For a long term investment in a small cap, risk will be adjusted. Then, return only taken in to consideration. Hence, Quant is best. It's my opinion as aggressive investor.

@@User67578 overall, bandhan small is second best among all small cap fund..Quant small cap has higher return in last 3yrs and 5yrs, and no.1 in that duration. That's why everybody is talking more about Quant..but having said that, Bandhan is a nice dversify from quant small cap, it has a very different holding pattern.

I have a 3 fund portfolio consisting of 33% S&P, 33% Total stock, and 33% international. I feel a need to focus on complete growth so I went 100% stocks, but does the SP500 and TSM overlap too much to make sense holding both? However I’ve been in the red for a month now. I work hard for my money, so investing is making me a nervous sad wreck. I don’t know if I should sell everything, sit and just wait but watching my portfolio dwindle away is such an eye -sore.

See, place yourself in quant fund managers place... You have to follow up and make decisions which is also short lived...sell often ...buy often... No long term holding means you are not investing... You are doing a swing trade... When it comes to trade , it involves more charges.... Think of you in a place where you have to carefully watch everything and make decisions...how the mind of fund manager would be... Definitely they need relaxation and more compensation... Think of a back end team who works on collecting fundamental and technical information... They also have to work a lot as the fund house is doing swing trade...and follows momentum.. those resources also needs more compensation... All comes and ends in fund's expense ratio... And I belive this team setup and dedicated resource may not work for long... If they go for software 's suggestion.... Then one day or the other , the bubble will bust...

Quant small cap as it has high high turnover ratio and follows value style of investing which will give returns for this decade. Secondly i would prefer nippon india as it has balanced approach and then SBI.
