Hi , I m investing in pgim mid cap fund 8000 rs every month. My plan is for 10 years. Now the fund performance is not that great but it has quality stocks. Do I need to devide 8000 and invest 4000 into hdfc midcap fund ? Pls suggest
Because there are very less small caps with long history. Before regulations small cap funds usually hold 70% large caps during fall. So it will be a wrong assumption to take their return from inception. It is why we cannot small cap funds are a good choice for long term. 250 index still only have a 13% return from inception
Yes true it is a reliable fund. I have been holding since its IPO though I had got in and out of a portion a few times. Had I just held on and just added I could have had better returns
WE have to not only see returns but see how much risk the fund manager has taken in giving the returns. He has contained downside risk well. And that matters a lot

A better video would have been on best midcap funds derived by comparing different metrics instead of only on HDFC midcap..
