South East Asians especially idolise and wants to move to Japan. Meanwhile, Japanese wants to break free from their ever stressful environment.

Whenever a foreigner said that they love travelling in Malaysia as Malaysia is the best place to get cheap and variety of foods, the people are kind and welcoming, it's where you can enjoy urban living and explore the nature, the transportation is cheap and quality and the accommodations are cheap and beautiful, for Muslims its super easy to find prayer room and surau to pray and eat halal.
I always thought to myself, I wish I can find a country like that to travel to... And I'm Like, "Heck, I'm living in one, I'm so so grateful to my Lord for giving me this blessful country I called Home".. Alhamdulillah

When I was young, i always feel living outside Malaysia so much better due to movies and tv series influence. But my 1st time overseas vacation to US, open my eyes how grateful I am to be living in Malaysia. But I still love to travel to see other world with my kids and the more I travel the more I appreciated my country. Especially on healthcare services. So when my husband been offered to work outside the country, I was reluctant. Lucky the paid wasn't that great, we decide to refuse the offer. Of course there's pros & cons but the scale still heavier on pros.

Well, in terms of overtime, maybe not as rampant as in Japan, but in Malaysia it also depends on which industry you worked in... industries such as audit, investment banking, etc, people still need to work OT and during weekend or public holidays as and when needed.
On the other hand, I think efficiency is something Malaysian need to improve on. We are not thaaatttt bad but could have been much better... so pls don't "praise" on the inefficiency in Malaysia. 🤣

Hidawari 93 this phrase is actually a reality in Japan. that's why their costumer service is very tiptop and never bad.. the costumer service in Malaysia is nothing like Japan to be honest. I'm currently living in Japan and I hope this kind of service could be real in Malaysia as well, but only from this video that I knew this kind of phrase existed and it actually causes stress among the workers.

@@marhazahiyah being a cosplayer in Malaysia is a bit stress cuz its hard to be a good cosplayer. you need to buy costume, staff, props everything cost money so its a bit stress. so thats why "costumer are always right" because they deserve it, these costumer really work hard on cosplaying so cheer for them. besides all the costumer here in malaysia are very kind and cool people. so please dont hate costumer in Malaysia, we know we're not that great yet at cosplaying, but we're working on it. on the other hand if u wanna hate on our customer service in malaysia then feel free to. the customer service in Malaysia is really bad lol

Glad to hear that you are getting healthy living in Malaysia but do take care of what you eat bro, don't eat too much. Malaysian are quite laid back because of the open interaction with others for example "Rileks la bro" or they like hanging out together "lepak" after a day of work like having a Teh Tarik Session with your friends. Overtime basically based on what industries you are in whether they have enough man power like retailers. For fashion, most goes for artists but for common people they prefer what comfortable to them. They don't gawked when seeing a person wearing fashionable cloth during the hot sunny day, probably they think the person having mental issue. As for me, I loves Japan as it is a beautiful country, high dedication people, hard working but sadly they are more workaholic and that's why they become more stressful in their life. We should learn from each other whether to become more efficient and to have balance of life.

Setiap kali musim berubah kena ubah schedule harian. Bila musim sejuk, kesejukan menyebabkan kulit kering dan pedih. Bila tiba summer, okay la cuma siang jadi terlalu panjang pulak. Bila puasa memang terasa penatnya. Nak qiyamullail pun terkejar-kejar sebab malam terlalu pendek.

Somehow this video touches me in certain ways..i'm glad that moving to malaysia have changed your perspective about life in a better way..we wish you a blissful, tranquil and joyful journey throughout your stay over here.. May you found your own self, warmth and be truly happy about it :)
Because there is NO OTHER relationship than is more important THAN the one you have WITH YOURSELVES. Thats it. Period. Own who you are. Respect yourself. Then, unknowingly you will honour & respect others too. And let them 'owning' who they are too. :) Good luck!

I ever worked for a Japanese company. It was a very crazy phase for me. My boss would email me at 4am in the morning cos he was still in the office and came back 4 hours later to start a new working day. GILA you know! I was almost swallowed and drowned by their stress working condition. I lasted for about 2 years. Can't forget the 40 minutes lunch time which I had to rush through the food queue and lunch. I worked like hell until I asked myself what am I chasing and working so fast for? I felt the depression was going to set in and I quickly resigned. I never regret once. Japanese working culture is really bad for one's physical and mental health.
Aki, you're doing the right thing to make your life healthier, wealthier and happier! Congrats!

Malaysians always admire Japan and the Japanese and we often say that we should be more like you guys in terms of time keeping and work ethics but now you have given us another way of looking at our own culture. Tq for such a good video and view. Hope you have a meaningful and happy stay here. ❤️

It's nice to see these kind of videos from time to time as it helps Malaysians to be grateful with what we have going on. We have a lot to improve on but we have our good moments and that's worth celebrating.
While it is a bit cringy to know that Malaysians are a bit lax when it comes to their work which unfortunately translate to being perceived as being lazy but we do believe that you shouldn't die for your work so that's a good thing.

Being Malaysian is something really special to me so I'm really glad you could learn more of yourself while you're here. After studying and living abroad for a while, I really appreciate Malaysia for being the way it is despite all it's big flaws so I relate a little from this video. It was really tough living in a more fast paced, first world country and the trade for my freedom wasn't worth it for me. There's always room for improvement and the problems that people experience in Japan do happen in Malaysia as well perhaps varying in degree, circumstances and context in terms of origin. But it's interesting to see how you see Malaysia and I hope that it can continue to give you better experiences. Take care!

I have been living in Japan tokyo for almost 1.5years and frankly, I still miss my home country. Japan is beautiful but sometimes, as a foreigner, we became too mindful about their culture and try to conform to their lifestyle. I live in an apartment that is so tiny, cozy though but I paid a hefty price for the location near Higashi Shinjuku. Living in Japan has certainly changed my perspective in life. I am so looking forward to go back home soon!

Thumbs up on your fourth point! It's great that you've come to realisation of life that making comparisons with others constantly will make you less happy and unable to focus on the things that matter to you the most. But no doubt one should thrive to be better of who they are now without the need of changing oneself solely because of others.

Also please if you have time come to the 'kampung' area in any state and you will be surprise how generous the people are. We always have 'kenduri' and always giving food to each other. But now corona time, we don't have that anymore.. Hope everything will comeback to normal again..
