Forglar is what a premium mod should be. Totally worth the $10. It's my favorite map on the cluster I play on. I like having all the biomes and all the dinos on one map. Snowy Train is also coming out with Atlantis at the end of the year which appears to be a water map. I can't wait.
I was looking for a map with all biomes and also wyverns cause I can’t access scorched it keeps crashing . Just bought the map can’t wait to try it ! Also are there death worms in desert biome on this map ?

@@meldraghart svarthalfheim has over 20 caves, cool variants and so much new stuff apart from the base game, even custom Boss fights, the only thing boring in svarthalfheim is Spawn points
It's the best premium mod map out there in my opinion, I also do believe it is 100% complete now, the final biome was added right after I released the video XD
I do really like this map and the dev behind it , the only thing that bugs me is stuff in alot of places just looks stuck together to make something new. Like rocks or thhing stuck together on odd ways that just looks like someone went wild in the editor sticking stuff upside down and backwards till it looked like something new. Id like it if some of that was refined a bit better but it is a cool map. Also if the biomes could be less hard line divided zones and flow more naturally together would be great
Yep! I'm very excited about this map, can't wait for the new biome and I do hope that more stuff does keep getting added, the developers are very active and are always releasing frequent new updates :D
The updates are frequent and slow to install. That said, I like this map. I bought it. I'm happy with the purchase. Like you said, attention to detail is so evident. You can tell when people love what they do, and these devs love this map..

I retired from Ark to play other games, also not happy with WC as most others. But these new maps look really good. Again thank you, and I’m with you as well, 10$ for good maps like this is definitely worth it. Modders are more than welcome to my donations.
This map looks awesome! I really hope WC (or partners...) won't mess up Ragnarok like the Center. Vulcano Island is just not it and most of the map just looks the same. maybe we should let all these map modders partner up and revamp the ASE maps... haha
Looks so much nicer than anything that Wildcard has come up with for Ascended. The snow biome actually looks like a snow biome and the lava biome doesn't look like a jungle. All the soil isn't reddish brown either. Really well done. I hope Wildcard considers getting these guys to handle the revamp of Crystal Isles. It's my favourite map and I think they could do it justice.

I have an RTX 4070 and Intel I7-12700k, 64gb RAM. I have a more powerful PC but this is the one i'm currently using as it has all of my stuff on it XD
The thing is for a cluster to work every player would have to own the map. Not all your tribemates/friends are spending $10 for this so it just ruins the multiplayer gameplay for everyone.
Seems cool but I really don't find that treehouse village good looking... It's just like on ASE Caballus, unneeded and takes space where ppl could be doing their own treehouses. I do love the bridges...
I can see why some wouldn't like it tbh, but you can still attach tree platforms below and above the huts on the same tree so doesn't really take up too much space!
I'm loving the map to be honest! Sadly no exclusive map creatures, Scorched Earth DLC creatures spawn, Ceratosaurus, Xiphactinus, Pyromane and all those types of creatures!

A great looking map with cool landscapes amd landmarks. My only issue is that it kinda runs like shit and the desert biome, specifically the dunes sections looks quite bad.
I have to disagree, the copy and pasting and importing of structures aint my cup of tea, the map needs alot or work to reduce the patters and copy n paste features, while it looks okay, it definitely feels rushed and nowhere near the quality it could be
It's beautiful. Sadly will never ever pay for a Mod under any circumstance unless it was deemed as a Official released like Center, Rag etc (Which always released Free anyways so...) This is a perfect example of why I always said this Premium, pay for mod, system is a blight on the gaming industry.
The Free version only includes half of the map so maybe about 40%. I'd probably say Forglar's premium version adds a lot more than most of the Premium mod maps out there, so many new biomes, lots of artifact caves, bosses and mini bosses. Temptress Lagoon free version is pretty good if you're looking for a free map to play!

Hi it looks like there are x1 Na region and x1 Eu region, official cross platform servers for Forglar but you will need to have the map purchased in your account to play them. There might be unofficial servers running it too.
is it possible to play the map as part of a cluster or is it not possible because it is a DLC you have to buy. So if I buy the DLC, are there some of the maps that are clusters where people who haven't bought the DLC play the normal maps and just can't access this map?
I will admit I haven't been able to try that, I don't see why not but I can't clarify it sorry! I would say that would be the case though if they don't own the map!
None of these maps are worth 10$ until they are finished. Even then I'm not paying 10$ for a mod. I will say forglar would be the only one I would pay for

Yep, they spawn in the lava biome! Actually surprised I didn't catch any in my shots but then again the Lava biome was a small section! They are pretty common spawns there just like the Center's lava island!
So if I'm running a private dedicated server, do I have to buy the map once for the server or does every player joining the server have to buy thr map? And even if I just have to buy it for the server, how do I buy it then when the server is running with an anonymous steamCMD login?
@@BEYPlaysGames thanks. ✌️ anonymous login can be used if you want to host your own deficated server, for example at home. I run mine on my old gaming PC. We mostly play with just 2 or 4 people on it, so I don't noeed a Nitrado server for that. With SteamCMD and anonymous login, you can run a server without having to buy the game again. There' an official guide to this.
I'm not entirely sure but just going off what I could see when I scouted it before making the video it seems with the free version: No bosses, No mini bosses, only a small portion of a snow biome, no desert biome, no lava biome, no fantasy biome which therefore means less artifact caves. Probably only 30% of the map is playable as opposed to the paid version!
I wish I could tell you but honestly I'm unsure as I don't have it on console yet! I'm surprised you get kicked out of the Center and Scorched frequently though, my wife can play both of those maps fine on her Series S, that is on a Nitrado server though so not sure if that effects it at all :(
@@BEYPlaysGames I'm on single player - I've heard the S does better when playing on a server. I did download the free map - and really like it. So far no crashes but early game tends to run better than late game. Thanks for your videos and your response.
I rented a server with this map and when I try to fly to some areas to see the map my game crashes :( I have a good pc so I don’t know why this happens

Go to the mods section when on the main menu and search for it there, that's where you can buy it, then you'll be able to start a single player world or you can add it to a rented Nitrado server for example!

It looks great but wtf..i bought and installed an it dident show up in my installed mods..so restarted an it now does,but it still wont show up in playable arks or mod arks...sombody plz help im on ps5..i just paid arou d 15 Canadian dollers😢

I just wish I had a quantum computer to play ascended 😂 my i9-13000k, nvidia 3070, and 96 gigs of ddr5 can only handle it on low. I had to uninstall it and stick with evolved. I AK excited to see what modders do with the future of ascended and hope WC optimizes it better soon

@BEYPlaysGames damn you got the setup. The i9-13000k and i9-14000k are neck and neck in everything with the exception of overclocking. Your gpu kills mine. That's crazy that we can't play a.gd game with 10k dollar systems. I'm going to get a 4070 super after Xmas when they price falls down. Hope that'll be enough to max the game out. After of course they optimize it 🙄

It looks fantastic and well worth the money, my only concern is the snow biome and being compared to the murder snow on Ragarnok. Love the weather conditions in each biome though.
Yeah it's pretty brutal, I do honestly do love the freezing cold temperature but I didn't think it would be everyone's cuppa tea. I don't think I've seen the temperature in the snow above -40 degrees! XD
@@BEYPlaysGames might be an idea for devs to allow a setting to disable the heavy snow temp. end of day, just need massive fortitude if u wanna play there, plenty other areas to go to.
Really? How? If you try downloading it be sure to stay on the same screen as the download page, I found if i backed out of that it always ruined my download! If not, just keep trying! It downloaded fine for my wife on Xbox and for me on Steam!
@@Bixpick Yeah I get that all the time, I usually just uninstall it and reinstall leaving the game there to do it and it works! You can also try going into the game files and delete the folder then reinstall from there!
I'm honestly unsure about how it works on the few official servers that are running but I don't see why not if you're playing on an unofficial cluster of servers that include the map!
I think it's fair if you are wanting a new adventure in ARK, new update just got added which almost has the map at 100% complete, a lot of work has gone into these maps and the full complete ones like Svartalfheim and Forglar are amazing maps to play!
you’re getting all the content from the original game for free, this is content that wasn’t a part of the original game, so you don’t get it for free. Simple. Just because you bought the beta version of Ark doesn’t entitle you to all future paid mods & DLC 😭 Forglar is for sure worth the money
I will respectfully disagree. Mods are completely separate to what you pay for in regards to the base game and they are nothing to do with the Wildcard devs (for the most part) so it's all optional anyway. I'll admit I will probably never buy Modded dinos but maps like this are great and tbh back in the day in ASE all the newer story map instalments that released all costed money to be able to play so if there are modders making complete maps like Forglar i'm happy to pay for them...There isn't many on the market though, I'd say Svartalfheim premium is the only other map that is worthy of the price tag when it comes to mod maps!
this map is a compllete eye sore that looks like somone flopped it together as far as the landscape, looks completely impossible landscape wise, fantasy style is fine but this map just looks dumb to me, abberationa nd gen 2 are good examples of fantasy but still look good. cant belive this costs 10$

By far the most creative map, I actually paid £8 on console I have PC but Ps5 is alot better in terms of optimization.

It's a great map to enjoy ark if you'd like to play a more end game style map with awesome extras, Rhyniognathas spawn here, Oasis and pyromane too
I agree! It's great, I did notice Rhyniognatha spawn more frequently than other maps XD...Pyromane actually feels like it belongs on this map too!
I dont like fact that all those premium maps are still unfinished.
It has plenty mesh spots that kill you just from walking or swimming which reallybsux

the only downside to the premium versions are that if you own a cluster everyone has to buy it to play it

Svartalfheim is advertised at $10, but actually cost $12 with tax. But that still only came out as £9.40 on my statement. Did you get taxed twice?

Yep, in total there are 4 official servers, 2 PVP and 2 PVE each having an EU and NA server. And can be played on Unofficial servers too.

Yeah the Fantasy biome got added a few days after I made the video XD. I think it'll mainly just received bug fixes and minor updates from now on!

Is anyone else having an issue downloading the premium version of this. Everytime I hit download it freezes on ps5.
I've read up that the issue is commonly happening to a lot of people right now, I read in their discord that Wildcard are working on a fix for it!
So if I'm running a private dedicated server, do I have to buy the map once for the server or does every player joining the server have to buy thr map? And even if I just have to buy it for the server, how do I buy it then when the server is running with an anonymous steamCMD login?
Everyone wanting to play on that server has to download the map to play it! I'm also unsure what an anonymous steamCMD login means XD
@@BEYPlaysGames thanks. ✌️ anonymous login can be used if you want to host your own deficated server, for example at home. I run mine on my old gaming PC. We mostly play with just 2 or 4 people on it, so I don't noeed a Nitrado server for that. With SteamCMD and anonymous login, you can run a server without having to buy the game again. There' an official guide to this.
Can you play online against other people you don't know if you buy the map? or is it only singleplayer you can play?

You can rent a Nitrado server and add the map to it so yes you can :)

What is the difference between the free map and the paid map?
I'm not entirely sure but just going off what I could see when I scouted it before making the video it seems with the free version: No bosses, No mini bosses, only a small portion of a snow biome, no desert biome, no lava biome, no fantasy biome which therefore means less artifact caves. Probably only 30% of the map is playable as opposed to the paid version!
How does it run on Xbox S? Right now I can't get into the Center, Scorched kicks me out in about 10 minutes so I'm stuck on the Island.
I wish I could tell you but honestly I'm unsure as I don't have it on console yet! I'm surprised you get kicked out of the Center and Scorched frequently though, my wife can play both of those maps fine on her Series S, that is on a Nitrado server though so not sure if that effects it at all :(
@@BEYPlaysGames I'm on single player - I've heard the S does better when playing on a server. I did download the free map - and really like it. So far no crashes but early game tends to run better than late game. Thanks for your videos and your response.

I rented a server with this map and when I try to fly to some areas to see the map my game crashes :( I have a good pc so I don’t know why this happens

So if I want to buy/play the map how do I do that? Never played a mod map before
Go to the mods section when on the main menu and search for it there, that's where you can buy it, then you'll be able to start a single player world or you can add it to a rented Nitrado server for example!

@@BEYPlaysGames i did, and lovin it so far! Also how i got it to work was uninstalled it,then when i reinstalled it i stayed on that exact page till it finished,now it shows up under mod arks an works like a charm.

I just wish I had a quantum computer to play ascended 😂 my i9-13000k, nvidia 3070, and 96 gigs of ddr5 can only handle it on low. I had to uninstall it and stick with evolved. I AK excited to see what modders do with the future of ascended and hope WC optimizes it better soon

@BEYPlaysGames damn you got the setup. The i9-13000k and i9-14000k are neck and neck in everything with the exception of overclocking. Your gpu kills mine. That's crazy that we can't play a.gd game with 10k dollar systems. I'm going to get a 4070 super after Xmas when they price falls down. Hope that'll be enough to max the game out. After of course they optimize it 🙄

This map looks so amateurish...and no map should ever be released as premium unless it's 100% complete.

It looks fantastic and well worth the money, my only concern is the snow biome and being compared to the murder snow on Ragarnok. Love the weather conditions in each biome though.
Yeah it's pretty brutal, I do honestly do love the freezing cold temperature but I didn't think it would be everyone's cuppa tea. I don't think I've seen the temperature in the snow above -40 degrees! XD
@@BEYPlaysGames might be an idea for devs to allow a setting to disable the heavy snow temp. end of day, just need massive fortitude if u wanna play there, plenty other areas to go to.

Really? How? If you try downloading it be sure to stay on the same screen as the download page, I found if i backed out of that it always ruined my download! If not, just keep trying! It downloaded fine for my wife on Xbox and for me on Steam!

@@Bixpick Yeah I get that all the time, I usually just uninstall it and reinstall leaving the game there to do it and it works! You can also try going into the game files and delete the folder then reinstall from there!

I'm honestly unsure about how it works on the few official servers that are running but I don't see why not if you're playing on an unofficial cluster of servers that include the map!

I think it's fair if you are wanting a new adventure in ARK, new update just got added which almost has the map at 100% complete, a lot of work has gone into these maps and the full complete ones like Svartalfheim and Forglar are amazing maps to play!

you’re getting all the content from the original game for free, this is content that wasn’t a part of the original game, so you don’t get it for free. Simple. Just because you bought the beta version of Ark doesn’t entitle you to all future paid mods & DLC 😭 Forglar is for sure worth the money
I will respectfully disagree. Mods are completely separate to what you pay for in regards to the base game and they are nothing to do with the Wildcard devs (for the most part) so it's all optional anyway. I'll admit I will probably never buy Modded dinos but maps like this are great and tbh back in the day in ASE all the newer story map instalments that released all costed money to be able to play so if there are modders making complete maps like Forglar i'm happy to pay for them...There isn't many on the market though, I'd say Svartalfheim premium is the only other map that is worthy of the price tag when it comes to mod maps!
this map is a compllete eye sore that looks like somone flopped it together as far as the landscape, looks completely impossible landscape wise, fantasy style is fine but this map just looks dumb to me, abberationa nd gen 2 are good examples of fantasy but still look good.
