25:04 What da hell planet did Taz come from? He and Mononeon flew in together from Pluto(the dwarf star not planet according to Neal Degrasse) The level of musicianship and feel at that age, UNBELIEVABLE !!!!
Oh my God. Musically speaking. 1st you need to know I'm 64 almost 65 years old. Saw Weather report in 75, I remember the birth of jazz fusion, Jeff Lorber, Spiro Giro, many others. I remember Billy Cobham, other Giants. Then along came Earth, Wind and Fire, with that damn Spectrum (as they described it) music. EWF Took sh&&t to a whole other level in the 70's and 80's, musically, production wise, arrangement wise. Jump ahead 40 years to now. These "babies" have taken that concept, and RANNNN with it. This is SOOOOO next level. Totally. Here's another explanation. Growing up in the 60's and 70's the thought was in order to slam dunk a basketball you had to be at least 6'6". Then along came Dr. J. then people began trying to dunk. Now you have middle schoolers 5' 8" or whatever dunking. Why? cause they believe it is possible. This has happened again and again in music. This some next level music right here. i'm a full time musician/jazz pianist/ arranger/educator/music theory wizard, i know it when i hear it. This is the equivalent of when Miles(Davis) went from Be-bop to Cool jazz. NEXT LEVEL. LOVE IT. SPUT IS A BEAST.
That guest guitarist, no disrespect to Eddie V. Halen, Ernie Isley, Jeff Beck, George Benson, Prince, Jesse Johnson, Dez Dickerson, Carlos Santana, even Jimi Hendrix, and others but your a beast.
Taz..... rhymes with bad azzz. Awesome, look at my comment below. Figuratively speaking, this is that middle school kid slam dunking a basketball at 5'8"
Robert "Sput" Searight - drums = Snarky Puppy / Dywane “MonoNeon” Thomas Jr = main man in Prince's last band / can Taz sing and write songs? then we may have something here
There is hope for us all regardless of what 2020 says so far. how do I know. Look at the crowd dancing. Once we stop dancing, it's over. Ask Muhammed Ali (reference to what he said, when he fought and defeated George Foreman) Both literally and figuratively true. Ask the little animated penguin in Happy Feet 1. Yes a childrens animated film. But for 45 seconds in that movie, it was deathly serious. When he was in captivity, and remembered. "Hey, I'm a dancer" that led to him being set free. Music/Dance go hand in hand.
Ok, I got 2 things. 1) Why is this group not the most popular group in America? 2) That percussion player though. He doesn't look Hispanic (not racist) LOL. Those congas are actually singing. The drummer and percussionist must be brothers, them boys are locked in.

This aged nicely! Yes he is
QUE NIVEL POR DIOS!!
That snarky-puppy duo of Sput and Nate is too good :')

34:36 cool bass solo
My unrealistic expectation was for Kendrick to come in and do "For Free?" at the start of the set.
Same!

Taplin played with Prine's band too. And Nate is also of Snarky Puppy.
Damn. Hector Zeroni can shred.
13:40 42 Man Look at the crowd, look at the band. Nuthin like that!
Nate Werth, you a bad man. Love your percussion playing brother. Where the hell you from brother? Dayyyhummmm
And Mononeon, I won't tell the Men in black but its obvious you're not human. NLS. Next Level Sh**!!! for sho'
why are the horns always so low in the mix these days. With all that gear they have no clip ons?
Try blaming the FOH engineer not the band or their equipment.
@@jaycareaga9929 I am blaming FOH. Why have fixed mics for a venue you know will have horns.
Takes awhile to play their music their pretty good. Though
where's pete?
He wasn’t in the band yet
Nikki Glaspie in the background @18:54. :D

coz, this is real beat yo! everyone feel if is it right!
Well, two of them - Sput and X - are getting introduced to a whole lot people on tour with TOTO. And they are helping TOTO outperform Journey.
Young C got the best stanky face when going in.
this band and snarky puppy remind me of Herbie Hancock head hunters
Check out Taj Farrant.......he cuts this punk with one note.......
