    Good video! Straight to the point with everything and clear communication. Camera angles and focus were great. Very satisfied. Hope you show how to change the transmission fluid in another video. 👍🏻👍🏻

      @BobbyOnesios  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Awesome! I really should of done a transmission fluid video. I still have the CR-V and the trans fluid change isn't too difficult. Just be mindful of the fluid splashing everywhere and you must have the engine warmed up and turned off to check the trans fluid level. Also I just recently changed all the struts and after two failed aftermarket struts, I highly recommend buying directly from Honda.

      @@BobbyOnesios which brand of struts did you end up going with, and how are they working out for you?

    • @BobbyOnesios
      @BobbyOnesios  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@mwpahl38 The two up front are directly from Honda and the back two are KYB Strut-Plus from Autozone. So far the KYBs feel great. The Honda struts are perfectly fine as well. They just cost four times the price.

    Don't start VEHICLE until full by car, also keep dipstick up and barely in, some people forget to put oil in it, so I learned to take oil cap off and Dipstick hanging out. This guy explains well but never good to Run low, he ran it 2 quarts low, that's very bad for engine, he said just over 3 quarts, by honda, it states 5.3 quarts of oil, but you will have some left in it unless run out overnight. Most don't, put some oil in filter, its best, then make sure there's no rubber seal left from OLD FILTER NOW oil the new seal and put oil on it and rub in just like he did. But best off to take old filter off first, why, then you match up by put them together, rubber to rubber and make sure the same size seal. Once you due that, add some oil in filter for better life of engine, no dry start, put in about half the filter now, then screw on once it stops and hand tight, give a quarter of a turn more and your great, then wipe off any oil drips on underside so you know, then go to top, add the 5 quarts of oil it calls for. The way I start my VEHICLE up is bump the starter a few times to get oil up to top. Just beware of some cars reset stuff by doing that, honda I DON'T think so. Ford i believe does, that's me but DON'T have to. Then let run and check for pressure if you have oil pressure gauge, if not, then make sure no dummy lights stay on of oil, if so, shut off and double check oil, check under VEHICLE 1st. No oil on ground then great, then check oil after a minute shut off, make sure enough oil in it, if very low, then make sure you put oil in, if you did, then you have and oil leak and look under, I have seen my brother-inlaw come home and truck smoking, he said he just got the oil changed and oil burning off, that can happen, but his was pissing from oil filter mow, he called the place, they told him to drive back, he said how, my oil light is on, my father-inlaw is here with my brother-inlaw my father in law work at General Motors at the time and stated that its got to have a double oil gasket on from filter, it sometimes sticks to the block, if you don't wipe clean and double check the filter my way and by wiping oil off clean to see, then you know its not on. Then put your oil filter on, they gave him a free oil change on his next visit. My father went to the store and hot oil and filter, brother-inlaw kept it and took back 2 the next day since they closed at 5 o'clock, it was 3:30p.m. and needed to go to store, lucky he drove only 3 miles and lost 2 1/2 quarts, if got on a highway, then would of blown engine. So its always good to check for oil spots even by the PROS now. They make mistakes to at times, also warm up oil for 5 minutes max. His VEHICLE needs to go in to the shop and have his valves adjusted, these 2.4L Honda engines are known for it. I learn everything about all vehicles I own. I'm a Chevy guy but own a 2 Ford's 1 Plymouth and a Honda now, sorry but Honda and Toyota was the best cars to buy for a used vehicle in 2018 to get your money's worth under $10,000 and have it last a long long time and be very very safe. Top 2 vehicle's, CR-V and RAV4 It runs great but has some things you must maintain, they need more four-wheel alignments and differential fluid change more often then any other car I've ever seen but that's it. never change differential fluid unless I got water inside from four wheeling or if I replace the cover with an aftermarket cover on my old truck and that's it.

    Hey I have a 2010 Honda CR-V exl 4wd with navigation but weird I don't have a compass in the middle also how do u get 24.9 mpg I get like 18

    • @BobbyOnesios
      @BobbyOnesios  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Ming Li I'm not sure about the compass but I believe the models equipped with navigation didn't have them. It may be because the navigation handled it all. As far as the mileage, 24.9 is one of my lowest mpg. I usually stay around 28 mpg. It could be your 4wd, driving pattern, or terrain. I also ended up getting energy efficient tires. There was a time I started getting low mileage and noticed the bolts holding the throttle body to the intake manifold were loose. Air was slipping by and causing poor performance.

    • @mingli1241
      @mingli1241 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Bobby Techknow really even on highway I get bag mileage but I do go about 80
      90 also thank you for the reply. And the intake where is that? Is that where he engine filter is? I'm sorry bad with car things. One more thing at low speed let's say stop sign when it's in drive there like this noise idk how to describe I have a video of it. Honda was trying to charge me 150 for diagnosis. It stops if I park it or put it to neutral.

    • @BobbyOnesios
      @BobbyOnesios  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      80 or 90 could eat some gas for sure. The intake is just after the air filter in the engine. How many miles are on your crv?

    • @mingli1241
      @mingli1241 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      I only have about 52,000 miles. I'm actually using the video to do an oil change, then later an engine coolant replacement and also a brake fluid change. The vibration and the comment I said last time when ur stop at a drive thru let's say stop in drive it vibrates also when going under 0-10 mph it's such a strange sound. Is there an email or something I can send it to you. Thank you

    My adventures with my wife's 2010 cr-v have been awesome, especially when we found out that it burns a quart of oil every 1,200 miles because of low tension oil control rings. Last Honda I'll ever own, they used to be great but not any more, my tacoma doesn't burn a drop and its a 2006, love toyota!
