I will be using mfw Exploring Countries and Cultures with my 4th and 5th graders and mfw K with my twins, who will be in kindergarten. The last year and a half we worked through mfw voyage of discovery and mfw adventures in us history. I'm praying that even with a baby coming in August that we will still be able to enjoy My Fathers World without feeling stressed but we can just take longer if we need to! Thanks for sharing what you're using! :)
Congrats on a new baby! I’m sure you could tailor it to fit your life in this season. That’s the wonderful thing about homeschooling. We get to choose what we do and what we don’t. I can’t wait for my younger ones to be able to do MFW together! I started our homeschool journey 7 years ago with MFW and have no idea why I stopped!
We use MFW as well Preschool, Pre K, Kindergarten, 1st (loosely) and RTR. And I, myself, school all day as well. I block schedule and it has worked fine the last 2 years.
I’m going to be using the block system too! I’m glad to hear it has worked for you. Very encouraging to hear. I was nervous to make the change of everyone being separate.
@Libertyschoolhouseplans I found that all my kiddos still like to gather. So, while I work on, say Kinder, if it's a read aloud or craft. All littles like to join in. I never call them over but without fail by the end of the story all are snuggled together. Same with the other cycles. Though no one is interested in eachother phonics or math🤣. They bail on those parts which is just fine. I have tried to join them together by choosing one program and doing solo phonics and it was actually more stressful. So blocking is what has worked best.
In the past I’ve chosen SCM because I can pick and choose what I want to use. This year though I am using MFW for all of my children except for my oldest who is in challenge A in Classical Conversations and his workload is too much to do both. It’s so hard to choose between these great companies!!!
i love seeing how you organize MFW ❤ thanks for sharing your order

Would you be able to explain why you chose SCM for your older kids instead of MFW?
