    Aww, what a super video! I think you've nailed it! I love your little treats.
    Please remember it's a long time before it's a 'scar'. You'll have a wound. The surgeon told me that calling it a wound reminded you, and others, of your fragility while healing. It was 33 years ago, but I still remember, as at the same time, he told my husband to leave right now, and don't come back without Granny Pants 😂😂😂

    Some of the always disposable adult nappys are amazing. Some people think that you don't bleed after a c section,but you absolutely do,and those always disposables are an absolute game changer 😊 I'm so excited for you,and best wishes for the birth of your sweet baby,and healing thoughts for you of course sweetie. ❤️ xx

      You 100% do - regardless of delivery we all have the healing wound of where our placenta was so it’s super important to be prepared for that 😊 I’ve gone for the pads and giant high waisted pants so I avoid the scar area as much as possible 🤗xax

    I love all the sorting bags for different compartments. You really have covered everything. I like the little roll away suitcase, the electrolyte tablets, and the little chocolate biscuits for the nurses is a nice touch. Don't forget your cell phone charger! You are ready to go! Exciting!

    I'd say alot of the mum stuff would be useful if your going into hospital for any reason. And a fan is a must alot of wards not have air con so gets really warm even when it's snowing outside lol. Pillow is a good shout, blanket good too when I was in hospital (not having a baby, just poorly)i took my teddy blanket in as hospital ones can be bit scratchy and also I was in for while so nice to have some homely stuff. But Good luck, ameila!!!! can't wait to meet baybet xx

    I know you said about a thicker suit in case it’s cold from the hospital to the car but I’d say pack a blanket(s) for baby, most hospitals have you putting the baby into the car seat to carry them out so they won’t allow the thicker suit to be put on them. Least with blankets you can tuck them in to keep them warm from the hospital door to the car :)
    One thing I would say is pack more pads for you you’ll be surprised how many you’ll get through over the few days you’ll be in for. And also for ease have another small bag of extras packed so in the event you/baby stay in longer hubby can grab it from home and bring it in with no stress of forgetting anything (we actually kept it in the car and ended up needing it).
    I had an emergency c section with my first (on her due date and then went for a planned c section with our second for him to decide to come 5 weeks 2 days early ‘naturally’ So neither went to plan at all haha!! X

    • @xameliaxYoutube
      @xameliaxYoutube  ปีที่แล้ว

      We have a blanket packed too in the blanket bag so if they won’t allow the suit or it’s not that cold on the day then we’re covered both ways 🙌🏻 (obvs again, no pram suits when actually travelling in the car).
      My friend gave me hospital grade maternity pads so they’ve gone in too, these were just my ‘thinner’ (still blooming massive 🫠😂) ones I’ve also got so I’m stocked up on all the glamorous bits haha

    Hospital air is extremely dry and dehydrating so I would add in a hydrating facial mist for u and maybe a serum to help your skin. Also I think for painkillers the nurses will give u painkillers whenever u need them (as long as not overdosing), u won’t need to wait for medicine trolley.

    • @xameliaxYoutube
      @xameliaxYoutube  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yeah I’ve got my lovely moisturiser - face mist could be a good edition! Definitely going to take my painkillers just incase as I’ve heard some people being left a little long if things get super busy so better safe than sorry I spose and they don’t take up too much room 🤗😊xax

    Have you thought about a Morrck blanket instead of an outside suit, they sit in the car seat and the car seat straps come through the back, you can then adjust the blankets to suit baby and when they are older you dont need to disturb them sleeping to remove outdoor coats.

      I came here to say the same thing! The pram suit is a nice idea but realistically it’s a total pain to put them on and off as needed. I really only used them when we were going on long walks.
      I would say you don’t need the switch for afterwards. If baby isn’t fussing and is sleeping you should try to close your eyes and rest, even if you can’t sleep. The first few weeks are so tough that it’s essential to try and rest where you can.
      Good luck - you’re about to start the best journey ever!

      @xameliaxYoutube  ปีที่แล้ว

      Ah well, even if just for a little leaving the hospital photo haha! It's too cute not too, it has little bear paw mittens and feet, ADORABLE!!!
      To be fair there will be a LOT of waiting at the hospital with us having a planned C section so a couple of games of mario kart while we're hanging about waiting for our timeslot will help me take my mind of things I reckon :) I struggle to focus on my book when anxious so mindless switch games it is. Might finally get some weeding done on my Animal Crossing Island haha! xax

    By big sanitary pads do you mean the ones that are like a pant? I found those really helpful with my two. They give you pads in the hospital but I preferred the pant ones as they were more secure
    Looks like you are pretty much set for hospital and little ones arrival.
    Can't wait for the announcement that he/she is finally here. Sending you and Chris lots of best wishes for the birth ❤️

      Yeah the maternity giant absorbent pads that go in the high waisted pants to help as you’re bleeding. Got some hospital grade ones and some slightly thinner ones for as things ease off a little after a while. So glamorous ey!xax

    Odd question, but do hospitals in the UK not provide mums with maternity pants or pads? I'm seeing lots of people here and on Instagram recommend you to pack loads, but here in Sweden I was given them immediately and was offered as many as I needed during our stay. Same with baby nappies, they were all provided. It just seems like something pretty reasonable that hospitals ought to have on hand, rather than mums to be worrying about trying to guess how many you'll need (so, so many!). I'm sorry if that's the case. I can highly recommend literally buying adult diapers, they felt so much more secure on the first three days. It's not A Look, but they helped me massively. Your bag sounds great, and I'm so excited for you! I'm due with my second baby at the end of June and watching this is giving me butterflies!
