Luna, the same thing happened to me, where a mother commented on my having lost weight. This mother knew me from my competition studio, that I left after the 10th grade. And then she saw me again while I was dancing in college. I was back training to dance professionally after some time off and was actually in my early twenties when I went back to college. I was at a point in my life where I understand my body, healthy eating habits, and what kind of cross training worked well for me. But it really shook me up when she commented on my weight, because it felt so unnecessary. I was fit and strong. And then a couple years later, a friend I danced with professionally …who was much more ballet thin than I was…commented that she thought I was getting too thin (I’d gone through a bad breakup). The difference was, that time she was absolutely right to worry and I’m grateful she spoke up to me. As long as you are feeling healthy and strong, just try to shake it off, and enjoy your dancing!
You should be insanely proud of what you’ve accomplished. Falls happen, dancers roll ankles, even forget choreography sometimes (guilty!🙋🏼♀️) but your performance brings so many people joy and wonder. Thank you for making these vlogs for us to enjoy and inspire us. 💕💕💕

As a daughter who’s mom was a principal ballerina (youngest in Canada in her time) at 16 for 25 years….These videos bring me SO much joy and happiness. I love you so much Luna thank you for giving me the ballerina videos I crave ❤️
This truly may be my favorite TH-cam video ever it helped get me through the end of last nutcracker season because I made mistakes and this showed me how mistakes are natural and not to big of a deal!
As a dancer, I 100% understand the whole being too hard on yourself during performances. I was Dew Drop in my nutcracker this year and I had to do fouetté turns towards the end of flowers. At my studio i was easily able to do them because I had a mirror to spot with, but on stage it was significantly harder and i was so nervous. Each show I did not get as many in as I had wanted, and it felt like i failed. But nobody even noticed which was so surprising because I thought it was very obvious. Everybody thought i did great and even though I wasn't satisfied, at least everyone else else was. I even had other dance moms come up to me and congratulate me on the performance. Keep doing the great work you're doing Luna!! you looked absolutely amazing out there and you handled the lift very professionally :)
The last show was breathtaking Luna!!!! The harmony between the two of you and how much you seemed to enjoy dancing and being in the moment together was beautiful 💕 So proud of you 💕💕

Luna, I really understand you. When I lost weight people were pointing it out. But instead telling I look okay, they were actually telling me I look sick and ugly. That was very paintful. They were calling me anorectic, even tough they did not know my situation. Sport and dancing can and will affect your body, even tough you are eating a lot. I know something about it. I just want you to know that I am here for you and I support you.

Beautiful to see this. My studio isn't very big and our nutcracker production is usually quite small scale so people like me who are not very advanced in the studio don't take part in it but I enjoy watching it every year and watching you is wonderful as well.
