The federal government didn't hesitate to increase the price of fuel 3.5 times. Now we have to beg to get a 3.5 times increase in salaries. What a shame. Government should pay at least 3.5 x 30,000 = 105,000

Why will you be on Minimum Wage Cadre and have four children, that's a kind of irresponsibility. Asides that, we are so focused on minimum wage, to the extent that we are not looking at the ripple effect of this on other salary cadre, the private sector, inflation and all other important factors that have meaning impact on our lives. Labour should stop joking around.

Anything less than 105,000 in a country where the price of everything is 3.5 times what it was, is a joke.

N54,000 is not even Realistic in 2024.
How much is fuel per litre?
How much is bag of rice ?
How much is transportation per day ?
How much is basic school fees ?
How much is house rent ?
    Many more.
What will N54,000 do with all this daily necessities

The NLC and TUC chairman, I think one of your main functions is to stand as a mediator between the federal government and the ordinary people in order to bring to them the succour of the government. But sadly you're not doing so instead you're looking for what will benefit the few and leave the millions to continue suffering.
The N54k isn't money, even they give N1m as minimum wage is still not substantial, therefore, your ideas are unsubstantial too.
If you could have endeared the governments to revive many of industries or companies left and abandoned for centuries, such will go a long way to provide the teaming population with a stable job where at the end of every month they're sure of their salaries.
If you could ask the governments to give incentives to group of people who have ideas and have studied or learned a trade let them start or open various job opportunities for the people, this way nobody will feel cheated or being abandoned in the same country we all come from.
Minimum wage increase without functional industries or companies, no growing businesses etc that are employing the jobless youths, such wage is valueless.
Labour should stand in the gap to see that more Vocational Centres are created across the country so that those who don't have opportunities to obtain a school degree can learn various hand works. If half of the population are monthly salary earners, the government under one year can feed the nation through tax payers money. Nigeria is huge in numbers and these numbers are being wasted.
There are many ways to make this country work and people feel good, one of them isn't minimum wage.
Sometimes, it baffles me how we think.
