The thing your calling collector separates think of 2 bowls stacked together, at the motor end oh the collector you'll see a lil, look close and you'll see its 2 lips. With a fine thin flat screw driver you have to get it between the lips. Sometimes rotating it around you find a slight gap where it's easier to start. Work it off and you'll get to your fan blade then you'll figure out the rest
My Henry cuts out in 2 seconds with a burning smell . Having opened it and ran it and saw loads of sparks from the motor . The carbon brushes have more than an inch on them .... The motor seems very clean . Any ideas ?
Just use a motor brush seater stone. Aka a white diamond stick or commutator stone. That’s how a true professional would have done it. Never use a metal file people.
Appreciate your time & energies.
Nearly had a row until your video demonstrated common issue & DIY.

You could get that Henry back to life with a new set of carbon brushes. Good video 👍
