I feel like the BC's actually mostly served as a distraction to the absolutely MONSTROUS nukes. Those Ghosts were the MVP's
Agree, they should have counted how many probes were killed in that games.
It was almost like watching a bronze league game when it came to Rail reacting to those nukes!
@@andrewwang1561 I'd say 65-70 from the ghosts alone, because he was hitting 12-16 each time, and then also just shot about a dozen of them lol
That damage allowed him the time to build up the BCs

What was Rail doing? He lost something like 100 probes, mostly from nukes. That shouldn't happen
let's remember that the screen that we are watching now is way bigger than the screen of these players. So things might be not as clear as you think it is.
@@thovinh5386 Yeah, but also he got nuked like eight times and never really did anything to counter it. I mean at one point he had 3 observers with his main army. One of those set up in the right spot could have saved 30+ probes.
@@GoblinUrNuts Agree with you on that, he didn't bother to response to the nuke and all the price piled up
the problem with nukes is it expotentially reuquiers more micro to defend against then it is to attackw ith them. You need units, you need detection, you need to find the little red dot, while there is prolly many others things simultanously happening. Also to use tempests you need to continously kite with them , becaue anytihng will take them out when close.
6:20 the orange balls are "tectonic destablizing" rounds and a flying building doesn't have a tectonic plate to stand on.
Even if this wasn't the devs intention, I'll blindly believe that this big brain explanation was their reason.
Yeah, 99.99999% Blizz thought of that and then named them that way. I thought this was a funny comment from the caster lol, it's still 'logical' (magic space logic is still logic) both in-lore and in terms of game mechanics that the flying buildings get blue-balled.

Huh, one of the first players I’ve seen whose response to nukes is to just ignore them and let them take out his probes, lol. I know he was distracted, but damn did the Terran get just a crap ton of kills with nukes and then the nuking host just hanging around killing more scvs, multiple times.
I mean running amok battlecruisers especially near your base with tech is hard especially if the guy is good at microing the ghost to its max

Tempest are pretty damn awkward to micro. I think you need to spread them out so they don't all fire at the same thing at the same time. No need for 20 shots on a single marine. A few oracles would have been nice too.

Rail took so much needless damage from ghosts. He needed to invest in more static defense in the direction the ghosts were coming in. It would have freed up his apm and kept up his mining time. You build static defense in your mineral line to keep you enemy from diving your probes and you build static defense away from your Nexus to keep it from getting nuked directly.
Yeah. I don’t know why many Pro players refuse to just build a few cannons around when there are so many nukes going down.

If rail had one - JUST ONE - oracle he might have won this. He needed map vision and the ability to abuse tempest AA range...

Edit: OMG, I just realized Rail has no Ship Armor upgrades at all. Against BCs with 5 base damage that is a HUGE problem.
Great game by Soul I rarely see mass bc in TvP, but one raven would've greatly complemented that bc fleet
well it really comes down to what your agents ...but at the end its basicly any of the capitalships (carrier tempest BC broodlord corruptor)
What is the actual protoss counter to mass battlecruiser other than, "Don't let him get to mass battlecruiser"? Tempests on paper are supposed to be the hard counter but they get murdered in real life. Void rays would also get murdered by yamato and BC jumps.
There's an Creator vs TY game from a year or so ago which suggests that in an extremely big eco situation, the tempests can sit over a large amount of batteries/cannons to prevent the teleport, then abuse their range to get cost effective vs BCs. The game becomes very much about slowly fighting for territory, and there is also terran counteray with nukes. there are also some little tricks you can do with recall/mothership recall to avoid getting teleported onto in the first place, those CDs are similar to BC teleport CD.

As a protoss player they should add more time on the cooldown of the timejump and yamato cannon its cancer and to OP it needs nerfs
I think its bad balance if one race got a unit , thats obvious will win the game if it ammases enough of them. In TvZ its not a problem becasue how good corruptors are against massive, but in PvT, as the commentator said, if you see bcs as Protoss, you are on a clock , because you cant fight a massive bcs fleet and even before that point, the hit and teleport out will kill you, you just cant defend everywhere.
As a noob in sc, is the bc the strongest single unit in the game?

Carrier lose to BC. You can go into sc2 unit tester and try it yourself. A battle cruiser will always beat a carrier even without using yamato. You can even take your time to slowly kill each interceptor before hitting the carrier and you'd still win. Carriers suck against BC because interceptor do shit damage against high armor BCs. Tempests technically also lose to BC in head on engagement, but with tempest you at least have a chance to poke and kite. But once the BCs are on top of the tempests its instantly over.

I have seen Mass BC more viable/successful in TvP many times than TvZ. I guess those Vipers and winfestors are the reason.

I am currently playing in bronze as zerg… I am not very good, but I have a APM off 70 on average and 85 to 90 on a good day, but I am currently being beaten left and right from mass battlecruiser builds by Terence that can coast along at 42 55 actions per minute, I don’t even need to scout anymore because every Theron is doing the same build and this is frustrating because it is breaking the game for everyone who isn’t playing T TERAN BATTLECRUSER….. it might not be a big problem for more advanced players, but it is pure frustration for everyone else in bronze that is not playing TERAN BATTLECRUISER….!!!!! do you or anyone think that this will be fixed in the near future, either by nursing battlecruisers or boosting surge, static defence or something, because nothing will come through it, and even though I go straight into corrupters, they trade so poorly against battlecruisers and cost too much gas so I can only replace them a couple of times before the game is done GG GGGGGG 😢 it makes it so frustrating that I am losing to the same strategy from every TT V Z …. I hope there is hope in the future for some balance for the less sophisticated. Zerg… because now it’s currently no point playing on the ladder at all………!!!!! please somebody respond to this utterance of pure frustration…..! I even lose when I go up to 115 drones versus only 50 drones for the Teran mule…..!!!!! 😂😂😂😂 I was mining from for basis when he was moaning from two😂😂😂

Emp should be Raven skill not a ghost. Also Strom effect should slow down enemy atk speed and movment.

@@_H_aruu96 Meanwhile Carriers got graviton catapult removed, and they are completely useless. Protoss has no effective way of fighting the zerg or terran Air units. Phoneix are useless in 90% of scenarios, Voidrays are good but they are easily countered. Are Blizzard really gonna leave the game at it's current state? wtf
