I understand what you mean by seeing Myers do & attack things that don't make sense but come on, its Myers in 16 bit glory stabbing shiz. The story might be the tone we're used to, but the gameplay maybe just for fun to get us to the next cutscene or what have you. I don't know about anyone else but Myers vs Deadites?! Sign me the hell up!

I think the weird enemies in the Halloween game adds to its retro vibe. Games in the 80s and 90s that were based on movies always had random ass baddies. I really dig this and look forward to spending spooky season on these.
Honestly I'm not excited about them. The Texas Chainsaw Massacre was such a letdown because apparently everything has to be multi-player with internet connection or you cant play it (evil dead). Just give us a good game, with a good story, upgradable abilities, explorable world, good graphics, and the ability to play as the killer or the victim. Simple.

When you announced yesterday I was breathless in my imagination and the potential and thinking my dreams were connected to like the spirit energy of this thing. Then I see this trailer… I’m straight gutted feel like puking. Welllllllllllll
Halloween/Evil Dead crossover: The town of Haddonfield has been cursed with the presence of Michael Myers for decades, and no matter how many times they've tried to kill him, he keeps coming back. But Dr. Loomis becomes convinced that there's only one way to destroy the evil that is Michael - find the cult that has given him power. (I know, it's controversial to return to the cult story, but I feel like it makes most sense) And what Loomis finds is that in the cult's possession is a book written in blood and bound in human flesh, a book that contains unspeakable evil. That's when he encounters the arrogant, loud-mouthed Ash, who is searching for the Necronomicon. The movie plays as a buddy cop horror movie as Loomis and Ash team up to locate the Necronomicon and stop Michael once and for all

At the same time, Tiffany gathers the pieces of her former lover (similar to Bride of Chucky) and takes him to find a new body, but Chucky is dead set on getting his revenge against Andy. Tiffany and Chucky track Andy to Camp Crystal Lake and it is there that we get the crossover between Chucky and Jason!
If they did a movie right. Ash vs Evil Dead on Halloween would continue after Halloween Ends. With the necronomicon bringing him back to life would be worth the watch.
As much as I would love to see that crossover, I also think that it might not work because the tone of the two franchises are just so different. Ash Vs Evil Dead goes over the top for the sake of silliness and badassery, whereas Halloween is emphasizing more the menacing brutality and dread side of things. I just don’t know that I would want to see The Shape fighting Ash for a full movie - maybe a Bat In the Sun YT video? That could be fun.
I’m looking forward to this game, hell I already preordered the collectors edition, but I hope the other one their making has a solid and fulfilling single player experience and a fun asymmetrical multiplayer mode. We'll see what the future brings but I think it’ll be awhile before we find out what the other Halloween video game is.

The TMNT game was badass and pure nostalgia. I kind of like having something like this to hold the fans over for something bigger. Playing as Michael will be fun but it would also be fun to play as Laurie and have to fight Michael. I think the majority of people wanting a Halloween game want to be haunted by Michael and defeat him. If you’re just Michael the whole time, I think the dynamic is a little weird. It works playing as Jason because those movies were always campy and solely about Jason killing the shit out of everyone. Halloween takes itself very seriously, with strong narrative focusing on peoples story and then trying to escape Michael. Even the sequels attempt to replicate that (to large varying degree). So a strictly Michael walk and kill game is kind of weird in my opinion. Makes complete sense as Evil Dead.
It looks cool… I just really didn’t want some cheap cellphone game you’d find in the App Store. I can definitely play this retro game and we still have another game to look forward to

This was so disappointing. Thought it'd be a game like how Friday the 13th was. Don't get why they don't make an actual Halloween game and Halloween's been out for decades.
This reminds me of the set of Shovel Knight games. I assume they’ll both be in the same file? Which makes me think, perfect opportunity to add more licenses and allow them into the worlds. Chucky DLC, Jason DLC, Freddy DLC. infinite money.
I'm probably going to get this game but the thing is I'm a huge fan of the old Friday the 13th and Nightmare on Elm Street NES games. Those were the prefect horror video games and even though they are quite different they had Jason and Freddy in the boss battles which was awesome. I wish they had made the Halloween where you play as Laurie Strode and worked your way through levels and battled Michael Myers in the boss battle. Playing as Michael Myers isn't going to be quite as fun as it would have been playing against him but hopefully it'll still be somewhat of a decent game.
The Unreal engine game is most likely going to be the asymmetric multiplayer game more likely than not. Most of those are using Unreal Engine 4, so they'll probably go on about the "first asymmetric game" to use Unreal Engine 5.
Also, that looks like a pitchfork that Michael is throwing, like the one he used to kill Spitz in Halloween 5 (and he got stabbed in the back with in Halloween Kills). I do hope they pepper in all kinds of references from across the entire franchise.
That Alkaline Trio tattoo! Since you’re a fan of Trio and Blink, check out the band Driveways. The singer sounds like Tom with a boston accent and they’re pop punk meets post hardcore. They have Halloween references in their songs too. Trio has been my favorite band since 02, but Driveways is neck and neck with them since discovering them.

I have a feeling it’ll be like Streets of rage but a horror version which is cool as hell I honestly like retro games like that but I’m still a bit disappointed that we didn’t get a legit Halloween game I also want to see an Elm street version of this hopefully they make something with that or a Chucky game

Also, that looks like a pitchfork that Michael is throwing, like the one he used to kill Spitz in Halloween 5 (and he got stabbed in the back with in Halloween Kills). I do hope they pepper in all kinds of references from across the entire franchise.

Since you’re a fan of Trio and Blink, check out the band Driveways. The singer sounds like Tom with a boston accent and they’re pop punk meets post hardcore. They have Halloween references in their songs too. Trio has been my favorite band since 02, but Driveways is neck and neck with them since discovering them.

@@WeWatchedAMovie my pleasure, man! I saw them live back in Nov and it’s easily one of my favorite shows I’ve been to. They don’t tour as much since 2 of the members are teachers. The literature nerd in me caught on that 2 songs are about The Great Gatsby. I’m really glad you enjoyed. I really want to see them blow up. They even caught the eye of Mark Hoppus.

I have a feeling it’ll be like Streets of rage but a horror version which is cool as hell I honestly like retro games like that but I’m still a bit disappointed that we didn’t get a legit Halloween game I also want to see an Elm street version of this hopefully they make something with that or a Chucky game
