll be stuck in an animation as they notice it's empty, which can be punished nicely.
I've watched your videos since the first one and first of all, I'm lonving it! But this video and the previous got me thinking I might have missed some past entry because you really went into Liurnia, but I realized you just never found a couple of cool things back in Limgrave. I'm not going to spoil anything but you migh wanto to look for Siofra River.
I'm at the start of the vid so ignore me if you find it. But seek out Bloodflame blade, it's an incantation buff for your fang. It's in a sparkle boy somewhere in the misty lake.. I won't spoil exactly where
I’m not sure if you know but you can see the map location on your map it has a little icon kinda like an archway(also if you haven’t there is a map that shows where the key is near the academy you should be able to use your map to cross reference then)
One mechanic you should know about is that there are several different types of physical damage: standard, slash, pierce, and strike. You swords do slash damage, like most swords do - you can see what type of damage a weapon deals in the equipment screen, just under its name. Slash is fine for most encounters, but if you find an enemy who looks like they're made of rocks, it won't be the most effective. For them, I'd suggest you either use some form of elemental damage - Wheel Boy can hook you up with some of those - or find a backup weapon that smashes instead of slashes.
My first play through was 260hours and I loved every moment. My style is to take my time and explore every inch of everywhere. Each play through gets less, think my 4th was 120hours. My DLC play through was again 260hours. What I'm saying is: the game is massive. So don't rush or skimp. All the people watching know this. You can rush it, but...whats the point. Just explore and enjoy. We watch you, to remind ourselves what that first play through was like: huge, fun and exciting.
I had a blast in this one! Short amount of time but a lot learned. Thank you all for watching and I hope you enjoyed!!

Love the build and the dual weild
Great job man :)
Can't wait for the next adventure
I won't spoil exactly where
11:35 the gold mark on the ground are people you can summon for the fight some are NPCs, some are real people
ER was also my first FromSoft game, just after its release. ✌🏼
Love the videos
I’m not sure if you know but you can see the map location on your map it has a little icon kinda like an archway(also if you haven’t there is a map that shows where the key is near the academy you should be able to use your map to cross reference then)
The dragon is in the lake you can find him on the left side of the lake
11:47 You ran out of stamina. Gotta keep an eye on that green bar. Especially when swinging around two big weapons.
The mechanics of the Aiden fight are so clever though. He has nothing going for him except the Flame of the Fell God. Which is why he stole it.
DUAL CURVED GREAT SWORD SUPREMACY 🗣️🗣️🔥🔥🔥
your build is starting to look like mine. i’m on NG+ and dual wielding two max level bloodhounds fangs
I have been playing for 1000 hours and you managed to show me 2 weapons I have never gotten before haha
