For real, I hadn't watched his stream for a while except for special events, because it was always basically him shitting on Blizzard/him watching a video shitting on Blizzard (which I do agree with). Ya limit break priority goes as follow. -Tank only if there is a raid/trial mechanic which requires it. -Healer LB3 for when to many people are dead, healer LB3 mass rezes everyone and heals everyone to max HP. -Melee DPS does the most damage but to one target. -Ranged Physical DPS does a LB in a straight line does slightly less then melee. -Magic DPS does less damage but in a circle AoE. -Healer/Tank LB should never be used unless in above situations.
I used LB tank to avoid teamwipe when my healers didn't heal properly during my massive pull and I randomly used my invul against random mobs like 3 minutes before...
In dungeons you only should ever use ranged/caster lb to clear wall pulls, saving it for bosses is wasteful. As for raids priority goes to melee dps always unless there is very specific mechanic that requires tank to use it but thats like... 4 fights in the entire game? Healers should never lb unless its lb3 and 5-6 people are dead and even then if you get to that point its better to reset the fight, exception is when you prog the fight and learning mechs.
I remember playing, FFXIV years ago made it to like level 45 and then I dropped the game. After a few months of pestering me my gf convinced me to play again. Just finished the last shadowbringer quest a week ago. It's worth it man. At least to me. MMO combat usually sucks, but this games is tolerable.

It's not a part of the game that Squeenix created, it's just something that the housing, furniture, and emote systems are being used by players to do.
In WOW any unsuspecting person going to any "Goldshire Inn" can literally walk into something "R" rated or worse going on. That's not something I want to see flashed across my screen in messages I didn't solicit! At least in FF14 It's in player housing! The public at large doesn't even know it's going on! I think FF14's way is best for that kind of content that the players made up to RP.

It's a bit like Sax Workers irl, you know it exists but you have to search for it. I mean, I wanted to know about every communities in this game and learned about erp by accident.
At this point, Asmon and Zepla should just unite their good fanbases of WoW and FFXIV by grouping up and just playing each other's favorite MMO together now and then for events or end-game content. It's clear enough that both fanbases are starting to intermix further, just connect the chain already and play your games together. Honestly, would Twitch Prime to that 100/100 times.
Mostly when it comes to LB3 in raids it is circumstantial. Usually goes like this. DPS>Heals>Tank Heals LB3 is usually reserved in case the raid is going to suffer a wipe. Sadly if LB3 Heals is used it usually means the raid is not going so well and might wipe anyways. Tank LB3 is SITUATION based. If the boss is about to use a massive attack and everyone is sitting at half health that usually results in an instagib. Tank LB3 can potentially just ignore that mechanic. DPS LB3 is pretty much what it sounds like, a killing blow. Depending on the fight it can either smoke a raid boss or if a large number of adds suddenly show up it can be used for a massive AOE, especially if you're playing Black Mage. Most ranged DPS use cone/LoS attacks. Melee DPS attacks ARE DEVASTATING. They scale with your current ilevel and stats. Samurai for example hits like a truck. Dragoon actually summons a mini version of Midgarsormr which is evil looking and VERY BA, while Monk is Final Heaven. Mechanist is one of my favorites because I call it the, "High Altitude Ion Cannon," because that's what it looks like.
The information you put out for some of the DPS LB3s is incorrect. Ranged Physical do *not* have a cone or line of sight attack, they have a ***line*** attack, and casters have ***big circle***. All Ranged Physical and Casters all have the same potency values for their LB3s,and since Ranged Physical do less overall dps on their own, if you're able to hit every target with it anyways,its better to Ranged Phys LB instead of Caster. Black Mage is also the worst caster/ranged to LB3 overall since it does the most dps itself. Melee LB3s have higher potency than ranged/Caster but are single target only" rather than aoe. All melee LB3s do the exact same amount of damage, and since Samurai deal the most amount of dps themselves, are the *worst* option to have perform the LB3.
Adding to this: The DPS LBs all scale solely with your party's average ilvl for their weapons. It ignores all debuffs/buffs and enemy debuffs, so the damage from LB3 of a higher end ilvl 535 group and a lower skilled ilvl 535 group is the same. As a result, in higher parties, the timing of LB3 sometimes comes during low points in a classes damage if it's at all possible before mass raid buffs or right after those buffs. LBs take around 5 seconds of cast time and animation lock you in place during it, so using them can mess with your rotation if you aren't careful. Meele LB is always single target. Heavy damage, usually resulting in a full 1-2% of the bosses hp in high end raids. Ranged LB is always a line aoe. It has the longest linear range of any LB3, which can be useful for some fights, such as Eden 4 Savage. Caster LB is always a circle aoe. It has the largest AoE in terms of how much of the area it hits. Damage wise: Meele > Caster > Ranged typically. Healer LB3s are all the same, the healer will revive all players in range that are currently dead back to life, while full healing everyone else. Usually helpful in prog runs when you want to see further in a fight after scuffing mechanics, or saving your party after a wipe in alliance raids (happens more than you would think). Should be noted reviving takes a few seconds and you are NOT invulnerable if you're revived through an LB3 unlike normal revives. Tank LB3 is as it was stated, 80% party mitigation. Usually really clear when you need to pop this. There's a few that exist even in the normal runs so these aren't savage exclusive. Some fights will require the use of particular LB3s, such as UwU (Ultima Weapon Ultimate, also called The Weapon's Refrain): Being an Ultimate, that fight requires the use of a Melee LB3, a caster LB3, a healer LB3, and a Tank LB3
@@Kalanin399 For normal mode tank lb3 the only ones i can recall are A12 and WoL so you could argue that tank lb realy is not a normal mode thing, hence why so many tanks dont even bother with assining lb to their skillbar
Tank LB is almost always never used. Usually, the Raidwides and Tank Busters can be mitigated properly with heals + tank cooldowns. If anything, higher content tends to save LB3 for the healer for the partywide resurrect, or for Melee DPS.

Wow. You started with a video on FFXIV's brothel scene for this video compilation. That was a deep fucking dive to take for just starting out in this world. I've visited a few of these, mainly between Faerie, Jenova, and Adamantoise, and the thing that I can appreciate about those places is the level of craft they put into furnishing these places (it gives me the question of "how did they do that" sometimes), as well as the fact that they do enjoy simply role playing as something more unconventional than what the game is typically for.

I'm loving watching Asmon playing through FFXIV it's been such a cool experience to see him moving through the game and putting his own spin on the FFXIV world, it has been so wholesome, but honestly I'm at the point where I've turned the chat off XD. I don't see why chat feels the need to spam "do this, do that" at him like it's the first time Asmon has played an MMO. Like there was a point during the stream today people where spamming "tank stance" when he was in an instanced battle and the only person there... HE DOESNT NEED TANK STANCE TO HOLD EMNITY IF HE IS THE ONLY PLAYER THERE! Then a bit later on people where all shocked and "Pog"ing when he entered a dungeon and immediatly put tank stance on, like.. seriously? The guy has spent half of his life playing MMO's pretty much daily, do you REALLY think he hasnt researched this game and hasnt taken the time to learn some basic functions. People need to back off and let him play how he wants and IF he asks a question then provide some input or advice but until then, stop the backseating it's pure cringe.
The benefits of playing other games are that you can understand mechanics by function if not by name between games thus making it easier for you to adapt to the differences more quickly. I've played many MMOs and while they are all different in their own ways and emphasize certain things over others you tend to run into the same basic ideas all over and what differs is the nomenclature and in some cases implementation.

The big difference is that in FF the RP and ERP can happen privately in houses or apartments where in WoW it only happens in public, since there is no housing system.
Player made world building is a positive for mmos imo. whether it be the ‘red light district areas’ or just hangout spots it makes the game feel more alive even if u never go to those areas. It was always fun to have a specific spot out in a cool place your guild would hang out at

That brothel is on Hyperion. I've spoken with some of the people involved, and everyone is really chill. The server itself, however, isn't really an ERP hub. The real ERP hub is Balmung. The Balmung Quicksands puts Goldshire to absolute shame. It's a place best not spoken about.

Whats even funnier is that WoW has legit beast races where furries can trully express themselves, so ive seen some shit. I basically steer clear of that whole zone whenever i visit an RP server.
I play XIV and I enjoy watching his XIV content so far. I think it's pretty fair to say playing both games is good from a business perspective as he gains viewers like me who want to see the XIV content but not necessarily the WoW content. Dip in both pots of gold!
The uh..tank will use their LB like .00134% of the time. DPS get it basically every other time, and healers will use it during a raid as it will raise (that's revive for you WoW players) the entire Alliance (party, there are 3 in raids) or heal all Alliance members. Good for situations where the dps think they can forget about mechanics.
I feel awkward recognizing that house. Every detail is familiar. While waiting for ques I like to sometimes scope out other people's interior designs. I was in a brothel and didn't know it. OMG

When I saw Asmon dance around mobs as a tank, I was just begging for someone to guide him to the Crap guide :P And so they did! Also, Limit Break bar is shared, so if the tank uses it, dps or healer cannot. Tank LB: massive damage reduction. Rarely used, but some mayor boss mechanics can be ignored with a well timed LB3. Healer LB: shyte hit the fan, almost everyone is dead. LB3 will revive everyone with full hp, full mp. Rarely used, but useful when learning savage tier content. Physical melee DPS : single target massive damage spike. More LB bars = more damage. Physical ranged DPS : very long line aoe, hits multiple targets, but less powerfull on a single target. More LB bars = wider line and more damage. Best used on 2 or 3 distance targets. Magical ranged DPS : targetted circular aoe, hits multiple targets, but less powerfull on a single target. More LB bars = bigger aoe and more damage. Best used on bunched up enemies. LB bars are lost when initiating a fight with a boss, so use them as an opener if you do. The bars are typically charged to max during the boss fight once or twice. Also, it takes a few seconds to charge, during which you are immobile, so time your LB usage! If you get hit at the wrong time, the boss can interrupt the LB (losing you some or all of the bars). Oh, and MCH has the most awesome LB3. It summons a satellite beam cannon in the sky above, which proceeds to melt everything in a line through the map.

After all they blamed everyone else and has a Mentor Crown. So the typical bad-example of a Mentor. Just finished the last shadowbringer quest a week ago. It's worth it man. At least to me. MMO combat usually sucks, but this games is tolerable.

Don't worry if you don't end up liking it, not every game is for everyone. That being said its end game pve has a lot of super fun fights that feel rewarding once you finally down them.

FFXIV has some weird stuff in it but the game is its own world and the players mold it, that level of socialization is what makes an MMO an MMO.
It is the first time in my entire "TH-cam Life", that i really feel tremendous JOY watching asmond enjoying this new journey. Im so happy for you, for real. I hope you spend more time in this game. I begun playing 1 month ago, and it is the most satisfiying experience since Lich King. I do not regret to play this game. What can i say, my first contact with RPG was Final Fantasy 7 in 1997, wow not even existed, and im glad that im back in the Final Fantasy Universe, and you are here too, that´s really BADASS dude!

It's not a part of the game that Squeenix created, it's just something that the housing, furniture, and emote systems are being used by players to do.
In WOW any unsuspecting person going to any "Goldshire Inn" can literally walk into something "R" rated or worse going on. That's not something I want to see flashed across my screen in messages I didn't solicit! At least in FF14 It's in player housing! The public at large doesn't even know it's going on! I think FF14's way is best for that kind of content that the players made up to RP.

It's a bit like Sax Workers irl, you know it exists but you have to search for it.
I mean, I wanted to know about every communities in this game and learned about erp by accident.
At this point, Asmon and Zepla should just unite their good fanbases of WoW and FFXIV by grouping up and just playing each other's favorite MMO together now and then for events or end-game content. It's clear enough that both fanbases are starting to intermix further, just connect the chain already and play your games together. Honestly, would Twitch Prime to that 100/100 times.

These "artisans" are simply doing the work to help the savage raiders chill after 5 hours of failing. The whole community basicly helps each other.
Mostly when it comes to LB3 in raids it is circumstantial. Usually goes like this.
DPS>Heals>Tank
Heals LB3 is usually reserved in case the raid is going to suffer a wipe. Sadly if LB3 Heals is used it usually means the raid is not going so well and might wipe anyways.
Tank LB3 is SITUATION based. If the boss is about to use a massive attack and everyone is sitting at half health that usually results in an instagib. Tank LB3 can potentially just ignore that mechanic.
DPS LB3 is pretty much what it sounds like, a killing blow. Depending on the fight it can either smoke a raid boss or if a large number of adds suddenly show up it can be used for a massive AOE, especially if you're playing Black Mage. Most ranged DPS use cone/LoS attacks. Melee DPS attacks ARE DEVASTATING. They scale with your current ilevel and stats. Samurai for example hits like a truck. Dragoon actually summons a mini version of Midgarsormr which is evil looking and VERY BA, while Monk is Final Heaven. Mechanist is one of my favorites because I call it the, "High Altitude Ion Cannon," because that's what it looks like.
And then there is Red Mage that burns out your eyes
The information you put out for some of the DPS LB3s is incorrect.
Ranged Physical do *not* have a cone or line of sight attack, they have a ***line*** attack, and casters have ***big circle***.
All Ranged Physical and Casters all have the same potency values for their LB3s,and since Ranged Physical do less overall dps on their own, if you're able to hit every target with it anyways,its better to Ranged Phys LB instead of Caster. Black Mage is also the worst caster/ranged to LB3 overall since it does the most dps itself.
Melee LB3s have higher potency than ranged/Caster but are single target only" rather than aoe.
All melee LB3s do the exact same amount of damage, and since Samurai deal the most amount of dps themselves, are the *worst* option to have perform the LB3.

Adding to this:
The DPS LBs all scale solely with your party's average ilvl for their weapons. It ignores all debuffs/buffs and enemy debuffs, so the damage from LB3 of a higher end ilvl 535 group and a lower skilled ilvl 535 group is the same. As a result, in higher parties, the timing of LB3 sometimes comes during low points in a classes damage if it's at all possible before mass raid buffs or right after those buffs.
LBs take around 5 seconds of cast time and animation lock you in place during it, so using them can mess with your rotation if you aren't careful.
Meele LB is always single target. Heavy damage, usually resulting in a full 1-2% of the bosses hp in high end raids.
Ranged LB is always a line aoe. It has the longest linear range of any LB3, which can be useful for some fights, such as Eden 4 Savage.
Caster LB is always a circle aoe. It has the largest AoE in terms of how much of the area it hits.
Damage wise: Meele > Caster > Ranged typically.
Healer LB3s are all the same, the healer will revive all players in range that are currently dead back to life, while full healing everyone else. Usually helpful in prog runs when you want to see further in a fight after scuffing mechanics, or saving your party after a wipe in alliance raids (happens more than you would think). Should be noted reviving takes a few seconds and you are NOT invulnerable if you're revived through an LB3 unlike normal revives.
Tank LB3 is as it was stated, 80% party mitigation. Usually really clear when you need to pop this. There's a few that exist even in the normal runs so these aren't savage exclusive.
Some fights will require the use of particular LB3s, such as UwU (Ultima Weapon Ultimate, also called The Weapon's Refrain): Being an Ultimate, that fight requires the use of a Melee LB3, a caster LB3, a healer LB3, and a Tank LB3
@@Kalanin399 For normal mode tank lb3 the only ones i can recall are A12 and WoL so you could argue that tank lb realy is not a normal mode thing, hence why so many tanks dont even bother with assining lb to their skillbar

Tank LB is almost always never used. Usually, the Raidwides and Tank Busters can be mitigated properly with heals + tank cooldowns. If anything, higher content tends to save LB3 for the healer for the partywide resurrect, or for Melee DPS.

I've visited a few of these, mainly between Faerie, Jenova, and Adamantoise, and the thing that I can appreciate about those places is the level of craft they put into furnishing these places (it gives me the question of "how did they do that" sometimes), as well as the fact that they do enjoy simply role playing as something more unconventional than what the game is typically for.

I'm loving watching Asmon playing through FFXIV it's been such a cool experience to see him moving through the game and putting his own spin on the FFXIV world, it has been so wholesome, but honestly I'm at the point where I've turned the chat off XD. I don't see why chat feels the need to spam "do this, do that" at him like it's the first time Asmon has played an MMO. Like there was a point during the stream today people where spamming "tank stance" when he was in an instanced battle and the only person there... HE DOESNT NEED TANK STANCE TO HOLD EMNITY IF HE IS THE ONLY PLAYER THERE! Then a bit later on people where all shocked and "Pog"ing when he entered a dungeon and immediatly put tank stance on, like.. seriously? The guy has spent half of his life playing MMO's pretty much daily, do you REALLY think he hasnt researched this game and hasnt taken the time to learn some basic functions. People need to back off and let him play how he wants and IF he asks a question then provide some input or advice but until then, stop the backseating it's pure cringe.

The benefits of playing other games are that you can understand mechanics by function if not by name between games thus making it easier for you to adapt to the differences more quickly. I've played many MMOs and while they are all different in their own ways and emphasize certain things over others you tend to run into the same basic ideas all over and what differs is the nomenclature and in some cases implementation.

The big difference is that in FF the RP and ERP can happen privately in houses or apartments where in WoW it only happens in public, since there is no housing system.

Player made world building is a positive for mmos imo. whether it be the ‘red light district areas’ or just hangout spots it makes the game feel more alive even if u never go to those areas. It was always fun to have a specific spot out in a cool place your guild would hang out at

I like how the video opens up in a fucking brothel interview and ends with an amazing animation by JoCat. Also, FFXIV brothels aren't limited to a single place but rather a fuck ton of places since player housing allows them to make their own business, each with their own rules and it's as amazing as it is terrifying.
I was so confused to why there was so many people around on Cactuar then I looked on twitch and saw my man had 140k viewers. The chat was complaining about the griefers nonstop for hours.

That brothel is on Hyperion. I've spoken with some of the people involved, and everyone is really chill. The server itself, however, isn't really an ERP hub.
The real ERP hub is Balmung. The Balmung Quicksands puts Goldshire to absolute shame. It's a place best not spoken about.

Whats even funnier is that WoW has legit beast races where furries can trully express themselves, so ive seen some shit.
I basically steer clear of that whole zone whenever i visit an RP server.

The uh..tank will use their LB like .00134% of the time. DPS get it basically every other time, and healers will use it during a raid as it will raise (that's revive for you WoW players) the entire Alliance (party, there are 3 in raids) or heal all Alliance members. Good for situations where the dps think they can forget about mechanics.

When I saw Asmon dance around mobs as a tank, I was just begging for someone to guide him to the Crap guide :P And so they did!
Also, Limit Break bar is shared, so if the tank uses it, dps or healer cannot.
Tank LB: massive damage reduction. Rarely used, but some mayor boss mechanics can be ignored with a well timed LB3.
Healer LB: shyte hit the fan, almost everyone is dead. LB3 will revive everyone with full hp, full mp. Rarely used, but useful when learning savage tier content.
Physical melee DPS : single target massive damage spike. More LB bars = more damage.
Physical ranged DPS : very long line aoe, hits multiple targets, but less powerfull on a single target. More LB bars = wider line and more damage. Best used on 2 or 3 distance targets.
Magical ranged DPS : targetted circular aoe, hits multiple targets, but less powerfull on a single target. More LB bars = bigger aoe and more damage. Best used on bunched up enemies.
LB bars are lost when initiating a fight with a boss, so use them as an opener if you do. The bars are typically charged to max during the boss fight once or twice.
Also, it takes a few seconds to charge, during which you are immobile, so time your LB usage! If you get hit at the wrong time, the boss can interrupt the LB (losing you some or all of the bars).
Oh, and MCH has the most awesome LB3. It summons a satellite beam cannon in the sky above, which proceeds to melt everything in a line through the map.
